Post Malone Hits The Top 10 For The First Time By Changing Genres — Again
Post Malone has been a mainstay on pop and hip-hop rankings for years now. This week, the genre-blurring superstar lands a new kind of hit in Britain, and it might be one of the most surprising of his career so far. Malone debuts a special tribute to Nirvana on multiple charts across the pond, as it's an immediate commercial success. The set performs well across the board, but it's one style-specific list where the effort makes perhaps its most meaningful impact.
The superstar's Tribute to Nirvana kicks off its time on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart in the U.K. at No. 5. That list ranks the top-selling full-lengths in any style of rock, from hard rock to metal and everything in between.
While Malone has flirted with alternative sounds throughout his career — most notably with tracks like 'Take What You Want' with Ozzy Osbourne — Tribute to Nirvana marks his first full-length release to be classified in the rock genre. According to the Official Charts Company, the effort qualifies for the Rock & Metal Albums chart, and it now stands out as the musician's debut appearance on the genre-specific tally.
This is not the first time Malone has crossed into a new musical space and walked away with a win. Less than a year ago, in August 2024, the hitmaker reached another genre-focused ranking in the U.K. for the first time. His latest traditional studio LP F-1 Trillion brought him to the Official Country Artists Albums chart, where it hit No. 1 and stayed on the list for 35 weeks — five of those in the top spot.
That pivot to country was a bold move, considering Malone had built his name on a fusion of hip-hop and pop. But just like his latest rock effort, F-1 Trillion proved that he could find success outside his expected lanes.
He's also enjoyed a lengthy career on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart in the U.K., where five of his past projects have reached the top five. Beerbongs & Bentleys and Hollywood's Bleeding both soared all the way to No. 1, while Stoney, Twelve Carat Toothache, and The Diamond Collection have each managed to spend at least a small amount of time inside that uppermost region.
During the earliest days of the COVID-19 pandemic, when people were scared and at home, Malone decided to do something special to entertain his fans. He performed a livestream concert, filled with covers of Nirvana songs, as he is apparently a huge fan of the group.
While the livestream show is remembered fondly, it had never been released for traditional consumption – until Record Store Day 2025. Malone served as an ambassador for this year's event, and he showed up in a big way by not only lending his fame to the organization, but by delivering one of the most exciting exclusives this time around.
With this debut, Malone becomes part of an extremely small group of artists who have managed to score top 10 albums on genre-specific tallies dedicated to hip-hop, country, and now rock in the U.K. It's possible that he is the first musician ever to pull off the feat in Britain, or at least the first in a very long time. Historically, genre-hopping wasn't always seen as a strength, especially among longtime fans of an artist. But in today's increasingly fluid musical world, it's all but expected of the biggest names in the business.

Lady Gaga And Bruno Mars Score A Top 40 Bestseller (Again)
In only a few hours, it's likely that Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars will hit a very special milestone on multiple charts in the United Kingdom. Their collaboration 'Die with a Smile' isn't just living on multiple lists in that country — it remains a big win. When the Official Charts Company refreshes its rosters again, 'Die with a Smile' will almost certainly reach 52 weeks, or its first full year, on several tallies. The track is sitting in lofty enough positions that it's difficult to imagine it disappearing before it turns one year old on the chart. In fact, 'Die with a Smile' is improving, which helps its chances of becoming a one-year winner. 'Die with a Smile' Becomes a Top 40 Bestseller Gaga and Mars break back into the top 40 on a pair of charts in the U.K. this week. 'Die with a Smile' surges from just beneath that important region to No. 39 on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads tallies. A Rare Year-Long Bestseller It's relatively uncommon for songs to continue to sell well months — or even a year — after they are released. Streaming has taken over as the primary way for people to consume popular music, and while purchases do factor into where a track lands on the charts, sales usually drop off after a few frames, or even just a few days, and plays on sites like Spotify usually do the work to keep a cut present on various lists. 'Die with a Smile' is a top 40 bestseller in the U.K. just before it reaches its first year on both the Official Singles Sales and Official Singles Downloads rankings, and it could live inside that tier again when it celebrates the milestone. 'Die with a Smile' Wins on Multiple Rankings The Gaga/Mars team-up can also be found within the top 40 on the Official Singles Streaming chart. Last week, 'Die with a Smile' sat at No. 31, and this frame it increases its standing by two slots. On the Official Singles chart — the most competitive in the U.K. — the song steps up from No. 66 to No. 54. Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars Reached No. 1 Together In the past, 'Die with a Smile' reached No. 1 on both sales charts. While it didn't quite conquer either the Official Singles or Official Singles Streaming rankings, it came very close, stalling at No. 2 on each. Bruno Mars Scores Multiple Big Hits Mars claims two massive hits in the U.K. this week, as his collaboration with Blackpink star Rosé, 'Apt.,' lives on five rosters and is a top 40 win on all of them. Gaga, meanwhile, no longer has any of her other Mayhem tunes on the tallies, and though she has promoted several tracks from her latest full-length since dropping 'Die with a Smile,' it's her vintage duet that is holding on.

