Vick Hope and Calvin Harris' relationship timeline, from first meeting to first baby
Congratulations are in order for Vick Hope and Calvin Harris, who have welcomed their first child. DJ Harris posted on Instagram to announce that Hope had given birth to son Micah in July.
Harris shared photos of himself holding Micah, he and Hope meeting their son moments after his birth, Hope in a birthing pool in Ibiza, and some pictures of her placenta as well as dehydrating it into pill form.
Sharing that Micah had arrived a couple of weeks earlier, he wrote: "20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here! My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah."
New mum Hope also shared a couple of the photos to her Instagram Stories, captioning the one of Harris and Micah: "My boys."
BBC radio presenter Hope is known for her privacy about her personal life and only addressed her pregnancy for the first time in May when she revealed she was going on maternity leave during her Going Home show. Speaking to her co-host Jamie Laing during the show on Monday, 19 May, Hope said it was in her final week on air, explaining: "I'm going on maternity leave next week," as she began to giggle.
Hope and Harris have one of the most private celebrity relationships around. Back in 2023, they pulled off a private wedding with minimal attention on their big day.

(Not) love at first sight
Long before Hope was a famous name in broadcasting and right at the beginning of Harris' high-profile career, things didn't quite work out between the pair.
Harris asked Hope on a date in 2007, but she swiftly turned him down – as she laughed about with You magazine ahead of their wedding.
She said: "It's something that we laughed about on our first proper date. We still laugh about it now."
Much later, in 2018 Roman Kemp teased Hope about her decision on their radio show after remarking that Harris had had "one of the best glow ups he'd ever seen".
Hope admitted: "I went off with either Scouting for Girls or The Wombats. I don't know which. I thought they were going to be bigger, but no, it turns out Calvin Harris was going to turn into an Adonis."
Going public and getting engaged
Happily, the couple got a second chance at romance not long afterwards... so who knows, maybe Harris heard Hope talking about her regrets.
By 2022, rumours were swirling that the celebrity pair had been dating for a few months, with them eventually going public in a wholesome appearance at Chelsea Flower Show in May 2022.
Laughing and joking together, they looked relaxed in each other's company, but eagle-eyed fans noticed another detail as Hope was wearing a sparkling ring on her engagement finger.
She confirmed the rumours in an interview with Hello! magazine in October, saying: "You know what, I was very overwhelmed by the interest in it, but I'm keeping my private life private. I've never really experienced 'this' before about my private life, but it's just for us."
Wedding plan rumours
Although the couple have managed to keep many details of their romance to themselves, there has been plenty of filling in the gaps, especially about their wedding.
Some reports had confidently predicted that the wedding would take place in Ibiza which seemed a fitting location for the DJ and radio star.
However, as it turned out the happy couple managed to keep the real location top secret...
The big day
Geordie Hope headed back home to the North East to celebrate her wedding, which took place on Saturday, 9 September, 2023 at Hulne Priory in Alnwick, Northumberland.
Celebrity guests included AJ Odudu, Scott Mills, Vernon Kay and Jordan North, with Nile Rodgers and Chic performing at their wedding reception.
But despite the famous guest count, Hope and Harris still managed to keep their big day off social media, just like the rest of their relationship.
As Hope had previously explained to You magazine: "There's a difference between secrecy and privacy. We don't really put anything on social media because the time we have together is 'real life', and it's our own.
"For the first time in a long time, I'm finishing work and going home to a life that is just mine. I'm learning to find balance and peace."
Expecting their first child
From early in 2025, speculation began that Hope was pregnant as she appeared to have a baby bump. However, as her bump grew and it became clear that the couple were expecting, they kept their happy news to themselves rather than opting for the usual celebrity announcement.
The first time that Hope publicly acknowledged her pregnancy was on Monday, 19 May when she told listeners of her BBC Radio 1 Going Home show that she was going on maternity leave.
She said that she was in her final week on air, explaining: "I'm going on maternity leave next week," as she began to giggle.
Co-host Jamie Laing told her: "You're an amazing friend, an amazing person, and you're just going to be an amazing mum," as she replied: "Oh, thank you." Laing also acknowledged that Hope is famously tight-lipped about her personal life.
Hope said: "This is not an announcement, by the way. People keep saying are you going to announce, are you going to announce? And I'm like, I'm not the King. I do not see the point, it's not for me. I'll be honest, I struggle with anything that's personal or private. I will tell you a story about eating a kebab out of a bin, that's one thing. But there's a line and so I've never been that big on sharing. Particularly because I've just been enjoying this privately and quietly."
The couple have been spending the summer in Ibiza where Harris has a residency at club Ushuaïa and ahead of Micah's birth, Hope shared plenty of photos of the final weeks of her pregnancy. Her family, including her parents, were also in Ibiza and were shown dancing along to Harris' set in some of Hope's videos.
