Outlander star Nell Hudson reveals childbirth left her 'broken in two' as she shares graphic hospital snap after welcoming a baby girl with Max King

Nell Hudson has spoken out about her traumatic childbirth experience after welcoming her first child with producer husband Max King.
The Outlander star, 34, took to Instagram on Wednesday to reveal she had become a mother, sharing a sweet snap of her baby girl's hand and calling for 'a new word for love' to describe how she felt towards her daughter.
Yet it wasn't all smooth sailing for the star, who admitted giving birth had left her 'broken in two' and shared a snap of her blood-stained hospital bed.
She wrote: 'I can't believe everyone ever was given birth to by a woman and we all just go around like it's normal,
'MOTHERS - I am in awe of all of you. I am broken in two in the best possible way. It's a girl. Need a new word for love.'
Nell's pregnancy had come as a surprise to the couple, with the actress previously revealing that her due date had ended up being the same day she had planned to marry Max.

Speaking to Wedding Edition last month, Nell admitted 'divine intervention' occurred after the couple had settled on July 26 as their wedding date.
She recalled: 'In November, with some surprise but mostly a lot of happiness, I discovered I was pregnant. Max (my now husband) and I showed up at our first antenatal appointment full of nerves, squeezing hands as the midwife calculated how many weeks gone I was.
'"So you're due date is…." she said, squinting at her computer, "Saturday the 26th of July!" We had to laugh. Well, there went the plans for that version of the wedding.
'In the end, it all turned out to be a blessing, and we decided on a much smaller, family-only affair than the original celebrations we had planned.'
Nell and Max, a producer and brother of celebrity hair stylist Larry King, tied the knot last month in a small family ceremony.
The Worcestershire-born actress wore a ruffled white gown with delicate tulle sleeves and a dramatic tiered A-line skirt.
With one hand resting gently on her bump, the bride looked every inch the glowing mum-to-be.
Her husband, Max, stood proudly beside her in a classic black double-breasted suit and silver tie.
Fans and fellow co-stars flocked to the comment section to congratulate the star, with former Call the Midwife co-star Jennifer Kirby joking: 'I was like "wait… people do this ALL THE TIME?! MULTIPLE TIMES??" ❤️ congrats darling x'
She shared snaps on Instagram, captioned: 'First little look at some wedding pics ❤️.
'What can I say that hasn't ever been said it really was the best day ever. More to come soon.'
The couple announced their engagement in March last year while on a romantic getaway in Paris, with a photo of them smiling in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Last month's post included credits for her glam team, with makeup by Devon Windsor (@devonmakeupgirl) and hair styled by her new brother-in-law, of course using luxury clip-in extensions by Tatiana Karelina.
Nell, who found fame as Laoghaire MacKenzie in the hit Starz series Outlander, has also appeared in ITV's Victoria and Channel 4's The Irregulars.
She is the daughter of author Cressida Connolly and stepdaughter of the late journalist A.A. Gill, who died of cancer in 2016.

Inside the mad and dangerous world of Superbikes where 'gladiator' riders dice with death

It's been a weekend of unremitting heat at the UK round of the Superbike World Championship — motorsport which makes F1 look like a sedentary Sunday afternoon drive — and, at the end, the outstanding racer tells me about life and death. Toprak Razgatlioglu is motorcycle racing's most compelling character since Valentino Rossi — riding on the edge just like the Italian, and Barry Sheene decades before him.

Yungblud strips down to a British flag kilt for killer impromptu performance at his London store launch party - after confirming his romance with on-off girlfriend Jesse Jo Stark is back on

