Daily Mail21-04-2025

A nepo baby, who is the child of two famous Hollywood A-lister parents, celebrated her 22nd birthday on Monday.
The novice model looked the double of her actress mother as her parents shared some sweet pictures to mark the big day.
Her father, 80, is a multi-award-winning American actor and film producer who has bagged multiple Golden Globes and a BAFTA for his legendary films.
Meanwhile her mother, 55, is a famed Welsh actress, who has starred in many cult classics such as Zorro, and a luxury brand model.
Her parents welcomed the nepo baby and her elder brother, Dylan, and have been happily married for 25 years.
But can you guess who it is?
That is right, it's Carys Zeta Douglas!
Carys is the daughter of Michael Kirk Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
And Carys proved that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree with her good looks as she looked the double of Catherine in a snap uploaded to Michael's Instagram on Sunday.
Sharing a snap of the influencer, Michael uploaded a picture of his daughter to celebrate her birthday.
Sharing a picture of his daughter, he penned: 'Happy Birthday my darling daughter Carys! Congratulations on graduation! I am proud of you @carys.douglas! ❤️ Dad'
To which she responded, 'Thank you Dadda I love you so much'
And her mother also took to social media to celebrate their youngest child as she shared a black and white throwback snap of herself and Carys as a toddle.
Alongside the Story, she wrote: '22 years ago my Easter Bunny arrived. Happy Birthday Carys'.
And the star has appeared to show interest in following her parent's footsteps, too, as she starred in the short film F**k That Guy featuring Victoria Pedretti (pictured April 2024)
Carys was born April 2003 and followed in her brother Dylan's footsteps as she is studying at Brown University in Rhode Island.
The brunette beauty has spent many months studying abroad in Europe as part of her International and Public Affairs degree.
And the star has appeared to show interest in following her parent's footsteps, too, as she starred in the short film F**k That Guy featuring Victoria Pedretti.
Carys has also featured in a few modelling gigs alongside her famed mother, as she has previously been seen in a Fendi campaign in 2019.
The student also appears to have a very strong relationship with her brother, as she recently shared pictures of them hiking through the mountains.
Michael has been married twice. His first marriage was to Diandra Luker in 1977, with whom he has one son, Cameron Douglas, 45. Michael and Diandra divorced in 2000.
In 2000, he married Welsh actress Catherine, 55 and acting is a prominent part of Michael's family background; he is the son of legendary actor Kirk Douglas and actress Diana Dill.
While Dylan has a short resume on IMDb, he still remains in the spotlight - he hosts Young American with Dylan Douglas, a 'Gen Z powered political talk show.'
Cary's IMDb only has four credits thus far but her work includes the short film Shell and working as a second assistant director on the short August.
In 2021, Catherine revealed both Carys and Dylan are determined to get into acting.
Catherine said on The Drew Barrymore Show: 'Their love of the craft of acting is so strong that even when their brains are doing politics and history in school, their passion is acting.
'And they've never done anything professional, but they would like to go into acting.'
Carys has even been warned by her father that if she pursues a career in Hollywood she will always be referred to as 'the daughter of.'
The mother-of-two said: 'In fact one has to prove oneself more, so even with that deterrent my kids are like, 'No, sorry we still want to do it.''

Wynne Evans shares full apology video which he claims BBC 'cut short'

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Wynne Evans has shared a full apology video from Strictly Come Dancing which he claims the BBC ordered him to cut short. The Welsh opera singer, 53, was fired from the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour earlier this year, and recently dropped from his BBC Radio Wales rolling contract after a string of controversies. This week, he insisted during an interview with This Morning that an apology he and Katya Jones shared during last year's Strictly series was originally meant to be longer. The singer and his professional dance partner sparked controversy when she appeared to move his hand from her waist, which he said was 'just a body language experiment that was picked up on'. He added on This Morning: 'Katya said to me, 'Put your hand on my waist, I'll move it back, we'll see if anybody picks it up [on social media],' and boy did they pick it up.' The pair shared a brief apology video at the time, but he has now shared a different version which is 50 seconds long instead of the 10 second clip that got published. 'Hello everyone. We felt the need to clarify something,' Katya said at the start of the longer backstage video. 'We find it quite fascinating how people take time to look into in such detail every gesture, every look.' Wynne added: 'So we thought we'll mess around. And we said, 'Oh I'll put my hand on your waist, you pretend to move it away and let's see who notices it.' 'And now everybody thinks I'm a weirdo. But really I promise you I'm not. And we're doing this high ten thing as well where she blanks me from a high ten.' The pair insisted it was 'all sort of planned just to see if anybody notices', while Katya said they wanted to 'clarify that it's all just messing around'. 'He's not a creep,' she added. 'But he's a brilliant dancer.' Wynne captioned the newly shared clip: 'The video that was too long for @bbcstrictly @bbccymruwales I think this tells it as it was.' However, the BBC has insisted 'all parties agreed' that the shorter version was the best way forward. A spokesperson told The Sun: 'For the avoidance of doubt, the video in question was filmed twice and all parties agreed at the time that the second more concise version would be better suited for social media.' On This Morning, Wynne admitted he can 'totally understand' how people were confused and 'upset' by the stunt. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video He said: 'I don't want to sit here today, coming across as a victim because I'm not. I totally understand why people were upset by that and I get it.' However, he argued that the decision to only share a 10-second apology was still 'the wrong decision'. Earlier this year, Wynne was sensationally dumped from the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour over comments he made involving host Janette Manrara. The 'unacceptable' joke referenced having a threesome with the dancer, 41. Soon after he apologised, saying he was 'deeply sorry for the pain my inappropriate action caused' and would take a break from the public eye for 'self-reflection' and to 'prioritise my wellbeing'. More Trending And the BBC later decided not to renew his one-year rolling BBC Radio contract following a four-month investigation. He confirmed in an Instagram statement: 'It breaks my heart to say the BBC has decided not to renew my contract, so I won't be returning to my radio show. I'm gutted. 'That show wasn't just work — it was home. It was us. We laughed, we cried, we sang like nobody was listening. And somehow, through the airwaves, we became a family.' American tries roast dinner for first time but is floored by condiment

