QlearSoul SoulBox S1 Vinyl Record Player With Stereo Speakers

The Qlearsoul SoulBox S1. That slip mat looks more than a little like Canada's CBC logo...
If you're looking for an affordable way to listen to your record collection, there's a new option in the SoulBox S1 from QlearSoul. The system includes a turntable, Bluetooth streaming support and bookshelf speakers, all wrapped in a warm wood finish and typically retails in the $250 range.
Listening to records with true stereo sound is the ideal setup. However, many people make compromises early on and end up with a system that lacks this capability. A 'suitcase-style' portable record player, or a turntable plugged into a portable speaker delivering mono sound, for example.
There are many reasons why someone might find themselves in this position. A component system with a receiver or amplifier, PHONO pre-amp, turntable and speakers can be an expensive proposition and then there's the challenge of matching components that are going to look good and, more importantly, sound good together. Space is often an issue. And then there's the complexity of setting up a component system and a turntable. For someone who's not comfortable with working with audio equipment, this prospect can be daunting.
The turntable arrives largely assembled.
With the SoulBox S1, QlearSoul aimed at eliminating these barriers. Both the PHONO pre-amp and the system amplifier are built into the turntable. That means stereo sound with only one power supply (the bookshelf speakers are not powered) and all that's needed is to connect the speakers to the turntable with the included cables. The turntable itself is shipped largely assembled, including having the cartridge pre-mounted on the tonearm. You'll need to attach the counterweight, balance the tonearm and set the anti-skate dial, attach the belt and platter, then slip the plastic cover on the pre-installed hinges. Clear instructions are included, no tools are required and this should be a five or 10 minute exercise that only needs to be done once.
A built-in, switchable PHONO pre-amp, plus a built-in stereo amplifier to drive the bookshelf ... More speakers.
Many entry level record players and turntables keep costs down by using a generic cartridge and/or stylus. Doing so does help to keep the price down, but at the cost of sound quality. A cheap stylus that tracks too heavily can also physically damage a record, which is the last thing you want to do.
QlearSoul went with the Audio-Technica AT-3600L cartridge, plus an adjustable counterweight and antiskate. The AT-3600L is a popular, budget-friendly offering from a leading audio brand. It's known for providing an entertaining listen while helping to minimize skips from used records. With millions of these sold, it's easy to find a replacement stylus.
Equipped with the workhorse Audio-Technica AT-3600L cartridge
The speakers included with this system are each equipped with a 2-inch silk dome tweeter for crisp high notes with 4.5-inch fiberglass cones covering the mid-range and bass.
Included bookshelf speakers
QlearSoul describes the SoulBox S1 as 'an entry-level audiophile system designed for ultimate versatility.' To that end, the SoulBox S1 fills the role of a turntable connected to a pair of bookshelf speakers allowing users to listen to their records in true stereo sound. Its Audio-Technica AT-3600L cartridge has a reputation as a solid all-round performer and its stylus can be upgraded should you want to take the sound of records up a notch. For that matter, if you happen to buy a component stereo system later on, you can use this as a pure turntable that feeds into that system, thanks to its switchable pre-amp and RCA output jacks.
Option to use this as a standalone turntable.
With the SoulBox S1's built-in Bluetooth connectivity, you can go digital and wirelessly stream music from your favorite platform from your phone, tablet, or PC–enjoying the tracks in stereo.
The bottom line is the QlearSoul SoulBox S1 provides a budget-friendly entry to records, with true stereo sound and support for Bluetooth wireless music streaming. All in a package that's compact, easy to set up and wrapped in a warm, wood-look finish.

Leonardo DRS Successfully Completes First Open-Water Demonstration of its Counter-UAS Maritime Mission Equipment Package for Small Uncrewed Surface Vessels

ARLINGTON, Va., August 12, 2025--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Leonardo DRS, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRS) announced today that is has successfully completed its first series of open-water demonstrations of its advanced maritime Mission Equipment Package (MEP) for counter‑UAS (C‑UAS) naval fleet protection. The DRS maritime MEP is a scalable C-UAS system based on DRS's proven land-based mobile short-range air defense and C-UAS systems. This system is designed to be mounted on a range of small uncrewed surface vessels providing remote ship protection at varying distances, providing a real solution as the Navy looks to autonomous surface vessels to protect ships from air and surface threats. The initial demonstrations were conducted under realistic sea conditions and demonstrated the MEP's core integrated systems performance – the detection, identification and tracking of a UAS threat and counter-surface ship tracking. The mission equipment package used in the demonstration included a suite of DRS sensors and command-and-control technologies including the BlackLab passive radio frequency (RF) detection system, STAG electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) gimbal with advanced thermal cameras, and a tactical data management system using DRS's sensor fusion operating system and AI to support fusion and target recognition using RF and Optical modalities. "The U.S. Navy faces the same evolving drone threats as our land forces, and we recognize the urgency of delivering a reliable solution to protect the lives of sailors," said Cari Ossenfort, senior vice president and general manager of the Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business unit. "By leveraging our proven expertise in mobile ground-based counter-UAS and short-range air defense systems, we have rapidly developed and demonstrated a maritime force protection capability that provides sailors with full-spectrum situational awareness and the tools to detect, track, and defeat threats at the tactical edge." The DRS Maritime MEP is designed for mission-flexibility through modularity and platform agnosticism. It is able to integrate advanced active and passive RF, EO/IR sensors, 4G/5G electronic‑warfare systems, and scalable kinetic or non‑kinetic effectors using its MOSA open system architecture embedded in the Leonardo DRS operating system. The development and integration of the maritime Mission Equipment Package is an example of DRS's deep experience as a leading innovator and integrator supporting a wide range of missions for the U.S. military and allies around the world. The company's integration capability extends across all domains to support force protection, computer networking and C5I, as well as naval power and propulsion systems. Why Hubbell (HUBB) Stock Is Up Today