Yungblud put on a killer performance during the launch party of his new London store, Beautifully Romanticised Accidently Traumatized, at 20 Denmark Street on Thursday. The rock star, 28, whose real name is Dominic Richard Harrison, went shirtless, wearing only a British flag kilt, as he took to the stage for an impromptu performance to a large crowd of fans. The Doncaster artist played fan favourites including The Funeral and Strawberry Lipstick, as well as the anthemic Zombie, and the raucous Lovesick Lullaby from his recent album Idols - his third consecutive UK No.1. Yungblud appeared in his element, delivering a high-energy set alongside his backup band. Before leaving the stage, he thanked fans, saying: I f*****g love you. Welcome to Denmark Street. He added: 'Keep Denmark Street alive. Keep British f*****g music alive. Keep British music powerful. I love you all so much. Get home safe and I'll see you tomorrow.' The globally recognised artist and industry disruptor launched his central London clothing store and music venue on Thursday. Located at 20 Denmark Street, the venue is designed to bring artistic edge and excitement back to London, nurturing the subculture of a new generation. The ground floor serves as a retail space for the clothing brand, while the lower ground level functions as a multi-purpose event space and social hub, hosting regular poetry nights, live gigs, film screenings, and even tarot readings. Yungblud's event saw Denmark Street - famous as the centre of London's music scene - closed off for a series of fashion presentations, with models posing against classic London backdrops including a red telephone box and a black cab. The venue was inaugurated with an all-day battle of the bands, showcasing emerging London artists. Earlier in the evening, London rapper Master Peace surprised fans with an impromptu set on an outdoor stage at one end of Denmark Street, following performances by fellow London acts Balancing Act and Velvet Hands in the lower ground venue. Earlier in the day, Yungblud showcased his edgy sense of style in a white sleeveless graphic print T-shirt emblazoned with the word 'Glory' as he posed up a storm for cameras at the beginning of the event. He teamed the top with a red tartan mini kilt and vibrant pink socks, finishing the look with black patent lace-up ankle boots. Staying true to his edgy style, Yungblud accessorised with layered gold chains, an oversized pair of black sunglasses, and a cross necklace gifted to him by the late Ozzy Osbourne. The singer was joined by several famous friends, including Nova Twins' Amy Love and Georgia South, and Love Island star Samira Mighty, who turned out to support his latest venture. Earlier this month, Yungblud announced the launch of his London store on X (formerly Twitter), telling fans: 'I'm so excited to announce the opening of my first ever store and fan club. 'Welcome to 'beautifully romanticised accidentally traumatized'. Number 20 Denmark Street in the heart of central London. 'We open on the 7th of August and you're all invited. It's the biggest party I've ever thrown. 'This building is a literal physical space where you can place your hands upon its bricks and belong. 'Here we have built a place to be yourself and find people with similar ideas to you. Whether it be to buy the clothes we make, come for a coffee, buy a beer, watch music, do an art class or just come and play pool you're welcome, all we demand from you is that you spread the love. 'This street, Denmark Street has paved the way for The Best of British music since the 1950s. I grew up on the street. It has always been my dream to have a building here. 'YOU made that dream come true and im eternally in your debt. I'm running this place with my best friends so so please come and support to keep this heart beating.' The store opening comes after the rocker packed on the PDA with his girlfriend Jesse Jo Stark on Tuesday, as they were seen together for the first time since breaking off their relationship. The singer celebrated his 28th birthday this week with a trip to the Amalfi Coast, Italy. He settled into a long-term relationship with Los Angeles-based Jesse, 34, - who is Cher 's god-daughter - but broke off their relationship following a period of intense 'insecurity.' The couple are now very much back on, with Yungblud insisting she's 'the love of his life' and put on a loved-up display while relaxing in the sun. In a far-reaching interview with Paul C. Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, Yungblud revealed Jesse agreed to a temporary separation as he wrestled with the pressures of living life in the spotlight. He said: 'This year has been such a strange thing for me because it's the first time that probably the biggest love of my life, I've taken space from and I've asked for space. 'Last year I was really having problems with myself and it was all a me problem.' 'Her name's Jesse Stark. She's probably the most incredible person I've ever met, and she's my best friend, and I feel so lucky to be in her orbit.' The Doncaster-born star admitted he maintained regular contact with Jesse, the daughter of Richard Stark - founder and CEO of luxury goods brand Chrome Hearts - and god-daughter to pop veteran Cher. He said: 'I got to talk this through with her, and she understood and she needed a moment. 'We talk every Sunday, and I mean, ultimately, I think in my life all roads lead to her because I love her. I never loved anything like I love her. 'I love her as everything. And I love her as if I'd love water. I need it. You know, and I think I'd never experience love like it because when you could be that honest with another human being, even in times when we're not technically together.' At the time, the singer remained hopeful that he would start a family with Jesse once he had worked his way through the emotional issues that ultimately led to their separation. 'I think at this moment in time, I needed to build up a fundamental basis of a personality. I was a shell, so I didn't know what I could love,' he explained. 'I will love that girl until I die, and if that ends up like we, like I would love it for one day to have loads of kids with her and vibe out and do all the like whatever the fairy tale thing is, but if that doesn't happen, that doesn't happen.'
