Ione Skye opened up about her past relationship with the frontman of the six-time Grammy Award-winning Red Hot Chili Peppers, Anthony Kiedis.
Ione is known for her roles in Cameron Crowe's 1989 classic Say Anything... with John Cusack and Wayne's World (1992).
In her new book, Say Everything, Ione revealed intimate details of her life, including an "intimidating" story about Gwyneth Paltrow dating her brother, actor and singer Donovan Leitch, in the '90s.
In her memoir, Ione also talked about her relationship with RHCP frontman Anthony Kiedis when he was 24 and she was only 16 years old.
In the memoir, Ione revealed that her romance with the RHCP frontman was complicated by his heroin addiction. Once she became pregnant at 17, she ultimately made the painful decision not to keep the child.
In Say Everything, Ione stated she was "the type of girl who'd wanted a baby since I was a baby, who used to fantasize about finding a swaddled infant on my doorstep or catching a flying ghost baby with a butterfly net."
"But fantasizing was different from seeing," she wrote, "I couldn't see having a baby at this point."
Ione had placed blame on herself for not being more cautious but doesn't regret her decision to have an abortion. "I was taking care of myself now, making a choice that felt good and important for my future," she wrote, according to the publication. "I would not have a baby at 17, with someone who didn't want to be a dad, wouldn't commit to me and had anger issues. Not to mention the heroin."

Anthony Kiedis has been open about his struggles with drug addiction in the past, including in his 2004 autobiography Scar Tissue. He says he's been sober since 2000.
Ione explained to People that she was nervous about revealing everything in the memoir but felt that taking control of the narrative was important. "These girls on TikTok were saying things like, 'How could my mom let me be with Anthony?'" she said. "And I sort of clapped back, not in an aggressive way, but I was like, 'Well, my mom was really upset that I was with a rockstar like Anthony Kiedis.' And I don't know, I kind of started feeling like I was able to tell my side of the story, and I had a lot to tell."

Legendary R&B group named surprise headliner of Napa music festival

Earth, Wind & Fire will serve as the 'surprise headliner' for this year's Black Radio Experience presented by the Blue Note Jazz Festival, bringing its timeless catalog of soul, funk and R&B to Napa over Labor Day weekend. The nine-time Grammy Award-winning group, whose chart-topping hits like 'September' and 'Let's Groove' have become karaoke night staples, joins an already star-studded lineup curated by festival Artist in Residence Robert Glasper, promoters announced Tuesday, June 10. The three-day event, from Aug. 29–31 at the Meritage Resort and Spa, is also slated to feature Grammy-nominated soul singer Stokley and early 2000s rap, hip-hop and R&B acts such as The Roots, Jazmine Sullivan, Esperanza Spalding, Hiatus Kaiyote, D-Nice, Lupe Fiasco, and others. This marks the fourth annual Blue Note Jazz Festival Napa and the second year of the more intimate Black Radio Experience, which highlights contemporary and legacy Black artists across several genres. After parties over the festival weekend are scheduled on Aug. 29 and 30, boasting DJ sets from Talib Kweli, Questlove, DJ Jazzy Jeff and more. Black Radio Experience will kick off with a private opening dinner and concert hosted by Glasper on Aug. 28. Blue Note Jazz Festival Napa launched in 2022 at the Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena, hosted by controversial comedian Dave Chappelle. He also served as emcee the following year when the festival moved to the Silverado Resort & Spa. The multi-stage festival has seen marquee acts such as John Legend, Chance the Rapper, Mary J Blige and Andre 3000 over the years. Last year, Glasper and Blue Note organizers said they decided to launch the Black Radio Experience as a more intimate spin-off to foster a closer connection between the artists and their fans. It was hosted by Oakland native and radio personality Sway Calloway, who will return this year.

