Gaza Health Ministry: Catastrophic Famine Deadly Massacres Near 'Death Trap' Aid Centers

Saba Yemena day ago
Gaza - Saba:
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has warned of a catastrophic famine and deadly massacres near American aid distribution centers—described as "death traps"—threatening the lives of thousands in the besieged Strip.
In a press statement on Saturday received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Ministry confirmed that Gaza is currently experiencing a real famine, marked by severe shortages of basic food supplies, widespread acute malnutrition, and a total lack of medical capacity to treat the consequences.
The Ministry reported a noticeable rise in deaths resulting from hunger and malnutrition. It added that Nasser Medical Complex received 32 bodies and dozens of injured individuals since dawn today, following an Israeli massacre targeting civilians at U.S. aid distribution sites in southern Gaza.
The Ministry warned of an unprecedented health and humanitarian disaster if the current international silence continues.
It called on the international community, United Nations agencies, and human rights organizations to take immediate and effective action to stop the ongoing massacres and to open humanitarian corridors for the safe and regular delivery of food, medicine, and fuel.

Palestinian Child Dies from Malnutrition in Gaza

Gaza - Saba: A Palestinian child from Gaza died on Sunday due to complications from malnutrition and hunger caused by the Israeli blockade and the ongoing war on the Strip. According to Sanad News Agency, a medical source at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported the death of four-year-old Razan Abu Zahir due to complications of malnutrition and hunger. The child's mother said that Razan suffered from hydrocephalus and had undergone surgery before the war, after which her condition improved. However, due to the lack of medicine and widespread hunger in the Gaza Strip, her condition deteriorated significantly, and she experienced severe weight loss. She had required special treatment and care. With this case, the number of children who have died due to malnutrition rises to 72, while the total number of deaths due to lack of food and medicine has reached 620, according to official government data.
