Jordan carries out two more Gaza aid airdrops, with UAE participation

The Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) continued their humanitarian efforts to support the Gaza Strip today, Monday, by carrying out two new aid airdrops in different areas of the Strip. The United Arab Emirates participated in the operation – said the statement by the JAF.
The two airdrops were conducted using C130 aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force and the UAE Air Force, delivering 17 tons of food aid and essential supplies.
These airdrops, executed in cooperation with the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, are a continuation of Jordan's sustained efforts amid the ongoing 'Israeli' war on the strip, the JAF said.
Since the beginning of the war on Gaza, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army has carried out 128 Jordanian airdrops, in addition to 268 joint airdrops conducted in cooperation with partner countries.

JAF said in a statement that the mission was carried out with seven aircraft: two from the Royal Jordanian Air Force, two from Germany and three from the UAE, France and Belgium. The supplies, amounted to 54 tonnes of humanitarian aid, were dropped from an altitude of approximately 2,500 feet to ensure the safety and quality of the materials upon landing. With Wednesday's operation, the total number of airdrops conducted by JAF over Gaza has reached 142, besides another 299 airdrops carried out in partnership with allied and friendly countries since the beginning of the humanitarian response.

AMMAN — Five military aircraft carrying 35 tonnes of humanitarian aid, including infant formula and food supplies, departed Tuesday from King Abdullah II Air Base in Zarqa to Gaza, as part of international efforts led by Jordan to airlift aid into areas in the besieged Strip that remain inaccessible by land. In a statement on Tuesday, the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army (JAF) said the operation included one aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force, joined by aircraft from the United Arab Emirates, France, and two from Germany. The coordinated airdrop aimed to reach vulnerable populations in the northern and central parts of the Gaza Strip. Each aid package was carefully packed into half-tonne sealed parcels to ensure safe delivery and minimise damage upon landing, JAF said, adding that the operation was conducted in coordination with several international humanitarian organisations operating on the ground in Gaza. With Tuesday's mission, the number of airdrops conducted by JAF has risen to 140, in addition to 293 joint airdrops carried out in partnership with allied and friendly nations. Since the resumption of airdrops on July 27, a total of 325 tonnes of humanitarian aid has been delivered to the besieged enclave, JAF said.

The latest operations bring to 139 the number of airdrops conducted by JAF, while the number of airdrops conducted with other countries has reached 289. In total, these airdrops have delivered nearly 305 tonnes of aid since resuming operation almost two weeks ago.
