Texas cop vows to give ‘everyone' a ticket after she didn't get laid the night before
The post showed uniformed Harris County Constable Precinct 5 Deputy Jennifer Escalera writing on a notepad with the caption, 'Didn't get cracked last night so everyone is getting a ticket' — a nod to her apparently unfulfilling sex life.
The cop blurred parts of her uniform but left her nametag visible in her post.

The incident is now under investigation, according to Fox 26.
'Our administration is aware and internal affairs has opened an investigation. We have no other comment at this time,' the constable's office said.

Escalera was sworn into the force in September 2021, according to a previous Facebook post from the precinct.
The female cop's TikTok account features several posts showing her in uniform. She also posts about being a mom.

One of the posts shows Escalera getting ready 'to work as a female Police Officer' as the text across the screen reads, 'contemplating if I really need this job, knowing that I do.'
Residents of the Texas precinct were outraged over some of the cop's posts.
'I think it's really inappropriate and disrespectful,' resident Alex Fitch told Fox 26.

'Not as much distrust, but you can't rely on them. It makes them look unprofessional when they start posting videos like that. You can't take them seriously,' Fitch said.
'Then they wonder why, when you see them, they say, 'Why don't you respect me?' or, 'Why are you talking to me like that?' Well, you don't treat yourself like a woman, and you ain't treating yourself like a police officer.'

5 soldiers shot at Army's Fort Stewart in Georgia, base reports
SAVANNAH, Ga. -- Five soldiers were shot on Wednesday at the Army's Fort Stewart in Georgia before a shooter was arrested. Parts of Fort Stewart in southeast Georgia were locked down after a shooter was reported on the sprawling Army post, a spokesperson said. The army said the shooter has been arrested and there's no threat to the community. A post on Fort Stewart's Facebook page told all personnel in the locked down area to 'stay inside, close and lock all windows and doors.' Located about 40 miles (64 kilometers) southwest of Savannah, Fort Stewart is the largest Army post east of the Mississippi River. It's home to thousands of soldiers assigned to the Army's 3rd Infantry Division and family members. The shooter was in the area of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, the fort said online. The fort's three elementary schools were also on lockdown, Community Superintendent Brian Perry told WTOC-TV. The schools have nearly 1,400 students, according to the Department of Defense. Three schools just outside the base took steps similar to a lockdown 'out of an abundance of caution,' the Liberty County School System said online. Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp is in contact with responding law enforcement, he said in a statement. U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter, whose district includes Fort Stewart, said in an online post that he's monitoring the developments.

Former Donaldsonville mayoral candidate arrested on obstruction of justice charge
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Jail records show that former Donaldsonville mayoral candidate and current vice chair of the West Ascension Hospital Board was arrested again Monday. Glenn Price, 68, was charged with obstruction of justice. Records available online show he posted a $5,000 bond and was released from the Ascension Parish Jail on Tuesday afternoon. A spokesperson for the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed that the latest arrest is connected to Price's previous arrest in October 2024 in connection with a multi-parish stolen property scheme. Investigators learned that Price allegedly tampered with evidence while colluding with his girlfriend. In a video posted on Facebook, Price called the charges 'bogus' and maintained his innocence. 'As a matter of fact, I stole nothing. I don't live my life as a thief. I live my life to work in my community because, once again, that's what God's mission is for my life,' he said. Detectives started an investigation into the theft and illegal sale of copper wire that was reportedly stolen from utility poles in Livingston and East Feliciana parishes in September 2024. According to Ascension Parish deputies, Price was accused of selling copper to a Baton Rouge recycling center without a license. Price was initially charged with license required and illegal possession of things over $25,000 on Oct. 11. He faced new charges of money laundering over $100,000, illegal transmission of monetary funds on Oct. 31. Council to discuss resolution to remove West Ascension Hospital Board member
BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Ascension Parish Council is set to discuss a resolution Thursday to remove West Ascension Hospital board member Glenn Price. Price, 68, a former Donaldsonville mayoral candidate and the current vice chair of the hospital board, was arrested again in July in connection with a multi-parish stolen property scheme. According to deputies, he allegedly sold stolen copper to a Baton Rouge recycling center without a license. The resolution seeks to remove Price from his position on the hospital board after felony arrests. He was formally charged with money laundering over $100,000, illegal transmission of monetary funds, illegal possession of things over $25,000 and license required. His most recent arrest was on a charge of obstruction of justice. Court documents show that Price's trial date is set for Oct. 15. Price has publicly maintained his innocence in the case and called the charges 'bogus.' In a July 29 video posted on Facebook, he said he 'stole nothing' and that he lives his life to serve the community, not as a thief. A Wednesday press release from Price claimed that the resolution violates Louisiana law. The council meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 7.