What Happened? Shares of electrical and electronic products company Hubbell (NYSE:HUBB) jumped 3.2% in the afternoon session after it agreed to acquire DMC Power, a provider of electrical grid components, for $825 million in cash. DMC Power provides critical connectors and tooling for utility substation and transmission markets. Hubbell's management stated the deal expands its presence in attractive markets, driven by growing power demand from datacenter buildouts and the need to upgrade aging infrastructure. The acquisition is expected to close by the end of 2025 and begin contributing to Hubbell's adjusted earnings per share in 2026. Supporting the stock's move was a broader rally in the Industrials sector, fueled by a favorable inflation report which raised hopes for a Federal Reserve interest rate cut. After the initial pop the shares cooled down to $432.24, up 3.5% from previous close. Is now the time to buy Hubbell? Access our full analysis report here, it's free. What Is The Market Telling Us Hubbell's shares are not very volatile and have only had 7 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today's move indicates the market considers this news meaningful, although it might not be something that would fundamentally change its perception of the business. The previous big move we wrote about was 14 days ago when the stock dropped 3.2% on the news that the company reported mixed second-quarter financial results, where a miss on revenue overshadowed a strong earnings beat. The electrical products manufacturer posted revenue of $1.48 billion, which fell short of analysts' consensus estimates of $1.51 billion. This top-line miss appeared to concern investors more than the company's otherwise strong bottom-line performance. Hubbell reported adjusted earnings of $4.93 per share, significantly surpassing Wall Street expectations. Furthermore, the company raised its full-year earnings guidance to a range of $17.65 to $18.15 per share. Despite the positive earnings and improved outlook, the market's reaction suggested that the slowdown in sales growth weighed heavily on sentiment. Hubbell is up 2.9% since the beginning of the year, and at $432.24 per share, it is trading close to its 52-week high of $472.12 from November 2024. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of Hubbell's shares 5 years ago would now be looking at an investment worth $2,939. Trump Signs Order Allowing Americans to Add Crypto in Their 401Ks. Here Are 3 of the Top-Rated Coins to Buy Now.

President Donald Trump positioned himself as a crypto-friendly candidate leading up to his reelection in November 2024. After being elected, he has consistently signed executive orders to promote cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and blockchain technology. On Aug. 7, Trump signed an executive order aimed at expanding access to alternative investments, including cryptocurrencies, in 401k retirement savings plans. He also allowed the government to own other digital currencies, or altcoins. These decisions have been followed by a general loosening of restrictions on the crypto sector. Many lawsuits were dropped or settled, like the one with Ripple, and his chumminess with players in the crypto industry seems far from over. Coinbase (COIN) was one of the sponsors of the 250th U.S. Army parade, and two of Trump's sons, along with some of his closest aids, are very into crypto. Just today, a company called ALT5 Sigma bought $1.5 billion worth of a crypto project by World Liberty Financial, a company in which both Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. are actively involved. Here are three cryptos to buy to benefit from this new Trump executive order, derived from Barchart's Popular Coins screener. Bitcoin Cash (BCHUSD) Bitcoin Cash (BCHUSD) may have slipped under the radar of many, but it has delivered terrific gains over the past three years, up nearly 400%. It is a hard fork of the original Bitcoin blockchain. Bitcoin Cash was made to address the shortcomings of the Bitcoin blockchain, which has long block times, with transaction confirmation taking 30 minutes or more. Bitcoin Cash was introduced as a solution, largely mirroring Bitcoin but offering larger block sizes and faster transactions. Although Bitcoin remains much more popular, Bitcoin Cash does have a dedicated fan base. If you believe that an altseason is on the horizon, buying BCH may give you solid exposure to it, as it still retains correlation with the broader market and has lots of upside potential due to its $12.3 billion market capitalization. BNB (BNBUSD) BNB (BNBUSD) is the primary cryptocurrency of the Binance ecosystem. It is also used for the Binance Exchange, which is the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange. The company's founder, Changpeng Zhao, was sentenced to four months in a U.S. prison after pleading guilty to violating money laundering laws. He was released in late September 2024. Binance has proved resilient through multiple crypto market downturns and having to pay $4.3 billion in penalties. The current setup looks much healthier, both financially and in terms of regulations in the Trump era. BNB is one of the most surefire ways to get long-term crypto exposure due to how often crypto investors trade, especially during altseason. The Binance network has undergone significant upgrades recently, and more positive catalysts may be on the way soon. Zhao is applying for a presidential pardon from Trump. The primary motivation for seeking the pardon appears to be lifting restrictions from his plea deal, which bar him from any management or operational role at Binance. A pardon would not erase the conviction, but could potentially allow him to resume involvement in Binance or its U.S. operations. In turn, this should lift BNB. Unus Sed Leo (LEOUSD) Unus Sed Leo (LEOUSD) is the native utility token for the Bitfinex cryptocurrency exchange. It operates on the Ethereum (ETHUSD) blockchain and provides benefits to holders such as tiered discounts on trading fees based on the amount of LEO owned. LEO could benefit from Trump's executive order indirectly through broader cryptocurrency market growth. Once altseason rolls around, traders will be much more incentivized to hold more LEO for fee discounts. The price action has been quite stable here, up 70% over the past three years, and you may be able to catch it before the next leg up.
