Sanjeev Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan's heartwarming encounter; Celebrity Chef wishes people to call Big B "the Sanjeev Kapoor of the acting world"
Celebrity chef
Sanjeev Kapoor
has always admired the legendary actor
Amitabh Bachchan
, and he has mentioned it in his anecdotes and revealed on several occasions on social media. While both of them are renowned for their exceptional work in the respective fields, they are also known for embracing simplicity and modesty. Recently, Kapoor shared a couple of heartwarming instances of meeting the actor on the set, leaving him with endearing memories.
"I am Amitabh Bachchan"
In an interview with Mashable India, Kapoor shared how he responds when someone mistakes him for another famous face. 'When anyone asks, 'Sir, your name?' My standard reply is, 'I am Amitabh Bachchan.' If you don't know who I am, you decide what you want to do with this information,' said the celebrity Chef. Interestingly, he told the same thing to Amitabh Bachchan when the two were shooting for a commercial together.
When Sanjeev Kapoor met Amitabh Bachchan
As aforementioned, Sanjeev Kapoor met Big B on the sets of a commercial. Initially, of course, there was an air of awkwardness, but as the day passed, they both got very comfortable. The celebrity chef revealed that it was almost mid of the day when the two indulged in a fun conversation, where he told the actor how people, while praising him, say, 'You are Amitabh Bachchan of the
culinary world
.'
He continued, "Yeh mazza nahi hai ki main khaane ki duniya ka Amitabh Bachchan hu, mazza uss din aayega jab vo aapko kahenge ki aap acting ke Sanjeev Kapoor hain (It will be even more fun when people would come and tell you that you are the Sanjeev Kapoor of acting)."
His cheekiness made Amitabh Bachchan laugh as well.
'I told him to tell me if something like this happens, no such luck yet,' he added in the interview, mentioning that they have enough camaraderie to talk amicably.
Amitabh Bachchan, the humble star
As the conversation evolved, Kapoor revealed another instance when they were shooting for a commercial. Bachchan, who is renowned for his 'Parampara, Prathistha, Anushasan,' never arrives late beyond the call time on the sets. While Kapoor reached the set before the call time to avoid any mishap, Bachchan arrived an hour and a half later due to an issue with a hairdo. The 'Don' actor immediately apologised, citing the hairstyle issue. The chef mentioned that Amitabh Bachchan doesn't necessarily need to be that humble, but he did.
Moreover, when Sanjeev tried to touch Bachchan's feet out of respect, the actor instantly grabbed his hand, and before the chef could respond, the 82-year-old said, 'What an honour to be with you, sir.' That's the moment when the chef was flabbergasted, but he expressed his admiration for the actor in the interview.

He is one such actor who has always been vocal about his thoughts in his blog and X handle. Recently, replying to a fan who told him, 'umar ho gayi', the Sooryavanshi star gave a befitting reply in a now-deleted tweet that you cannot miss. Amitabh Bachchan often tries his best to reply to every fan and their comments on X. Recently, a fan took to his X handle and wrote, 'Andheri raaton mein shehenshah kyu jaag rahe ho.. So jayiye ab umar ho gayi aapko.' Answering this tweet, the megastar wrote, 'ek din tumhari bhi umr ho jayegi.. Ishwar ne chaha.' Well, this tweet was taken down minutes after it went up. This is not the first time Big B's tweets have made it to the headlines. A couple of weeks back, his back-to-back blank tweets yet again became the topic of discussion amongst fans. It's not just his tweets that garner attention, but also his health that makes news. In his blog numbered '6222' published on February 28, 2025, the Paa actor spoke about multiple meetings and dealing with the tough task of deciding what work to take and what to refuse politely. Even after years of being associated with the industry, he still has doubts about whether he will be doing justice to what comes his way. Talking about facing age-related complications, Senior Bachchan expressed, 'As you age it's not just the hurdle of the lines one has to memorise, it's the multiple age-related contingencies that need to be followed to be able to deliver content as asked.' It's only when he returns home that he realises the 'several errors made and how to repair them.' Meanwhile, on the work front, Amitabh Bachchan has been busy hosting the ongoing season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Big B will also share the screen with Ranbir Kapoor in Ramayana.

They have never differentiated between their girl child and boy child and Big B had spoken about it in an old interview while he also revealed who will inherit his properties after him. In an old interview in 2011, he told Rediff, "When I die, whatever little I have will be equally divided between my daughter and my son — there is no differentiation. Ishaan Khatter says he lost 8-10 kilos for Homebound right after sporting washboard abs in The Royals: ‘In fact, not only weight…'
Ishaan Khatter recently revealed that while the washboard abs he sported in The Royals became a talking point, it became a 'disadvantage' for his following film, Homebound, for which he had to lose weight. 'After Royals, I had to lose weight for Homebound. In fact, not only weight, when I met the director, he told me to lose all my muscles. You have to look normal. So, it became a disadvantage. I completely understood why he said that. I lost about 8-10 kilos…to play a 21-22 year old boy,' he said. Advocating consistency, the actor stressed that one must figure out a way that works for them. 'This (his physique) is not the effort of just one or one and a half years. I have always been interested in fitness. I am a dancer. So, I try to maintain a base level of fitness so that even if I have to push through with less exercise for a few weeks, I can do it,' he said. Adding there is no hack, he told Mashable India, 'It's consistency. I know it's a boring answer, but it's the truth. Aap lagey raho. Itna hi karo ki aap agle din thak kar demotivate na ho jao (You be at it. Do only as much that you don't get demotivated because you feel tired the following day). Don't push yourself over the edge. People have these bursts of enthusiasm where they go to the gym, like in the New Year, and then they feel demotivated. We are made to move. We are designed to move. Just find your way of doing it.' Taking a cue from Ishaan's confession, let's understand how consistency pays off, even during extreme weight loss efforts. Quick fixes don't last — habits do Extreme weight loss without consistency is like building a sandcastle during a storm — it looks okay for a moment, then vanishes. But if you build brick by brick—eat cleanly daily, move every day, and sleep well—your body will stay strong, and the weight will stay off, said fitness coach Varun Rattan. Your body needs time to adapt Extreme weight loss methods like crash diets or overexercising shock the body. 'But your body doesn't like being shocked — it fights back with fatigue, cravings, and mood swings. Consistency helps your body adapt slowly and safely, preventing burnout or other adverse effects,' said Rattan. Real fat loss vs. water loss Fast methods often lead to water loss, not fat loss. 'You lose a few kilos quickly, but they return just as fast. With consistency, your body burns fat, and not just loses water. That's true, lasting weight loss,' said Rattan. Whether you have a short timeline or a big goal, start small, stay steady, and keep showing up daily. 'You'll be surprised how 8–10 kg can come off over a few months without destroying your energy or mental health — and how it stays off because your habits are now part of your life,' said Rattan.
