A PRE-SEASON match between Portsmouth and Crawley Town has been suspended hours before kick-off due to torrential rain.
Pompey had been due to meet the League Two side in Sussex in their latest warm-up game at 3pm on Saturday.

A pitch inspection this morning at Broadfield Stadium deemed the pitch unplayable.
Crawley have confirmed fans who bought tickets in advance will be issued with a refund.
Other pre-season games due to kick-off today are at risk of being called off, with the South East worst effected.
Tottenham are due to travel to face League One outfit Reading at 3pm today.

Meanwhile, Manchester United kick-off their pre-season tour against local rivals Leeds at Elland Road this afternoon.
The Met Office have issued an amber weather warning for thunderstorms covering the south east coast.
It also includes the whole of London and stretches as far as Cambridge.
The Met Office says there is a risk of sudden flooding, travel delays and power cuts.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) has issued 16 flood alerts for mainland Scotland. These areas include Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen City, Argyll and Bute, Ayrshire and Arran, Caithness and Sutherland, Central Scotland, Dumfries and Galloway, Dundee and Angus, Easter Ross and Great Glen, Edinburgh and Lothians, Fife, Findhorn Nairn, Moray and Speyside, Scottish Borders, Skye and Lochaber, Tayside, West Central Scotland, and Wester Ross. An update from SEPA on X read: "Flood Alerts have been issued due to the risk of localised surface water flooding across Scotland. "Heavy rain and thundery downpours over Sunday and Monday could also cause smaller water courses to rise quickly. "Impacts could affect communities and cause disruption to travel networks, particularly if the heaviest rain falls on built-up areas." Another Met Office yellow warning is in place tomorrow from 11am until 9pm. An alert from the national weather service states: "Heavy showers and scattered thunderstorms may cause some localised flooding and transport disruption." Drivers have been warned of spray and sudden flooding leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. There is a "small chance" that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater or lightning strikes. NI weather: Thunder warning in parts of Northern Ireland and showers expected at The Open
A thunderstorm warning is in place for parts of Northern Ireland from Sunday Met Office is forecasting thunderstorms in counties Londonderry, Tyrone and Fermanagh. The warning is in place until 20:00 BST on will be followed by a spell of prolonged and locally heavy rain setting in on Sunday night and continuing into Monday. Rainfall amounts will vary from place to place but in some locations 20-40mm is possible within a couple of downpours of rain will be the primary hazard, but lightning strikes and hail are also possible, the Met Office odd heavy shower is possible at The Open on Sunday but Royal Portrush is outside the warning sudden downpours could lead to localised flooding and difficult travel conditions. A separate warning for heavy rain has been issued for eastern and south-eastern counties, Antrim, Down and Armagh. This alert comes into effect at 18:00 BST on Sunday and is valid for 24 hours, until 18:00 BST on prolonged nature of this rain band, combined with it being heavy at times, could lead to large accumulations of rain falling during this period. There is some uncertainty as to how far west the rain area will to the Met Office: "A band of rain will become heavy and persistent during Sunday night and Monday, most likely across more eastern and south-eastern parts of Northern Ireland. "There remains a good deal of uncertainty as to the east-west position of this rain band, but where it does occur some places could see 50-75 mm in 12-18 hours." Met Éireann warning In the Republic of Ireland, Met Éireann has issued a yellow alert for counties Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Wicklow and Monaghan, valid from 00:00 to 12:00 local time on Monday.

Bolton, 25, has joined League One outfit Mansfield on a two-year contract.
