New York Post17-05-2025

Celebrity row was legendary at the Garden during Game 6 of the Knicks-Celtics Eastern Conference semifinals series on Friday, with the Knicks having a second chance to close out the series.
Knicks superfans Spike Lee, Timothée Chalamet, Ben Stiller and Tracy Morgan sat courtside, in addition to the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Jason Sudeikis, Bad Bunny and Giants quarterback Russell Wilson.
Celebrity row is the hottest seat in town, especially during the NBA playoffs — and tickets aren't available for purchase because it's invite only.

'It's the biggest names in the front row,' an insider familiar with obtaining celebrity row seats for their clients told The Post.
'B-list tends to be harder,' the source said.
Cardi B and Stefon Diggs attended Game 4 at MSG, where they appeared to hard launch their relationship with some PDA in their courtside seats.
Chalamet and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, and her sister, supermodel Kendall Jenner, were also there.

Former Knicks PR chief and media consultant Joe Favorito told The Post if you don't bleed blue and orange, you're not getting onto celebrity row — no matter how famous you are.
'In Boston, Dana White was sitting with a Celtics jersey — you wouldn't see him in Celebrity Row,' Favorito said. 'You can be sitting other places if you're rooting for the opposing team, but it's not like you're going to get access if you're not wearing orange and blue.'

Scouting a potential Boston Celtics draft pick out of Penn State

Scouting a potential Boston Celtics draft pick out of Penn State The Boston Celtics have two picks in the upcoming NBA Draft. They will be selecting with the 28th and 32nd picks. Brad Stevens will likely prioritize players who have spent multiple years at the collegiate level, meaning they're more polished entering the league and have a better chance of earning some minutes off the bench. Following Jayson Tatum's Achilles tendon injury, Boston isn't expected to be a championship contender next season. As such, the Celtics could put some additional focus into the upcoming draft and their overall player development. During a recent episode of the "How 'Bout Them Celtics?" podcast, hosts Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance dove into Yanic Konan Niederhauser, who is expected to be available in Boston's range. The 7-foot big man spent two seasons with the Northern Illinois Huskies before moving to Penn State for the 2024-25 collegiate season. In 29 outings, he averaged 12.9 points, 2.3 blocks and 6.3 rebounds, shooting 61.1% from the field. You can watch the full scouting report by clicking on the embedded video above. Should the Boston Celtics consider trading Jaylen Brown this summer?

Should the Boston Celtics consider trading Jaylen Brown this summer? The Boston Celtics are expected to make some big changes this summer. As currently constructed, the roster is estimated to cost $500 million next season, once luxury taxes are accounted for. As such, it makes sense that Brad Stevens will want to make some changes, especially as the rotation is getting older and the team isn't expected to be a contender next season. Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday and Sam Hauser are seen as the most logical trade candidates for Boston. However, Stevens may need to include Jaylen Brown in the negotiations if he opts to make a bigger change. However, that is unlikely unless a star-level talent is heading to the Celtics in return. Still, Brown's $285 million contract, which will see him earn $53.1 million next season, will ensure that his name is floated in trade rumors. After all, if the Celtics are looking to cut costs, moving Brown is one of the easiest ways to do so, despite the clear downgrade effect that would have on the roster. During a recent episode of "The Greg Hill Show," the concept of trading Brown was discussed. The hosts even dove into a hypothetical move for Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is rumored to potentially be available this summer. Brown's impact and contract status were both factored into the discussion, with the hosts looking at the pros and cons of keeping him around. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The Boston Celtics are entering an interesting offseason with new ownership leading the way. With the offseason coming up quickly, a lot of rumors have been surrounding the team. Even before the Jayson Tatum injury, there were a lot of trade rumors flying around about the Celtics. Boston is expected to look into cost-cutting moves, which could include trading some of their main core players. Among the players who have been mentioned as possible trade candidates are Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Kristaps Porzingis, and even Jaylen Brown. At this point, Holiday has two years and a player option on a third year left on the four-year, $134.4 million deal he signed with the Celtics. There will not be many teams across the NBA interested in taking on that kind of salary. A new update has been given about Holiday amid the trade rumors. According to a report from NBA insider Jake Fischer, Boston is "most definitely listening" to trade offers for Holiday. During the 2024-25 NBA season, Holiday played in 62 games for the Celtics. He averaged 11.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 44.3 percent from the floor overall and knocking down 35.3 percent of his three-point attempts. Those were numbers down from the 2023-24 season. He averaged 12.5 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists in that campaign, shooting 48 percent from the floor and 42.9 percent from three-point distance. Right now, Holiday is 34 years old. He will turn 35 in June. Read more: Celtics Send Epic Jayson Tatum Message on Sunday Despite his contract and age, Holiday could interest the right contender. He can still play high level defense and is capable of scoring the ball. Perhaps he could have a bounce-back season from a shooting perspective next season as well. Expect to continue hearing a lot of rumors surrounding Boston throughout the coming weeks. Holiday is going to be a name that pops up quite often in the rumor mill. Whether the Celtics trade Holiday or another piece, there is a very good chance that the roster will look different next season. Tatum is also likely to miss most of the year, if not all of it due to the torn Achilles he suffered. For more on the Boston Celtics and general NBA news, head on over to Newsweek Sports.
