Now back on the rise in both the latest AP and USA TODAY Sports' Women's Basketball Coaches Poll's earlier this week, the Alabama Crimson Tide are set to return to action Thursday night for a SEC rivalry showdown in Knoxville against the Tennessee Lady Volunteers.
A pair of Top 25 teams, both of Alabama (No. 19 in Coaches Poll) and Tennessee (No. 13 in Coaches Poll) come into this SEC matchup on impressive recent stretches in their own rights.
For Alabama, the Crimson Tide have won four-straight entering Thursday night, and will need a win here sitting only 3.5 games back of first place in the SEC standings. However, it will not be easy in by any means, as Alabama has only won in Knoxville one time ever, but have had success against Tennessee in recent years after having struggled historically.
As for the Lady Volunteers, Tennessee has won two-straight entering this game, and are currently 5.5 games back of first place in the SEC standings at 6-6 in conference, while also 19-6 overall.
