The Summer I Turned Pretty fans 'work out' S3 ending after spotting Easter Egg
WARNING: This article contains spoilers for The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3.
The Summer I Turned Pretty fans are convinced they've uncovered a hidden clue hinting at Belly's endgame. Drawing from Jenny Han's cherished book series, the teen drama has launched into its third and concluding series.
This chapter centres on protagonist Belly Conklin's (Lola Tung) choice between remaining with current partner Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno) or pursuing lingering emotions for his sibling Conrad (Christopher Briney).
The opening two episodes are currently available on Prime Video, with subsequent instalments scheduled for Wednesday releases.
Following the debut episodes, audiences have highlighted striking similarities between the teenage series and beloved comedy Friends, sparking speculation about potential character developments.
During the opening episode, Belly uncovers Jeremiah cheated on her during Spring Break, whilst their relationship was experiencing difficulties. Upon this revelation, she confronts her partner demanding answers, reports the Mirror US.
"I didn't mean for this to happen, it was a mistake," Jeremiah protested. Belly then retorted: "A mistake?
"Like what you tripped and you fell on top of her naked?" Jeremiah explained: "It happened when we were on a break. When we were broken up."
Viewers have noticed that the dramatic scene bears a striking resemblance to the infamous break up between Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) and Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) in the beloved sitcom. During their relationship hiatus, Ross ends up sleeping with someone else, leaving Rachel absolutely furious when she discovers the truth.
When challenged about his actions, Ross protested: "It was a mistake, I made a mistake!" Rachel's incredulous response was: "A mistake?"
"What were you trying to put it in, her purse?" Ross eventually justifies his behaviour by declaring: "I though we were broken up."
Jeremiah's desperate apology to Belly eerily echoes Ross's emotional plea to Rachel. Both characters are shown on their knees before their partners, desperately seeking forgiveness.
Fans were swift to spot the parallels, with one TikTok user commenting: "As soon as he said 'we were on a break' I was like what is this Friends?"
Another quipped: "Welcome back Ross Geller," while a third observed: "The fact that Belly's and Rachel's lines are almost identical."
Some viewers have theorised that this seemingly deliberate nod could be foreshadowing Belly and Jeremiah ending up together at the end of season three, mirroring how Ross and Rachel ultimately reconcile in Friends.
One fan noted: "Only difference [is] Rachel walked away and Belly is getting married," prompting another to point out: "I mean Rachel still ended up with Ross and his baby..."
Other social media users concurred, speculating that Belly and Jeremiah might reconcile and possibly start a family. After the second episode, which depicts Jeremiah proposing to Belly, this theory could hold some weight.
However, viewers will have to patiently wait for the upcoming episodes to see where this dramatic love triangle is headed.

The 3 beach hacks every mum needs this summer & how to keep your belongings safe when heading into the pool
SUMMER is officially here, and for mums, that often means navigating the beautiful chaos of beach days - juggling bags, snacks, sun cream, and eager little ones ready to splash. While a day by the sea is pure joy, keeping essentials safe and hassle-free can be a real challenge, especially when you're trying to take a refreshing dip. 3 3 But one brilliant mum has shared some game-changing beach hacks that every parent needs this summer. Ollie, known as @ on TikTok, recently went viral with a video simply captioned: "Beach hacks every mum needs this summer!" She kicks off her genius tips by tackling that universal parent struggle: applying sun cream to a child's face without it stinging their eyes. Her solution? Give your child two spoons and have them cover their eyes with them while you spray on the sun cream. Simple, yet incredibly effective - no more tears from stinging eyes. Next, Ollie revealed a clever trick for securing your belongings. Tired of sandals going astray? She demonstrated how to use a plastic cable tie, looping it through her flip-flops and then securely fastening them to the sunbed. She applied the same smart thinking to her sunglasses, placing them safely in their case before using another cable tie to attach the case firmly to the back of the sunbed. The video has gained 206.1k views and 19 comments after two days of being shared. One wrote: 'Awesome summer hacks for the pool.' Stacey Solomon shows off hack she swears by to make packing for holiday much easier - & you can nab it from Ikea for £6 Airport costs If you're planning to drop someone off at a UK airport this summer, prepare for a shock. New research from the RAC reveals that airport drop-off charges have surged by up to 33% in the past year, with over half of UK airports either raising or introducing these fees. This stands in stark contrast to most major EU airports, where dropping off passengers close to the terminal remains completely free. Since last summer, eleven out of 20 UK airports analysed by the RAC have increased their "kiss and fly" charges - the fees levied for the most convenient drop-off spots. 