What to know if you're going to the Chicago Air and Water Show
Eyes will turn to the skies this weekend for the Chicago Air and Water Show. One million or more spectators are expected along the lakefront Aug. 16-17 to watch demonstrations by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team and a variety of other civilian and military aircraft. Here's what to know about this year's show: how to get to the lakefront (or avoid it), weather conditions, a full lineup of performers and more. No, the event is free. North Avenue Beach is show center, but good sight lines can be found at Ohio Street Beach and along the lakefront from Fullerton Avenue south to Oak Street Beach. It's recommended passengers purchase tickets ahead of time or through the Ventra app to avoid long lines. Chicago Transit Authority and getting there by 'L': The CTA will provide extra service on some lines, but the No. 72 North Avenue bus will be rerouted. Take the Red Line to stations at Chicago/State or Clark/Division, which are within walking distance of show center. Or, take the Blue, Green, Orange, Brown or Pink lines to the downtown area and walk east. The closest CTA station to the North Avenue Beach entrance is the Brown Line's Sedgwick station. Metra: Extra service will be provided on four of Metra's 11 lines with expanded passenger capacity, too, during the weekend. Customers disembarking at Metra's Union Station or Millennium Park Station can board CTA's No. 151 buses to Oak Street and North Avenue beaches. Alcohol is prohibited and bicycles might not be accommodated all day Saturday and Sunday. Bike: Bringing your own bike? Bikes are allowed on the beach. Renting one? Divvy's closest station to North Avenue Beach is at DuSable Lake Shore Drive and North Boulevard. Plan your ride at Parking: No parking is available at show central. Millennium Garages' four, underground locations offer discounted online parking packages for purchase in advance and a free shuttle from Millennium Park Garage, 6 S. Columbus Drive, to and from near North Avenue Beach. Shuttles depart the garage every 20 minutes starting at 9 a.m. Pickup and drop-off is at inner DuSable Lake Shore Drive, half a block south of LaSalle Street. Last shuttle departs for the garage from North Avenue Beach at 3 p.m. Spothero also offers nearby parking options. All bags will be searched upon entry. What you can bring to the show: Leave at home: The forecast calls for hot, humid conditions with highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s and heat indices near or above 100 degrees. Sunday has a 6slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm, according to the National Weather Service's Chicago office. It happens. Foggy and wet conditions delayed performances in 2022. In case of severe weather: Temporary shelter from rain, high winds, lightning or hail is available at various nearby underpasses (Diversey Harbor, Fullerton Avenue and LaSalle Drive) and pedway locations (Division Street, Scott Street, Oak Street and Chicago Avenue). Yes! Spectators can pay $20 per vehicle for entrance to the parking lot at Gary/Chicago International Airport, where they can watch aircraft take off and land. Herb Hunter is the show announcer based at North Avenue Beach. He's a former military pilot and United Airlines captain. Play-by-play coverage will be on WBBM-AM 780 and 105.9 FM. For those who are low vision or blind, there will be an audio description both days of the show that is accessible via Zoom. Vertical green signs with white letters and numbers called pole markers are attached to all light poles along the lakefront. Lost? Injured? Witness criminal activity? Look up, call 911 and give the letter/number on the pole nearest your location to help first responders locate you. Or, use the pole marker to let friends and family know where you are. ‘Deadliest Catch' star Sig Hansen confronts mortality after life-threatening health scares at sea
