Channel Nine 'overthrown' by MAFS cast as they defy all rules: 'Mutiny'
An inside source tells us that the show's production company EndemolShine Australia and Channel Nine are 'desperately' attempting to silence the cast after they united to rebel against them. Not only have the brides and grooms been spoiling their storylines on the show, but they've also launched second Instagram accounts to call out their 'edit'.

In the last week, Morena Farina has debunked every scene of hers on social media by revealing what was edited out and manipulated. Jacqui Burfoot has also shared lengthy posts speaking out against production and defending her character, and Adrian Araouzou is openly mocking his storylines through his twin brother's TikTok account.
Meanwhile, Eliot Donnelly and Jake Luik have found themselves in hot water for doing unauthorised interviews, and Tim Gromie is simply refusing to respond to the network in any capacity. The controversial groom has reportedly ignored all phone calls and even went as far as failing to show up to the casts' press days and scheduled promotional photoshoots.
According to our insider, the 2025 cast members began rebelling halfway through filming after realising 'they're the ones with the power' because there's no show without them.
'EndemolShine introduced an 8pm curfew in early September and many of them started chatting amongst themselves and realised they dictate the rules – not producers,' the source shares. 'They were already individually starting to tire of all the rules and being treated like children, then one weekend there was an incident that led to them pretty much starting a mutiny.
'Since then, things have just gone to the next level and now they've realised they hold all the cards and if they want to speak out, they will. There's a real sense amongst so many of them that they owe the network nothing and won't allow their reputations to be determined by what they believe are inaccurate representations.'
Yahoo Lifestyle also understands that publicists at Nine and bosses at EndemolShine are 'desperately attempting' to bring back some order, but it's almost like they've 'been overpowered' for the first time in the show's history.
In previous seasons, Nine would restrict a participant's media opportunities and press interviews to 'get them back in line,' but that tactic is no longer effective.
'It appears the cast members have realised that once the season ends, they're essentially disposable to the network and there are no golden tickets or future TV work and opportunities awaiting them like it's often hinted at,' the source adds.
Adrian Araouzou has seemingly confirmed he's no longer with his bride Awhina Rutene after he was spotted 'holding hands' with a mystery woman in Sydney's CBD last month. It's also been revealed that he was involved in a 'cheating scandal' with Sierah Swepstone during filming which ended her relationship with her partner Billy Belcher.
Meanwhile, Morena Farina recently confirmed things don't work out with Tony Mojanovski following a bombshell confession that was edited out of the first commitment ceremony.

Viewers will have to wait and see whether Jamie Marinos and Dave Thomas, Carina Mirabile and Paul Antoine, and Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels are still together, however, things are currently looking promising for all three couples on the show.

American Eagle Scores Big Win Amid Sydney Sweeney Ad Backlash
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. American Eagle's Instagram followers have skyrocketed following its ad campaign with actress Sydney Sweeney. Newsweek reached out to an American Eagle spokesperson via email for comment. Why It Matters American Eagle sparked a firestorm online late last month when the clothing company released a commercial featuring Sweeney, an actress known for her roles on Euphoria and The White Lotus. "Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color," she says in the denim ad. "My jeans are blue." In response to the line, critics argued the wordplay with "genes" had "white supremacy" undertones. Others pushed back against the claims, however, saying that it was just clever marketing. On August 1, American Eagle defended their campaign in a statement posted to social media: "'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' is and always was about the jeans. Her jeans. Her story. We'll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone." CLARY/AFP via Getty Images What To Know Following Sweeney's July 23 commercial, American Eagle has seen a significant surge in social media engagement. According to the analytics website Social Blade, the brand has picked up more than 142,700 followers on Instagram in the last 30 days, most of which were in the days and weeks after the ad was released. On August 1, the same day American Eagle released a statement, it racked up 18,300 followers. The next day, it garnered an additional 25,969 followers, and on August 3, 15,492 people clicked the follow button. In comparison, the company lost 157 followers on July 13 and lost 152 followers on July 14. At the time of publication, American Eagle has 3.8 million Instagram followers. The news comes amid American Eagle's stock boost after President Donald Trump complimented the brand. Upon learning Sweeney is a registered Republican in Florida, he told reporters: "I love her ad!" In a separate message posted to Truth Social, he said Sweeney "has the 'HOTTEST' ad out there" and "the jeans are 'flying off the shelves.'" On Tuesday, The New York Times reported that American Eagle's stock rose by more than 23 percent after Trump's comments. What People Are Saying Sweeney's brother, Trent Sweeney, posted a certificate of his promotion to staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force on Instagram and said: "It's them good jeans." Robin Landa, an advertising expert and professor at Michael Graves College at Kean University, previously told Newsweek: "The campaign's pun isn't just tone-deaf—it's historically loaded." Political commentator Megyn Kelly said on her show: "We're sick and f****** tired of the nonsense, where you are not allowed to ever celebrate someone who is white and blonde and blue-eyed. That we have to walk into a room apologetic for those things, or have for the past five years. In a way, this ad is the final declaration that we're done doing that s***. It doesn't mean we're better, but you know what? We're no worse than any other race or any other hair color or eye color." What Happens Next Sweeney's new film Americana, which also stars Paul Walter Hauser, Halsey, Simon Rex, Eric Dane and more, hits theaters on Friday, August 15.