Clay Aiken says he'll need to be sedated as son trains to be a pilot

Singer Clay Aiken's son, whom he shares with longtime friend Jaymes Foster, is now 16 years old. And he's already working toward a major life goal. While talking with People, Aiken revealed that his son Parker Aiken is training to become a pilot. 'He's known what he wants to do for, gosh, his whole life,' the former American Idol contestant revealed to People. 'It was a little weird to me because I didn't know what I wanted to do — I still don't.' According to the proud, albeit nervous, father, Aiken said Parker has never once 'changed his mind' when it comes to fulfilling his dreams of being a pilot, sharing that the teenager has 'just went and did his first solo flight two weeks ago, so a big milestone there.' 'Now we're planning on the next one, which I'll need even more Xanax for,' Aiken admitted to People, noting that flight will consist of flying across the state on his own. 'I'm not going to be able to see the plane,' Aiken explained, saying he has yet to join Parker on one of his flights, although his mom Jaymes Foster has. 'You're gonna have to sedate me. Just call an anesthesiologist because I don't have the nerves for that,' despite the rave reviews Parker has received from his instructors. 'His instructors all have said he's better than the adults that they've taught, but like I said, he's been focused on it for years, and that's what he wants to do,' Aiken told People. 'I'm not worried about his skill level. I'm worried about the plane. I told him, 'When you are flying in a big plane, we can talk, but I don't do those JFK Jr. planes.'' 'He knows what he's doing,' Aiken conceded, per People. 'His idol is [pilot] Sully Sullenberger,' who famously landed a commercial plane in the Hudson River after a bird strike disabled both engines, 'and he wants to be as good as him. And that's what he puts his energy into, and I think he is.' Aiken appeared on the second season of Fox's 'American Idol' TV show, according to his website. He finished second place on the show in 2003, TV Insider reported.

The Emmy-winning animated series Rick and Morty is back for its eighth season. The irreverent series about a mad scientist and his grandson's adventures across the universe premiered in May on Adult Swim. New episodes are dropping weekly through July 27. The series, which stars Ian Cardoni, Harry Belden, Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell, and Spencer Grammer will also be airing in over 170 countries, so whether you're in the U.S. or abroad, here's everything you need to know about how to watch Rick and Morty Season 8, including where to stream it and how to watch it with the help of a VPN if you don't have cable. Season 8 of Rick and Morty premiered on Sunday, May 25. The series won't land on streaming in the U.S. until after the entire season wraps up — so if you're used to watching Rick and Morty on HBO Max, heads up that you'll have to wait until Sept. 1 to catch Season 8. Rick and Morty airs on Adult Swim. After an entire season is finished airing, it will eventually stream on HBO Max. It is however already available to stream on HBO Max in Australia... There are several ways you can watch Rick and Morty without cable. Adult Swim is available on several platforms, including DirecTV, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV and YouTube TV. Warner Bros. Discovery has also confirmed that episodes will be available to stream in the U.S. on Max, but not until Sept. 1. While the new season of Rick and Mortys won't be immediately available on Max (you'll have to wait until it arrives on Sept. 1), you can catch the past seven seasons on demand on the platform now. If you don't have cable but still want to stream Season 8 of Rick and Morty as new episodes are released, all it takes is a VPN. By using a VPN, you can access new episodes of Rick and Morty when they air in other countries and stream them on demand after they premiere. Just note that the premiere dates may vary. For example, it's scheduled to debut June 1 in the U.K. on Channel 4's My4, and May 26 on the Australian version of HBO Max (though you'll still need your US HBO subscription to watch it). Just set your VPN location to the U.K. or Australia, respectively. A VPN (virtual private network) helps protect your data, can mask your IP address and is perhaps most popular for being especially useful in the age of streaming. Whether you're looking to watch Friends on Netflix (which left the U.S. version of the streamer back in 2019) or tune in to overseas broadcasts, a VPN can help you out. Looking to try a VPN for the first time? This guide breaks down the best VPN options for every kind of user.