3 For instance, Belfast City, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Gatwick, Heathrow, Liverpool John Lennon, Newcastle, and Southampton all saw their fees jump by £1. Leeds Bradford and Glasgow added 50p to their charges. The changes aren't just about increases either; some airports have introduced new fees entirely. Cardiff, which previously had no charge, now levies a £3 fee, while Luton, which had no "kiss and fly" area last summer due to a car park fire, now charges £5. London City remains the sole UK airport in the analysis that still offers free drop-offs directly outside its terminal. While prices were frozen at Aberdeen, Belfast International, Bournemouth, East Midlands, Manchester, and Stansted, the overall trend paints a clear picture. The RAC's findings highlight a significant difference compared to Europe, where eight of the 10 busiest EU airports, including major hubs like Paris Charles de Gaulle, Frankfurt, and Madrid, charge nothing for drop-offs. This means a quick goodbye at many UK airports now comes with a much higher price tag. Holiday packing tips Jemma Solomon, aka The Label Lady has got 5 packing tips to help you get organised for your next holiday. 1. Write a list Think about all the essentials you need to take with you; suncream, medicine, a few games for the kids, beach towels, and write everything in one list, which you can tick off as you add it to your suitcase. Or for complete ease, try Google's AI app - Gemini - which will create a list for you and help you not over pack. 2. Involve your kids Jemma said: 'My girls are getting older, they're 11 and nine, and they enjoy helping to pack. So I send them a list, and say 'this is what you need' and they follow the list. 'And then I give them a rucksack each - and say to them 'you can have whatever you want in there as long as it's not liquid', and they can take that on the plane. And that's their 'home away from home' items.' 3. Try a hack or two She said: "I think they all work, but for different reasons - and you've just got to pick the right one for your trip. "Rolling your clothes is really good to stop your clothes from getting creases. And if you're trying to get a lot of items into your case, it's a space saver. 'Packing cubes are great - for example, I'm going on holiday with my three kids and we're all using the same suitcase for our clothes. "These handy compartments let you separate your clothes, toiletries and tech into designated cubes, maximising luggage space by keeping your items compressed and neatly stacked. "I love taking them abroad with the family and it means my kids can easily take charge of their own items once we've arrived." 4. Decant beauty products Do you really need to take full-size bottles of shampoo and conditioner with you? The beauty industry has evolved so much, you can now buy shampoo bars or sheets - which are much lighter and smaller. Or, if you'll be popping to the shops when you're abroad, consider buying some items when you arrive. 5. Get organised before you come home Jemma said: 'When you repack on holiday [before coming home], the trick is to separate clean from dirty clothes. 'Also pack it in some form of order - so lights, darks, colours for items that need washing, or if you wash your clothes by person in the household, piles for each person. "Then you can put it straight into the washing machine. Do it straight away, don't leave it."

Matt Fitzpatrick defies his wife at The Open as he sets the record straight
Matt Fitzpatrick has emerged as a leading contender at The Open Championship but has refused to take his wife's advice so far during the tournament at Royal Portrush Matt Fitzpatrick has refused to use the golf balls that his wife marked for him ahead of The Open. The 30-year-old found himself second on the leaderboard on nine-under-par, one shot behind leader Scottie Scheffler, at the halfway point of the tournament. The English golfer is targeting his second major title after winning the US Open in 2022. Fitzpatrick carded four under on Thursday before improving with a five under on day two, putting him in firm contention for The Open title. While his focus will be on overtaking Scheffler, the attention during his post-round press conference was diverted to a video Fitzpatrick's wife Katherine had posted on social media. When asked by reporters, he quickly denied that he had used balls marked up by his wife for the major. In a TikTok clip, Fitzpatrick's wife showed herself writing personalised messages on golf balls for her husband. He shut down the suggestion that his partner regularly marked balls for him. 'She does not mark my golf balls,' Fitzpatrick replied. 'She does not, no, and I would not let her, no.' When asked if he had used the balls shown in his wife's video during The Open, Fitzpatrick replied: 'I have not, no.' Katherine had filmed herself opening a pack of balls ahead of The Open and scribbling messages for her other half. 'I always mark my husband's golf ball up for every tournament he plays. It's just like a special way for me to get involved,' she said, seemingly tongue-in-cheek as she gave a look off camera and smirked. Displaying the golf balls to camera, her messages included 'MF is cute' and 'I love you'. She added: 'Most of the time I do hearts and stars. Sometimes, if it's more of a serious tournament, I'll do fish.' However, Fitzpatrick's father Russell interrupted his daughter-in-law's story. 'What are you on about,' he quipped as he questioned Katherine's claims. 'No, I know you don't do that because I get all the second-hand balls and none of them look like that,' he laughed. 'All the golfers also know he don't mark them like that.' An undeterred Katherine continued: 'Well, anyway, I'm still going to give you a pack of special golf balls, Matt. You don't have to use them, but they're packed and sealed with love.' Matt and Katherine Fitzpatrick were first known to be dating in January 2023. The couple tied the knot in October 2024. Following another impressive round at Royal Portrush on Friday, Fitzpatrick suggested there was less pressure on him than Scheffler . The American is world No.1 and chasing his fourth major victory, having triumphed at the PGA Championship earlier this year. 'He's going to have the expectation to go out and dominate. I wouldn't say I necessarily feel as much pressure,' Fitzpatrick said. 'He's an exceptional player. He's world number one and we're seeing Tiger-like stuff. 'I think the pressure is for him to win the golf tournament. For me, I hope I'm going to have some more home support than him, but it's an exciting position for me to be in given where I was earlier this year.'
