Wrexham nurse wins £114k McLaren in online competition
Maria Angelica Signey, from Wrexham, was left stunned after winning a McLaren 720S through leading dream car competition company BOTB.
The emotional moment came when BOTB presenter Christian Williams turned up at her doorstep to deliver the surprising news - shortly after Maria had returned home from a busy shift.
'I know you!' Maria gasped as she opened the door, instantly recognising Christian from the BOTB videos she'd watched online.
Christian then revealed her jaw-dropping prize, which was parked nearby and is capable of 0-60mph in just 2.8 seconds, powered by a monstrous twin-turbocharged V8 engine.
Maria, a single mum who only passed her driving test last month, was visibly emotional as she saw the car for the first time.
Though she loved the car, Maria plans to take the cash alternative and use the life-changing money to help her son through university and support her family back home.
'This will make such a huge difference to our lives,' she said. 'I will not only be able to support my son's university journey, but I'll also share some of the prize with my family. That means the world to me.'
Christian said: 'Maria was completely overwhelmed – and rightly so! The McLaren 720S is one of the most powerful and luxurious cars out there,' he said.
'To be able to deliver this news to someone who's worked so hard looking after others is incredibly special. The car sounds absolutely insane, but what's even more powerful is the impact this win will have on Maria and her family.'
Leading car competitions company BOTB hands over the keys to a stunning dream car each week, as well as offering lifestyle prizes.

It also offers people the chance to win a holiday, cash, tech, cars and more in its Instant Wins Competition.
Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, BOTB has given away £92.8m-worth of cars so far.
'Back in February, I saw some of the winner videos and thought, 'Why not give it a try?' Now it's a little tradition for me to play each month after payday,' Maria added.

A businessman whose company was scammed out of more than £200,000 has won a £800,000 house in a prize draw he entered for just 99p. Ali Mohammed, from Leeds, opened the door to the one-bedroomed flat he now rents to be greeted by two presenters from BOTB, the company that gives away life-changing prizes every week. They told him he'd won the £800,000 house and a visibly bewildered Ali confessed he had a "feeling" he should buy a 99p ticket when he saw the draw advertised on Tik Tok. "I just thought, 'let me get some', and I bought 50 actually." "We've been scammed, with my company, so we lost a lot. We lost over £200k on scams. So it is life-changing. It's shocking." The total value of the two prizes is close to £850,000 | BOTB Ali's prize is a four-bedroomed new-build in leafy Surrey worth £799,950, and he also won a bonus prize alongside the house, a Mercedes AMG C63S Convertible worth £48,500 - which just happens to be his dream car. As he drove to Surrey from Leeds to see his house the following day, he told the BOTB team: "From a rented house, to go to your own house, that's life-changing. That's a future for your family. "I'm still shocked to be honest, I didn't sleep last night, I was just thinking about it. Is it real, or is it just a dream? It's just unbelievable." And as he clapped eyes on his new car, and shook a bottle of Champagne he told presenter Christian Williams: "I'm a rich man now." Ali says his win will secure a future for his family | BOTB While touring his new house, Ali let Christian know that when he'd knocked on his door to surprise him he was on the phone to an estate agent, discussing buying a property. "Who's going to believe that"? He chuckled. "I was on the phone and heard the knock knock, and when I saw you I was like, is it real? I went inside, scratched myself, and thought, is he really here? Is it really happening?" Ali now has the choice of moving into the house with his family, selling it to pocket the life-changing sum, or he could rent it to give himself a handsome monthly income. BOTB also offers winners a cash alternative, which in Ali's case would be up to £610,000. The company, which specialises in giving away dream cars, is currently offering the chance to win another dream home, this time in Chichester, and the tickets are still just 99p. A taxi driver who was left shaken after an attempted car theft has had his fortunes reversed in the most dramatic way — by winning a luxury Range Rover worth £138,555 and a suitcase packed with £50,000 cash. Karwan Ahmed was at home when he heard a knock at the door. Through the letterbox came a voice: 'Delivery for K Ahmed.' But what was waiting outside wasn't a parcel — it was Christian Williams from BOTB, the dream car competition firm that's made a name out of surprising lucky winners. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad 'I've got a bit of a surprise for you,' said Christian as he led Karwan up the street. What Karwan didn't yet know was that his life was about to change. BOTB presenter Christian Williams presented Karwan with the car and the cash | BOTB Around the corner sat a gleaming black Range Rover P550e Autobiography — a £138k plug-in hybrid powerhouse complete with top-of-the-range luxury fittings. 'I can't believe it,' Karwan said. 'I'm shaking.' And he really was — the sheer shock of the moment left him unsteady on his feet. But that was just the beginning. As Christian popped open the boot, he revealed a suitcase containing a cool £50,000 in cash. The total was just shy of £200,000 — all from a £4.10 competition ticket. 'This has changed my life,' Karwan said, trying to stay composed. 'Thank you so much.' Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad Karwan plans to take his wife on holiday with the cash | BOTB The prize couldn't have come at a better time. Karwan had recently seen his taxi — his main source of income — targeted by thieves. 'They smashed a window trying to steal the car,' he explained. 'I called the police, but they couldn't find anyone.' 'Sorry to hear that,' said Christian, 'but hopefully this is some good news to balance it out.' Karwan now has the option to take a cash alternative worth more than £100,000 if he prefers. When asked what he'd do with the money, he said he'd consider putting it towards a mortgage and treating his wife to a holiday in Turkey — a dream destination for them both.
