Italian Club Fires Coach for Not Playing President's Son – Then Reinstates Him the Next Day - Jordan News
Italian club Ternana has sacked and reinstated coach Ignazio Abate within 24 hours , following a dispute over his refusal to field the club president's son in a recent match. اضافة اعلان
Despite Ternana's impressive season in Italy's Serie C (third division) —currently sitting second in Group B, just three points behind Entella , with 15 wins, 8 draws, and only 2 losses —the club's president, Stefano D'Alessandro , made the shocking decision to dismiss Abate.
Reports suggest that D'Alessandro was furious after Abate refused to play his 20-year-old son, Mattia , a forward, in their latest league match for tactical and sporting reasons. This disagreement led to Abate's immediate dismissal on Thursday . However, widespread backlash from both fans and players put immense pressure on the club president, forcing him to reverse his decision and reinstate Abate the following day .
Ignazio Abate, a former AC Milan star , had a decorated playing career, winning one Serie A title, two Italian Super Cups , and finishing runner-up at Euro 2012 with the Italian national team.

Carlo Ancelotti on a mission to make Brazil champions again
Ammon News - Carlo Ancelotti was unveiled on Monday as the new coach of the Brazil national team, with the mission of pulling them back from a difficult period in order to prepare for the 2026 World Cup, as they seek to become six-time world champions. The former Real Madrid coach will make his debut in the World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay in June and has already selected his first squad for those matches. "I'm honoured and proud to lead the best team in the world. I have a big job ahead of me," the 65-year-old Italian told a press conference at the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) headquarters. "I'm delighted, the challenge is great. I've always had a special connection with this team... We're going to work to make Brazil champions again," he added. Ancelotti, who was welcomed by former Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari, took over from Dorival Junior, who was sacked at the end of March following a 4–1 defeat by Argentina, a humiliating loss that was the latest in a series of poor results. Brazil sit in fourth place in the South American World Cup qualifiers, with the top six teams earning direct qualification. The team's struggles began over two years ago when they were knocked out of the 2022 World Cup by Croatia on penalties in the quarter-finals. They have since lost five of their last 14 games, conceding 16 goals. "These two matches are very important. I have tried to bring in players who are ready and prepared to help the team win," Ancelotti said, confident that he could meet the public's expectations. "People want me to do a good job and win the World Cup again. Because of what I have done in the past, they expect me to win the trophy, but I hope they will support the team because that is very important to have the support of the country," he added. Alonso succeeds Ancelotti as Real Madrid manager
Ammon News - Real Madrid have appointed their former midfielder Xabi Alonso as manager on a three-year deal. Alonso, who made 236 appearances for Real Madrid as a player, announced earlier this month that he would leave his role as Bayer Leverkusen boss at the end of the season. Former Liverpool and Spain midfielder Alonso, who has signed a deal running until 30 June 2028, succeeds Carlo Ancelotti. The Italian took charge of his final game for the Spanish giants on Saturday, and will now become coach of Brazil. Alonso, who won the Champions League as a player at Real in 2014, will be introduced as manager at Real Madrid's training ground on Monday and will be in charge for the Club World Cup, with his first game against Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal on 18 June. Earlier this month Ancelotti called Alonso "one of the best in the world". The 43-year-old led Leverkusen to their first ever Bundesliga title - secured without losing a game - as well as the German Cup in his first full season as a senior club manager during the 2023-24 campaign. But Leverkusen failed to retain their Bundesliga this season, finishing second behind Bayern Munich.
