PISQ students dazzle in inter-school competitions
Muhammad Hassan, a talented and promising kindergarten student, proudly clinched 1st Prize in the prestigious Little Muezzin Competition held at Doha Minaret Kindergarten.
In yet another remarkable accomplishment, Ahab Tazeem, a bright young student from PISQ Kindergarten, secured the 3rd Prize in the Mosque Drawing Competition organised by Maghreb International School – École Charlemagne.
PISQ students continued their winning streak, excelling in the Inter-School Quran Competition organised by TNG School.
Students from both the Boys' and Primary Wings of PISQ showcased remarkable talent, securing top positions across multiple categories in the competition.

Ayaan Abid (Grade 6-C) – 1st Position in Oracy (Quranic Reflections – 1-Minute Talk).
Ali Imtiaz (Grade 6-C) – 2nd Position in Tilawah (Quran Recitation)

From the Primary Wing:
Ibadullah Muhammad (Grade 4-C) – 3rd Position in Tilawah (Quran Recitation).

30 Qatari students attend 1st summer Holy Quran memorisation course
QNA Doha Thirty outstanding Qatari students participated in the first summer course launched by the Al Noor Quranic Educational Centre, affiliated with the Department of Da'wa and Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. The course aims to enhance the level of the Holy Quran memorisation and develop participants' educational and academic skills during the summer vacation. The three-week course focuses on the Holy Quran memorisation, with each student memorising two pages per day, along with daily review of previously memorised Quran. The course is part of an integrated educational programme that encompasses Quranic concepts, practical worship, vocal skills, sports activities, and recreational and educational trips. The programme also features courses in various fields, including cybersecurity, as well as chanting sessions and training on performing the call to prayer. This helps hone participants' skills and instil Islamic and moral values within an interactive educational environment. The course is part of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs' efforts, represented by the Department of Da'wah and Religious Guidance, to utilise the summer vacation to offer quality programmes aimed at building a generation aware of its religious and moral values, and qualified to perform the duties of imams, preachers, and religious guidance in the future. A number of participating students expressed their satisfaction with the opportunities the course provided to enhance their memorisation and review of the Holy Quran and learn new skills. They praised the ministry's significant role in organising such quality courses during the summer vacation.

PISQ students shine in FBISE SSC annual exam
Tribune News Network Doha In yet another proud moment for Pakistan International School, Qatar (PISQ), its students have once again demonstrated academic excellence in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Annual Examination 2025 conducted by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE), Pakistan. PISQ students achieved top four positions in the SSC-I Examination among all Pakistani schools in Qatar, showcasing the school's continued legacy of outstanding performance. The FBISE officially announced the results of SSC Part-I and Part-II on July 16, 2025. In SSC-II, PISQ students earned a total of 48 'A1' grades, while 31 'A1' grades were recorded in SSC-I. QC launches Quran Literacy Project in Bangladesh
Tribune News Network Doha Qatar Charity (QC) has launched its pioneering Quran Literacy Project in Bangladesh, aimed at empowering children with reading difficulties by equipping them with essential skills to recite, memorise and comprehend the Holy Quran. The project forms part of QC's wider Al-Furqan Quranic Literacy Programme, which not only focuses on Quranic education but also promotes the moral, psychological and social development of its beneficiaries. The initiative is delivered through simplified, engaging, and inclusive educational content, reinforcing QC's commitment to supporting marginalised communities through both spiritual and educational development. The project was inaugurated at two of QC's flagship social welfare centres—Markaz Muhammad Bin Ajaj Al-Kubaisi Center and the Sakhaa Center—with over 600 sponsored children in attendance. The launch ceremony was vibrant and participatory, featuring Quran recitations, theatrical performances, and cultural competitions. These activities reflected the programme's inclusive and celebratory approach to learning, while fostering a sense of community and purpose among participants. Speaking at the event, Dr Mohammad Amin Hafez Omar, Country Director of QC's Bangladesh Branch, said, 'This initiative is more than a literacy campaign—it is a transformative journey. Teaching the Holy Quran is not just about words and rules; it is about building balanced individuals equipped with values, self-respect, and purpose. Through this programme, we enable our beneficiaries to connect with the divine message and open the door to a renewed sense of identity, dignity, and direction in life.' Monzurul Haque, a Quran teacher involved in the project, elaborated on the teaching methodology: 'We begin with foundational Arabic, helping students recognise letters and sounds, then gradually introduce Quranic verses along with their meanings. Our goal is not merely fluency, but deep understanding and spiritual reflection.' The students expressed enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the initiative. Zakaria Dewan shared: 'I feel proud to be part of this programme. Learning the Quran properly has always been a dream for me. Now, I feel like I am doing something that gives me strength and brings me closer to my faith. Khadiza Begum added: 'This project makes me happy. I feel like I am learning something important for my life. It gives me hope that I can understand the Quran like my teachers.' Ataul Islam reflected: 'Learning the Quran in its original language is a dream I never thought possible. It makes me feel connected to my faith and my identity.' It is worth noting that Qatar Charity currently supports 5,082 students in Bangladesh through comprehensive financial assistance, aiming to ensure a brighter and more secure future for them.
