Sydney Sweeney reportedly backed by Jeff Bezos for racy new career move
Jeff Bezos' latest investment is a new lingerie line designed by Sydney Sweeney.
The Emmy-nominated actress, known for her roles in the HBO series 'Euphoria' and 'The White Lotus,' has been working on a lingerie line that has received backing from Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sánchez, a source familiar with the matter told US Weekly.
Sweeney was invited to the couple's June wedding in Venice, Italy.
Sydney Sweeney is reportedly primed to launch a lingerie line, which has been backed by billionaire Jeff Bezos.
Sweeney recently shared cryptic photos of herself in lingerie.
'This has been a huge project for her and something she's been working on for the last year,' the source said.
Her brand, which will reportedly debut 'soon,' was backed by Ben Schwerin, a partner at private equity firm Coatue.
The private equity firm recently launched a fund focused on investing in high-growth public and private tech companies.
The family offices of Bezos and PC company founder Michael Dell have committed to provide $US1 billion of the initial capital for the fund, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Sweeney is one of the most talked about Hollywood stars right now.
A pitch deck seen by the Journal indicated the fund aims to invest between 20 to 50 per cent of its assets in private investments with the rest earmarked for public stocks.
Bezos has already invested capital in several companies in the tech, healthcare, aerospace, finance and media industries.

Most of those investments are made through his venture capital firm, Bezos Expeditions, and through Nash Holdings, which owns The Washington Post.
Now, some of his funds will back the actress's first brand. During her rapid rise to fame, Sweeney has formed partnerships and become the brand ambassador for several major companies, including HeyDude footwear, Bai beverages, Laneige skincare and Kérastase haircare.
Recently, she made headlines with a campaign for men's natural body wash brand Dr. Squatch, selling a limited-edition soap reportedly made with her own bathwater.

He bucked and knocked his leg, which he's never done, but thankfully it wasn't anything serious.' Leap To Fame became just the eighth pacer to win multiple Inter Dominion finals and owners Kevin and Kay Seymour hinted strongly at chasing a third crown, which only three other pacers have done (Blacks A Fake, Im Themightyquinn and Our Sir Vancelot). The 31-year-old comedian and his 29-year-old model girlfriend Elsie Hewitt are expecting their first child together later this year and friends of Pete have insisted that now is the 'perfect' time for him to become a father. A source told Us Weekly: 'This has brought them even closer. It's a healthy relationship for Pete. Pete has always wanted to be a dad and thinks the timing in his life is perfect. He couldn't have done it a few years ago but is in a very different place in life now. 'He's had a great year so far with two movies coming out soon, another in production, and a return to stand-up.' While Pete and Elsie only went public with their romance in March, insiders insisted they are smitten with each other. The source said: 'They are over the moon about it. They are so excited. Pete and Elsie have a really playful relationship, and things are going really well.' The insider added: '[They have only been together for a] 'short amount of time,' but they've become 'inseparable' since they started dating earlier this year. 'He and Elsie live together now and are starting to get things ready, which has been very exciting for them to do together.' Sources told TMZ that Elsie is due to give birth in the winter and she and Pete recently shared their happy news with friends and family. In May, Elsie gushed her boyfriend is the "best person" she's ever met. She told People magazine: 'He is so incredible. Honestly, best person I've ever met, and I'm so grateful ...