Sophie Turner Responds to Mommy Shamer on Instagram
After years of criticism in the press, Sophie Turner isn't afraid to stand up for herself. Last week, Sophie called out a mommy shamer in her Instagram comments, defending herself from yet another unwarranted attack on her parenting. This all began on Aug. 4, when Sophie shared a carousel on Instagram of herself and friends enjoying a night out at an Oasis concert. 'Bucket hats & beers... That'll do me. Thank you @levis,' she captioned the post. Pretty harmless stuff, unless you're a troll looking for clout. One such troll decided to take to the comments, writing, 'lmfao I think she has forgotten that she has two kids.' If that sounds like a weird thing to assume based on one photo dump from an Oasis concert, that's because it is. And Sophie, who is mom to Willa, 5, and Delphine, 3, with her ex Joe Jonas, wasn't about to let it slide. 'Ah, I'm so sorry, sometimes I forget some people can't think for themselves,' she wrote in response. 'So... Get this... There's this crazy thing called shared custody. Maybe, just maybe, they were with their dad that day.' Sophie is no stranger to this line of criticism. After she and Joe announced their split in 2023, she was painted as an absent mother to their two young girls. Tabloids accused her of being a bad mother while Joe was photographed having lunch with their kids. 'Those were the worst few days of my life,' Sophie later told British Vogue, explaining that, at the time, she was on set in the UK filming Joan and unable to return to the states to see her girls. 'It hurt because I really do completely torture myself over every move I make as a mother—mum guilt is so real!' After a contentious custody battle, Sophie and Joe were able to work out a joint custody agreement, and the two appear to be on good terms.

Fans Think Taylor Swift Will Announce TS12 on New Heights Podcast
Fans think TS12 is on its to make matters more exciting, it seems like Taylor Swift might spill the deets about a new album on the August 13 episode of Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast. Rumors first started swirling on August 11, when Taylor Nation dropped a 12-photo carousel on Instagram showing off an array of orange Eras Tour looks. 'Thinking about when she said 'See you next era…'' the caption read, echoing the pop star's final words from the tour. 12 minutes earlier (per Taylor Swift Updates on X), the New Heights Instagram account shared a post teasing a ~very special guest~ for this Wednesday's episode, and fans were quick to notice the sparkly orange background (as well as the fact that Jason Kelce is wearing what appears to be an Eras Tour shirt). '92%ers, we're coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest,' reads the caption. I evidence is pretty compelling. TS12 would mark Taylor's first release since she dropped The Tortured Poets Department in April 2024, and fans think this orange-hued era will be all about her romance with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. For that reason, an announcement on his podcast (on the 13th, no less!!) would be very fitting. Let's not forget that Travis has been dropping hints about TS12 for months now. During a January 13 appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, he even let it slip that he'd already heard Taylor's new music. Also! Back in December, Us Weekly reported that Tay was considering getting to 'work on a new album' and was talking 'about hitting the road again—albeit on a smaller scale than the Eras Tour—in 2026.' As the insider claimed, 'She had such a great experience on Eras. She really wants to do it again. She loves being with all her fans—it inspires her. Things can change. A lot of it hinges on what happens over the next year with Travis. She's told her team to give her one year to see how things go in her personal life.' It's unclear when TS12 will be released, but I do know that I'll be tuning into this Wednesday's New Heights episode to get more details!!
