Since the premiere of 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' on Netflix, the demon idol group, The Saja Boys, has taken the world by storm. With their good looks and devilish charm, fans of K-pop idols have begun to imagine their biases as the Saja members, and this idol literally took the fan service to life.
Former MONSTA X member, WONHO (원호), posted a cover of 'Soda Pop' and 'Your Idol' by The Saja Boys from the hit Netflix film, 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', on YouTube yesterday (9th July 2025). In a true act of proper fan service, the 32-year-old idol also sports pink hair and a black Hanbok, covering the songs as Abby Saja.
The video showcased WONHO in two different outfits, one sporting a Hawaiian shirt, yellow beanie and jeans and the other in a black Hanbok, seemingly creating an accurate depiction of Abby Saja from the film. The main highlights of the cover featured WONHO's sweet vocals in the backdrop of his energetic choreography as well as his recreation of Abby's famous shirt button pop scene.

Twitter user @/moonlightjkooki comments, 'I can't believe I'm saying this, but I prefer the real live deal. He looks so sexy omg'. Twitter user @/Bunniebebe_ comments, 'He's busy preparing for a tour, yet he still manages to hear the fans and did what we asked'.
Recently, the director of 'K-pop Demon Hunters', Maggie Kang, reposted his cover to her Instagram with googly eyes. What do you think about WONHO's cover of The Saja Boys?

YG Entertainment Suspends Fan Gatherings Outside Building Amid Safety Concerns

For years, fans have flocked to the front of the official HYBE building in Hapjeong, Seoul, hoping to catch a glimpse of their favourite K-pop idols. The site quickly became a must-visit for K-pop enthusiasts, it was known for spontaneous sightings, casual meet-and-greets, and fan-organised events. More than just a company headquarters, it came to symbolise a unique connection between artists and fans. As time went on, the area transformed into a cultural touchpoint. Fans from all over the world gathered there, not just to see idols, but to bond with each other. They left handwritten letters, thoughtful gifts, and heartfelt messages. Some simply stood by to soak in the atmosphere. The space offered a shared experience that few other places could replicate. On 6th August (Wednesday), YG Entertainment released an official statement announcing that all face-to-face interactions outside their building would come to an end. The company pointed to growing safety concerns for both artists and fans. Additionally, complaints from nearby residents about noise and overcrowding have been ongoing for years, but the recent surge in attendance has made the situation harder to control. In the statement, the agency thanked fans for their continued support and enthusiasm. However, they emphasised that the safety and well-being of their artists must come first. They also asked fans to avoid lingering outside the building for extended periods and urged everyone to respect the new guidelines moving forward. While HYBE has yet to release an official explanation for the sudden shift in approach, many fans believe it's driven by similar safety concerns. During TREASURE (트레저) member Yoon Jaehyuk's (윤재혁) recent birthday, an overwhelming crowd gathered outside the building. The situation escalated so quickly that police had to step in, highlighting just how intense these gatherings can become. Reactions from fans have been mixed. While some support the change, hoping it will give idols more privacy and reduce potential risks, others feel disappointed that a long-standing ritual has come to an end. Many are frustrated that the behaviour of a few has affected the entire fan base. Regardless of opinion, the decision marks a bittersweet turning point in how fans connect with their favourite artists in real life.
