However, just before her tragic death, Princess Diana revealed a surprising truth to someone close to her, and that moment has finally resurfaced now.
What did Princess Diana reveal shortly before her death?
The marriage of Princess Diana and King Charles has been extensively covered, including the fact that both royals had extramarital affairs while they were together. Princess Diana and Prince Charles had a relationship that was far from romantic from the very start.
Shortly before her death in 1997, Diana actually talked about the person she blamed for her failed marriage to Charles, according to a royal expert who was close to the former Princess of Wales, as per a report by Marie Claire.

Who did she really blame for the marriage breakdown?
Princess Diana reportedly told royal expert Ingrid Seward before her death that
Queen Camilla
was not to blame for the breakdown of her marriage to King Charles.

Instead, she pointed to individuals in King Charles' inner circle. The revelation adds new layers to the long-standing story about their very public royal split.
According to royal expert and author Ingrid Seward, who appeared on Hello!'s "A Right Royal Podcast," "She told me right before she passed away that it wasn't Camilla." "It wasn't Camilla that ruined our marriage, it was the people around Charles," as per a report by Marie Claire.
The royal expert asserted that she was never able to fully figure out what that comment meant. However, she also recalled Diana's father mentioning the complexity of the royal household.
During their marriage, Charles and Diana both openly accepted having extramarital affairs. In his own TV interview, King Charles talked about his adulterous affair with Queen Camilla, while Diana acknowledged her affair with horseback riding instructor James Hewitt in her Panorama interview, as per a report by Marie Claire.
Does King Charles regret how things ended?
Rebecca English, the royal editor of the Daily Mail, interviewed several of King Charles's closest friends earlier this year, and they implied that the king did regret his previous actions.
In the article, English wrote of The King, "Charles still deeply 'regrets' the pain and sadness caused."
Another friend of Charles's talked about The King's marriage to Diana and said it seems cruel to ask someone to give up their happiness for the sake of their public image.
Both of them, King Charles and Princess Diana, behaved badly in that first marriage and made decisions that none of us could ever condone," one insider said.
FAQs
Did Princess Diana really claim Queen Camilla was not to blame?
Yes, Diana told Ingrid Seward that it was the people around Charles who destroyed their marriage.
How did King Charles reportedly feel in retrospect?
Close friends say King Charles regrets how things turned out and acknowledges the pain he caused during the marriage.

On the occasion of Independence Day, Kaun Banega Crorepati offered its audience a powerful gift with a special episode titled Independence Day Maha Utsav. The show brought together three fearless women officers from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force who had played crucial roles in Operation Sindoor, a mission that dealt a strong response to Pakistan. One such moment came when host and megastar Amitabh Bachchan praised India's External Affairs Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, drawing parallels between his commanding diplomatic style and that of an Army officer. 'Tough Talk, Like a Soldier" During a round of questions that began directly from the sixth level, the contestants were shown a picture of former External Affairs Ministers Salman Khurshid and the late Sushma Swaraj. They were then asked to identify the next minister in sequence. The officers confidently answered: Dr. S. Jaishankar. Reacting with a smile, Amitabh Bachchan admitted that he often watches Jaishankar's interviews and is deeply impressed by his manner of speaking. 'He speaks so strongly and with such authority that it feels like he could easily be in the Army," Bachchan said. This candid remark instantly became the most talked-about moment of the episode, with viewers applauding the megastar for acknowledging Jaishankar's firm and fearless presence on the global stage. Fans on social media even hailed it as proof of India's diplomatic strength and Jaishankar's growing popularity. Heroes of Operation Sindoor Adding to the patriotic fervour were the three officers who graced the stage: Colonel Sophia Qureshi (Army), known for her exemplary service during United Nations missions. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh (Air Force), celebrated for her daring spirit in the skies. Commander Prerna Devasthali (Navy), who thrives on the challenges of the sea. These officers were instrumental in Operation Sindoor, where they played decisive roles against Pakistan. Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17: KBC's Independence Day special episode turned into an emotional salute to the nation's real heroes – the brave Indian army who avenged the ghastly Pahalgam attack with Operation Sindoor. Host Amitabh Bachchan invited three pioneering women officers from the Indian Armed Forces – Colonel Sophia Qureshi from the Indian Army, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh from the Indian Air Force, and Commander Prerna Deosthalee from the Indian Navy on the show. On the hot seat, Colonel Qureshi of the Indian Army shared an unforgettable chapter from her life during a mission back in the day. Sofia Qureshi recalls a deadly mission from 2006 Recounting a mission from 2006 during her posting in Congo under the United Nations peacekeeping mission, Colonel Qureshi revealed how a sudden crisis erupted when militias opened fire and took shelter in a cemetery, trapping civilians including women. 'At that time, when the team was being formed, the names of Indian officers were called first. That moment, I realised there was a chance I may never return," she recalled. Overwhelmed by the memory, she shared that she recorded a heartfelt voice message for her mother on a small phone before leaving for the mission. 'I told her I would either return alive or wrapped in the tricolour. That was the only thought on my mind," she said. The mission was eventually successful, reinforcing her faith that 'the Indian Army is the best in the world." Belonging to a family with three generations in the armed forces, Colonel Qureshi said she grew up listening to tales of courage – her ancestors even fought alongside Rani Lakshmibai. Vinayaka Chaviti festivities in Kurnool to celebrate success of ‘Operation Sindoor'

Vinayaka Chaviti festivities in Kurnool district this year will be held with the theme of 'Operation Sindoor', the successful operation carried out by the Indian defence forces against terror operatives in Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack. The Sri Ganesh Mahotsav Kendra Samithi, Kurnool, which has been organising Ganesh festivities for the past 44 years, reviewed preparations for the celebrations at a meeting held in the city on Saturday. Speaking to the media, members of the Utsava Samithi said that a different theme is chosen each year, and this time the pandals will highlight the courage and valour of Indian soldiers during Operation Sindoor. 'This year's celebrations are dedicated to our defence forces who displayed exemplary bravery and showcased the strength of the nation to the world,' the members said. The Samithi general secretary Gorantla Ramana recalled that Ganesh festivities in the public sphere were first initiated by freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak to unite Hindu youth during the freedom movement. He called upon the youth of Kurnool to actively participate in the celebrations with devotion and discipline. He further stressed the importance of environmental protection, urging organisers to install eco-friendly clay Ganesh idols, maintain cleanliness around pandals, and ensure a hygienic atmosphere during the festival. Cultural and devotional programmes, including rangoli competitions, bhajans, Harikathas, and various competitions, will mark the celebrations. The festivities will be held from August 27 to September 4, while essay writing, painting, and clay Ganesh idol-making competitions are scheduled for August 24.