Welcoming baby Micah
Proud new parents Hope and Harris introduced their son Micah to fans via Instagram on 4 August, 2025 - two weeks after his birth.
Harris wrote: "20th of July our boy arrived. Micah is here! My wife is a superhero and I am in complete awe of her primal wisdom! Just so grateful. We love you so much Micah."
He shared photos of Micah's first days in Ibiza, including one of him cradling his son on an outdoor terrace, one of him and Hope meeting Micah for the first time just after his birth, and one of Hope in a birthing pool with a view of Ibiza through a large window next to her.
On her Instagram Stories, Hope also shared the photo of Harris and Micah captioned: "My boys", as well as the one of her in the birthing pool.
Unusually for the private pair, Harris' photo collection announcing Micah's arrival also included a shot of Hope's placenta, one of the placenta cut into pieces inside a dehydration machine, and finally one of a jar of pills it had been made into.
The couple's celebrity friends congratulated them on becoming parents, with Davina McCall writing: "Arggggghhhhhhh you guys !!!!!! We are literally bursting with happiness and love for you all …. So so great."
Joe Wicks commented: "Oh wow this wonderful. Congratulations to you both. Welcome to the world Micah."
MistaJam told them: "Welcome to Parenthood guys. The best ride of your life."
Example appeared to reference the placenta pills as he added: "Meat Caps for the win."

Rare copy of The Hobbit sells for 'record-breaking' sum
An "astonishingly rare" first edition of The Hobbit has sold for a "record-breaking" £43,000 at auction. The copy of JRR Tolkien's novel is one of only 1,500 copies that were printed in 1937. It was discovered without a dustcover on a bookcase during a home clearance in Bristol. It was sold to a private collector in the UK through an online auction at Auctioneum in Bath, Somerset, earlier. Caitlin Riley, the book specialist from the auction house, said: "It's the quintessential auction story. Everyone dreams of finding a rare item hidden in plain sight, and here we are." Ms Riley said the book is in "absolutely beautiful condition" and she believed it sold for a record price for a first edition without a dustcover. "House clearances can be tricky, stressful and troublesome... this could have so easily been sent to landfill, or disposed of by someone who didn't realise it was there," she added. The book came from the family library of Hubert Priestley who was a famous botanist in the 1930s and brother to the Antarctic explorer and geologist, Sir Raymond Edward Priestley. Priestley had strong connections to the University of Oxford where Tolkien stood as Rawlinson and Bosworth Professor of Anglo-Saxon and a Fellow of Pembroke College. Both men knew fellow author C.S. Lewis and it is likely that they knew each other. "It's the connection to Tolkien and the important provenance that makes this book so special. It's not just any first edition; it belonged to someone who very likely called Tolkien an acquaintance," Ms Riley said. She added it was astonishingly rare to find a first edition in such good condition. "Being a children's book, most of them have seen children's hands, children's colouring pens in some cases, so to have one that appears to be completely unread and never enjoyed is really, really astonishingly rare," she said. The Hobbit is one of the most successful children's novels, with more than 100 million copies sold. The story is set in the fantasy world Middle-earth and follows the hobbit Bilbo Baggins on a quest to find treasure. The rare edition that was sold also includes rare drawings by Tolkien himself. ‘Hamilton' turns 10: Lin-Manuel Miranda announces movie theater release to celebrate the Broadway musical's anniversary
The film version of the hit show will debut in theaters on Sept. 5. Rise up, Hamilton fans: The Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning Broadway musical is coming to a movie theater near you. On Tuesday's episode of The Tonight Show, Lin-Manuel Miranda announced that the feature film version of his hit musical Hamilton will make its theatrical debut on Sept. 5 in celebration of its 10th anniversary. Hamilton premiered on Broadway a decade ago today, on Aug. 6, 2015. 'I have an announcement!' Miranda, who created and originally starred in the musical, said. 'So, tomorrow is the 10-year anniversary of Hamilton, and we've been celebrating all year. But we have one more way to celebrate. We filmed most of the original cast performing in Hamilton in 2016, and we always wanted to release it theatrically, but then the pandemic hit, and so we decided to release it on streaming so that everyone could see it at home whenever they wanted. But, Sept. 5, you will be able to see Hamilton in movie theaters nationwide and in Puerto Rico.' The film will be released in theaters in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico on Sept. 5, in the U.K. and Ireland on Sept. 26, and in Australia and New Zealand on Nov. 13, per Variety. A special screening of Hamilton, organized by the Public Theater, will take place on Sept. 3 at the Delacorte Theater in New York City's Central Park. A limited number of advance tickets will be available for purchase, followed by a free ticket lottery and free standby line the night of the event. Hamilton premiered on Disney+ in July 2020.