"Deadliest Catch" Captain Sig Hansen isn't afraid of the sea, but he's no longer pretending he's invincible. After decades of battling brutal conditions in the Bering Sea, Hansen, 59, is now facing something even more formidable than icy waves — his own mortality. The veteran fisherman, known for his grit and leadership aboard the F/V Northwestern, told Fox News Digital that a string of personal health scares at sea has fundamentally changed the way he views both fishing and family. "Honestly, with family, it actually opened my eyes," Hansen candidly said. "I mean, I want to spend more time with them, and it's like you do have more of an appreciation… you do see things differently with age and all that." "Honestly, with family, it actually opened my eyes. I mean, I want to spend more time with them, and it's like you do have more of an appreciation… you do see things differently with age and all that." As for his mortality, the sea captain said the clock's ticking, and he wants to be a better father, grandfather and husband to his family. Hansen — who's spoken in the past about surviving a heart attack and enduring medical setbacks while at sea — said the close calls have made him want to become a better man, especially at home. WATCH: 'DEADLIEST CATCH' STAR REFLECTS ON AGING, FAMILY AND FEAR AT SEA "If you're a terrible father, you want to be a better father," he reflected. "And then if you can't be a better father, then now you're a good grandfather. So, you're trying to make up for all this lost time." But when it comes to deep-sea fishing — the career that made him famous — Hansen admitted the fear has deepened. "I'm much more fearful," he confessed. "You do have the Coast Guard — and they're just amazing… guys and gals out there that are out looking over everybody, but at the end of the day… there's no doctor. It's scary." He recalled one terrifying moment that nearly cost him his life — not on deck, but shortly after returning from sea. WATCH: 'DEADLIEST CATCH' STAR SIG HANSEN REVEALS HIS BIGGEST REGRETS, MISTAKES FROM DANGEROUS CAREER "I was going to take the boat to Seattle… it's about a seven-day trip," Hansen recalled. But his brother offered to handle the voyage, so Hansen could fly home early — a decision that may have saved his life. Before leaving, Hansen took a hard fall on the ice and hit his nose. He brushed it off and flew home. He waited a day in Dutch Harbor before continuing his journey. But once he got back, Hansen explained how things took a scary turn. "I woke up and… I had an infection and my face looked just like it was swollen," he said. "It was like a golf ball out of my nostril." An alarmed Hansen shouted to his wife, "Did you poison me?" She replied, "No, we got to get you to the hospital." WATCH: 'DEADLIEST CATCH' STAR SIG HANSEN SHARES THE DANGERS HE'S FACED AT SEA THIS SEASON Doctors didn't waste time. He was injected with antibiotics immediately. "She said basically, you know, another few hours, you'd be gone." As Hansen looked back, he was certain of one thing: If he'd been at sea when the infection hit, the results could've been fatal. "Had I been on that boat, I don't think the Coast Guard would have been there soon enough… That's all it would've took. One little slip in the ice — and then you got the infection — and that's how quick things can happen." The Norwegian American has weathered countless storms and personal health scares during his time on "Deadliest Catch," including a heart attack in 2016. While Hansen isn't quite ready to hang up his captain's hat, he explained that his priorities may have shifted, as the call of home is growing louder than the call of the sea. Since he suffered a heart attack on the job, he's been more cautious and more aware of what's at stake, as he told Fox News Digital what retirement may look like for him in the future. "I've been thinking about it ever since… more fearful when you put pots on the boat, more fearful for everybody else," he said. "And then you start thinking, 'My wife has spent decades waiting for me. Why not… give the last whatever I got to her?' That's what I'm doing." The veteran sea captain has been married to his wife June for more than 20 years. Throughout their decades-long marriage, Sig adopted June's two daughters — Mandy and Nina Hansen. Fans of "Deadliest Catch" would recognize Mandy, who's stepped into the spotlight alongside her father aboard the F/V Northwestern. She welcomed a daughter named Sailor Marie in November 2021 with her husband, Clark Pederson. In addition to their blended family, Sig also has a biological daughter, Melissa, from a previous marriage that ended in divorce. "Deadliest Catch" airs Fridays at 8 p.m. on Discovery Channel.
