Interior offensive lineman predicted to commit to Nebraska
Three-star recruit Hayden Ainsworth is predicted to commit to Nebraska's 2026 recruiting class.
Ainsworth, ranked 25th in Mississippi, is also considering several other schools, including Ole Miss, Alabama, and Oklahoma.
Nebraska's 2026 class currently ranks 57th nationally and 18th in the Big Ten.
Ainsworth has upcoming visits scheduled with Florida State, Liberty, and North Carolina.
A Nebraska offensive line recruit has been predicted to commit to the Cornhuskers. Interior offensive lineman Hayden Ainsworth received a prediction from Bryan Munson of On3.
Ainsworth is a three-star recruit. He is currently the 25th overall player in his class from the state of Mississippi, according to the On3 Rankings.
Ole Miss is in his Top Ten. Alabama, North Carolina State, North Carolina, Oklahoma, UNLV, Florida State, Baylor, and Liberty are also under consideration.
Nebraska is looking to make additions to the class of 2026. They currently hold only four commits to a group that currently ranks 57th in the nation and 18th in the Big Ten Conference, according to On3.
Ainsworth has a busy couple of weeks ahead. He will visit Florida State on Monday, followed by Liberty on June 13, and North Carolina on June 17.

Key Alabama football starter injured. Kalen DeBoer provides latest update on lead tailback
With less than two weeks until the season opener at Florida State on Aug. 30, Alabama football will be without a key starter for an indefinite amount of time. Early Sunday, coach Kalen DeBoer confirmed a report from Will Miller of Sports Illustrated that starting tailback Jam Miller had sustained an upper-body injury during the second scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday. "Jam Miller suffered an upper-body injury in Saturday's scrimmage and went in for a procedure on Saturday evening," DeBoer said in a press release. "Jam should recover fully with a timetable for his return yet to be determined." Sports Illustrated's Miller reported late Saturday that the Crimson Tide running back was expected to miss multiple games, including the season opener at Florida State (2:30 p.m. CT, ABC). Miller is Alabama's most experienced running back and was its leading rusher out of the backfield a season ago. The senior from Tyler, Texas, ran for 668 yards and seven touchdowns on 145 carries in 2024. In three years at Alabama, he's rushed for 1,092 yards on 219 carries. Miller had two touchdown runs in Alabama's 34-0 win over Missouri on Oct. 26, and a season-high 140 yards on 15 carries in the Week 2 win over South Florida on Sept. 7. His conference-high in yardage -- 84 yards, 28 carries -- came in Alabama's 28-14 win over Auburn, its fifth straight in the series. Miller also caught 16 passes for 155 yards last season, including a 16-yard catch and run in the first quarter of Alabama's 41-34 victory over Georgia on Sept. 28. With Miller sidelined, Alabama can look to sophomore Richard Young, a former four-star recruit from Florida who's been with the program since 2023. Young had 27 carries for 146 yards (5.4 AVG) and two touchdowns a season ago. The Crimson Tide also have sophomore Daniel Hill, who saw action in six games and went for 61 yards on 21 carries in 2024. Louisiana transfer Dre Washington is another option. Kalen DeBoer updates status of two injured Alabama starting linemen
According to head coach Kalen DeBoer, a pair of starting Alabama Crimson Tide linemen have missed the program's second consecutive scrimmage of fall camp. Those players are offensive guard Jaeden Roberts and defensive tackle James Smith, both of which are dealing with injuries leading up to Alabama's season opener at Florida State on Saturday, Aug. 30, according to DeBoer. DeBoer also recently gave an update on the status of both following the Crimson Tide's scrimmage Saturday, saying of the duo: "Two guys that didn't scrimmage today, Jaeden and James, same as last week," DeBoer said. "James has been working through and building up. Feel good about the progress he's had in the week of practice and with it being live. Needed to hold back there, but he's getting closer by the day." "Jaeden has a concussion, just to tell you what it is, and he's going through the protocol of that and hasn't done anything from a team standpoint. Starting to work back into that protocol, which included being out there today, but not to participate in the scrimmage." A storyline to monitor leading up to Week 1, if Roberts is unavailable for the season opener, then Geno VanDeMark would likely step into the starting role at right guard. If Smith is unavailable, then names such as Jeremiah Beaman and Edric Hill could see increased snaps at defensive tackle. Alabama will open the 2025 season Saturday, Aug. 30 on the road at Florida State.
