
Kuwaiti athletes showcase impressive performances in Doha
DOHA, April 10, (KUNA): Kuwaiti athletes showcased impressive performances at the West Asian Clubs Athletics Championship, which is took place in Doha, Qatar.
Haya Al-Tawajar of Al-Fatat Club claimed the gold medal in the 3,000m steeplechase. Aisha Al-Khudher from Salwa Al-Sabah Club won the bronze in the discus throw, setting a new Kuwaiti record with a throw of 40.63m.
Additionally, the 4x100m relay team from Al-Qadsia Club, consisting of Hussein Khamis, Nasser Ismail, Jassim Al-Qenaei, and Abdullah Al-Munais, secured the bronze medal in their event.
Kuwait is represented by four clubs – Al-Qadsia, Kazma, Al-Fatat, and Salwa Al-Sabah – in the championship, which has attracted around 400 athletes from 22 clubs across 11 West Asian countries.
