Former Ravens, Michigan assistant Matt Weiss pleads not guilty to cyber fraud
Via Dan Wetzel of ESPN.com, Weiss was released on a $10,000 bond. He also was required to surrender his passport, and to allow officials to place software on his computer to monitor his Internet use.
Prosecutors allege that Weiss's misconduct dates back to 2015. He allegedly accessed the personal accounts of 'thousands' of NCAA student-athletes. He allegedly targeted specific female athletes, accessing personal and intimate photos and videos.
He allegedly exploited the Keffer Development Services system that keeps medical data for student-athletes at roughly 100 schools. He allegedly cracked Keffer's code for obtaining and guessing passwords.
Weiss faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine on 14 different charges, along with another two years behind bars on 10 additional charges.
Weiss has worked for both of the Harbaugh brothers. The relationship began with Jim at Stanford, from 2007 through 2008. Weiss then worked for John and the Ravens, from 2009 through 2020. Weiss rejoined Jim, at Michigan from 2021 through 2022.

Man wanted in shooting death of 18-year-old Jackson woman
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — Jackson police are asking the community for assistance in locating a man charged with homicide in the of 18-year-old Mia Sims in late July. Antonio Treyvonne Green, pictured below, has been charged with second degree murder, discharging a firearm in or at a building causing death, and felony firearm. Second degree murder carries a penalty of up to life in prison with the possibility of parole. According to the Jackson Police Department, officers responded to the area of United Peoples Church at around 12:45 p.m. on July 27 after receiving a shots fired call. When they arrived, they found Sims with a gunshot wound to the neck. She was taken to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, where she died from her injuries. The Jackson County Prosecutor's Office and the Jackson Police Department are asking for the public's help in locating Green. Shooting kills 18-year-old woman in Jackson, police say
LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — 18-year-old Mia Sims was shot and killed Sunday afternoon near United Peoples Church in Jackson. Police have not yet named a suspect in the homicide. Jackson Police Chief Chris Simpson reports that officers responded to the 1500 block of Carl Breeding Way after receiving calls for shots fired at 12:45 p.m. Officers arrived to find Sims in a vehicle with a gunshot wound in her 'neck area.' She was transported to the Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The Jackson Police Department, the Blackman Township Department of Public Safety, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office and the Michigan State Police Jackson Post are continuing the investigation. Police did not say if any arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and that it's very early in the investigation. 'I can say we certainly have people of interest that we're investigating right now, but right now it's just too early to name suspects at this juncture of the investigation,' Simpson said. Marcus Smith, a Jackson resident, says he went to high school with Sims, and the tragedy hits close to home. 'It hurt the community for real too, because everybody knew her. She knew a lot of people, and everybody loves her,' said Smith. 'She was a great girl, you know, she was respectful, always positive.' Jackson Public Schools has shared the following statement: Dear Family and Friends of Mia Sims, Please accept my deepest and most sincere condolences on the tragic loss of Mia. As a member of this community and a fellow Viking, my heart is with you, her family, her friends, and all who are mourning her loss. Mia was a proud member of the Jackson High School Class of 2025. Her life, though far too short, was filled with joy, kindness, and a beautiful light that touched many. She lived with purpose and heart—always smiling, always friendly, and always doing great things. As we each navigate this immense grief, let us remember that everyone experiences sorrow in their own way. There is no right or wrong path to healing. Jackson mayor confirms niece was shot in July
LANSING, Mich. () — Jackson Mayor Daniel Mahoney confirmed his niece, Mia Sims, was shot and killed in late July. Sims, 18, was shot near the United Peoples Church in Jackson. Man wanted in shooting death of 18-year-old Jackson woman 'He shot my niece while she was at church,' Mahoney wrote on social media. 'She went outside to get pancakes her grandmother made for her and never returned back in to the church. She was 18, she just graduated high school. Now her killer is just out here.' Police are now calling for the community's help to find Antonio Treyvonne Green, who is charged with the shooting of Sims.
