Liverpool forward on the brink of agreeing transfer move
It's the German giants Bayern Munich who have displayed the most interest in Diaz so far and they're intent on getting their man, despite the high €100m asking price that Liverpool have put on him.
We didn't know if Liverpool would consider budging on their demands, since the stance that club has shown so far has been one of 'he's not for sale', but the latest reports claims there's been movement.
According to Nicolo Schira, who posted an update on X: "Luis Diaz is getting closer to Bayern Munich from Liverpool for €75m. Agreement in principle with the winger for a contract until 2030."
That figure would equate to around £65m which is £16m profit on the £49m Liverpool paid in 2022.

Packers QB Jordan Love wants to make more off-schedule plays in 2025
Healthy again, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love wants to be a more creative playmaker on off-schedule plays in 2025. Love told Kevin Clark of ESPN that accuracy is a big emphasis coming out of the 2024 season, but he also wants to do more off-schedule playmaking now that his knee and groin injuries are healed. 'Create more plays, and make more off-schedule plays and use my legs more when things break down,' Love said. Love injured his knee in Week 1 and missed two games, and later injured his groin in late October. The two leg injuries limited his ability to break contain of the pocket and find plays outside of structure — a big part of his game as an athletic, big-play-hunting passer. 'I wasn't creating as many off schedule plays last season,' Love said. 'Obviously I was dealing with some injuries and different things like that, but I think that's a big part of my game that I got to get back into.' Love said he is 'pushing at practice' to emphasize creating the off-schedule plays. The reps during training camp are important to develop muscle memory and chemistry for himself and his receivers. At many practices this summer, Love has scrambled or found completions outside the pocket on extended plays. A quarterback who can make plays off schedule can help mitigate the impact of pressure and turn empty plays into positive ones. While Love was terrific at avoiding sacks last season, his mobility — and possibly his accuracy too — was affected by the injuries. The 2025 season is a fresh start, and Love wants to take a step forward. 'It's just taking that next step, continuing to keep growing myself and finding ways to get better and keep improving on things,' Love said. 'A big focus for me is just the consistency. Trying to be the best player I can be every play with my footwork and accuracy…just build the little things and keep stacking.' You can hear more from Love with Clark below: This article originally appeared on Packers Wire: Packers QB Jordan Love wants to make more off-schedule plays in 2025

Sky: Newcastle agree personal terms with Milan defender Thiaw
Newcastle United have agreed personal terms with Milan defender Malick Thiaw, amid rumours the German centre-back could be leaving the Rossoneri this summer. According to what has been reported by Sky journalist Patrick Berger on X, Newcastle have agreed terms on a four-year-deal with the former Schalke man, whilst Bayer Leverkusen also remain keen on the defender. MADRID, SPAIN – NOVEMBER 05: Malick Thiaw of AC Milan controls the ball during the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD4 match between Real Madrid C.F. and AC Milan at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on November 05, 2024 in Madrid, Spain. (Photo by) However, Berger suggests Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri does not want the player to leave this summer, as he sees a potential future for the German in a 3-man defence. What next for Thiaw amid Newcastle interest? At the start of the summer, it looked apparent that Thiaw was on the transfer list for Milan. However, Allegri has reportedly been convinced by the 23-year-old in pre-season so far and having additional options at centre-back may be vital for the way the former Juventus coach wishes to run things in Lombardy. MILAN, ITALY – FEBRUARY 18: Zepiqueno Redmond of Feyenoord is challenged by Malick Thiaw of AC Milan during the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Knockout Play-off second leg match between AC Milan and Feyenoord at San Siro Stadium on February 18, 2025 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) Newcastle reportedly made a €30 million offer for Thiaw and talks between the two clubs continue but the Rossoneri are in a position to demand a large fee for the defender.

Report – Inter Milan Receive Double Injury Boost As Poland & Belgium Stars Resume Full Training
Piotr Zielinski and Yann Bisseck have reportedly joined the Inter Milan pre-season training camp after recovering from injuries. According to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, both players have resumed full training. Recurring injuries and a lack of match fitness plagued the Polish midfielder's first season at San Siro. Furthermore, he was out of the Inter squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup with a calf injury. However, he is finally back in training. Bisseck & Zielinski Hand Inter Milan Double Fitness Boost MILAN, ITALY – NOVEMBER 26: Piotr Zielinski of FC Internazionale looks on during the warm up prior to the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 League Phase MD5 match between FC Internazionale Milano and RB Leipzig at Stadio San Siro on November 26, 2024 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) Like Zielinski, Bisseck is back from injury. Indeed, the German defender sustained a hamstring problem during the Champions League final. Therefore, new manager Cristian Chivu couldn't count on him for the Club World Cup. But he has regained full fitness ahead of Inter's opening pre-season friendly against French giants Monaco. Meanwhile, the San Siro giants are contemplating selling the 24-year-old to the highest bidder. By contrast, they have renewed trust in Davide Frattesi. Indeed, the Italian midfielder fits Chivu's new formation perfectly. However, he won't be back until the start of the 2025/26 season.
