Al Ahly part ways with coach Koller after Sundowns semi defeat
The 64-year-old came under fire as the defending champions were stunned by South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns on the away goal rule as they played to a 1-1 second leg draw in Cairo on Friday, after a scoreless stalemate in Pretoria.
Bottles of water were thrown from the stands at the Swiss as he left the pitch after the final whistle.

'Due to the emergency circumstances and in light of the distinguished relationship that has been reflected in numerous previous positions, the club is currently negotiating with the coach to terminate the contract by mutual consent in a manner befitting the club and its coach,' the club said.
Since taking the helm in September 2022, when he replaced South African Pitso Mosimane, the former FC Basel and FC Köln coach steered Al Ahly to several trophies, including two Champions League titles.
In Friday's other semifinal second leg, also between a South African and Egyptian club, Pyramids FC beat Orlando Pirates 3-2 at June 30 Air Defence Stadium in Cairo to progress by the same scoreline on aggregate.
The final will be played at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on May 24, with the second leg at June 30 Stadium on June 1.

Springboks get New Zealand referee for Cape Town Test
The Springboks will have another New Zealand referee in charge for their second 2025 Rugby Championship Test against Australia in Cape Town on Saturday, 23 August. The clash at the Cape Town Stadium will kick off at 17:10. After Kiwi Ben O'Keeffe took charge of the opening clash against the Wallabies at Ellis Park in Johannesburg this weekend, James Doleman will be the man with the whistle in the Mother City. He will be assisted by O'Keeffe and Italy's Gianluca Gnecchi. Australia's Richard Kelly will be the TMO, while France's Tual Trainini will be the Foul Play Review Officer (FPRO). In a competition where the away goal carries significant weight, the temptation would be to see the Brazilians as holding the upper hand. It could well have been that the Portuguese coach was stung by the manner in which his team allowed Pirates back into the game late on, with a defensive mistake that saw Kamogelo Sebelele cancel out Teboho Mokoena's headed opener. A clean sheet would have left him more confident ahead of Saturday's second-leg tie at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, though he knows Pirates always have a goal in them. Deep in the bowels of Orlando Stadium, as the thousands who had packed the historic arena made their way home content with the scoreline and entertained by the football on display, Cardoso himself appeared a satisfied man. 'This is a draw and it does not feel like a loss,' Cardoso said in response to a question about conceding so late. 'We would have liked to take the victory home, but if you ask any coach if he could take a 1-1 from here, he'd be okay. We are halfway.