An American man sampled a British roast dinner for the first time, but it wasn't quite what he expected. One key element of the dish appeared to leave him very disappointed Sometimes it's good to get out of your comfort zone, especially when it comes to food. After all, there are so many different delicacies to try that it seems rude not to sample something new every now and then, but one American was left a little underwhelmed when he tucked into a roast dinner for the first time ever. The man was captured in a TikTok video sampling a roast, and he couldn't quite get over the experience, with parts of the recipe appearing to leave him confused. As well as sampling all the vegetables, he was handed some bread sauce and mint sauce to try, and it wasn't quite what he expected. ‌ In the clip, shared by AJ Slambino, you can see that a feast had been laid out on the table. As they sat down to eat, there were even pigs in blankets and stuffing on offer - it really was a roast with all the trimmings. ‌ He's seen saying: "I've never had mint sauce. There's a lot going on here, ok? There's a little kick to it. It's not spice - it's like that flavour. It's vinegar. "I'm going to be honest, I don't know if I would eat this again. I don't like the vinegar taste." Warning: Below video may contain offensive language He then moves on to try the bread sauce, but he seemed to like this a lot more. The critique was heard adding: "Yeah, that's divine. Mint sauce though, I don't think I'd do mint sauce again. I think I would pass on that." Since the video was shared, it's been viewed hundreds of times, and people were quick to comment too. Some Brits couldn't get over the fact that he didn't like mint sauce. ‌ One said: "Mint sauce with everything, every roast, all of them." Another added: "Mint sauce on everything with gravy." A third replied: "Mint sauce goes with any roast in my opinion. At the very least, make a mint gravy." Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "Bread sauce is in the elite tier." Others had different ideas though, as someone else suggested: "Always mint jelly, not mint sauce. It's sweeter and not like vinegar." One more also chimed in with: "Bread sauce is for chicken and turkey, mint sauce is for lamb." Despite having mixed feelings about aspects of the dish, AJ reveals he managed to clear his plate at the end. Overall, he must have thought it tasted pretty good, as not a scrap was left. Most people tend to eat mint sauce with lamb, and there's a good reason why. As the vingear gives it a lively tang, it's able to cut through the richness of lamb with just the right amount of acid, fragrance and sweetness. Meanwhile, bread sauce is usually served alongside a classic roast chicken or turkey. Many Brits pair it with white meat, esepcially at Christmas time.

Secret strain behind Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom ending their engagement

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have reportedly split following a 'rough patch' in their relationship, with the pair struggling to fix issues that have crept up of late The real reason Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have called it quits has reportedly been revealed. Earlier this week, it was reported that the American singer and the British actor had "quietly ended their engagement" but are apparently planning to wait until Katy's tour concludes at the end of this year. Neither Katy, 40, nor Orlando, 48, has yet to confirm or deny the rumours but those close to the on-off couple have hinted the split is more of "a rough patch" and the two stars are in a battle to fix their relationship before it's too late. ‌ Katy, previously married to British comedian Russell Brand, and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor began their love story back in 2016. Their romantic journey peaked with an engagement three years later, just ahead of Daisy's arrival in 2020. ‌ The pair did split briefly at the start of their relationship before finding their way back to one another and reuniting for good. However, it seems their nearly ten-year liaison is reportedly on the ropes due to recent professional struggles for Katy. "There aren't many people she can dump her emotions on, but obviously she can with Orlando. But with his work and juggling parenting, life as of late has put a strain on their relationship," a source has said amid the speculation. It's been a tough time professionally for Katy of late, with the award-winning singer facing embarrassment after critics lambasted her latest album, and her space adventure invited further criticism, leaving the 'I Kissed A Girl' singer under intense scrutiny and putting a strain on her relationship. But all is not lost, with the insider added that Katy and Orlando are going through a rough patch "but it's not at the point of no return." They told the DailyMail: "They know they must fix things, and they both want to figure it out. They haven't been able to sit down and work on some of their issues. A breakup isn't imminent, but they both know that they should focus on their relationship before it does become too late." Other sources allege that the lacklustre performance of Katy's album titled '143' put a strain on their bond, as Orlando tried to be supportive. PageSix suggests the couple are biding time until the conclusion of Katy's 'Lifetimes' tour on December 7 before going public with their separation. ‌ "It's over," confided the insider. "They're just waiting until the tour is done before they split." The Mirror has previously approached Katy and Orlando's representatives for a comment regarding these claims. Amid the drama, Katy has shared a charming behind-the-scenes clip of her five-year-old daughter Daisy Dove American singer posted a collection of pictures and videos to Instagram on Friday showing 'tidbits' from her world tour so far. ‌ Katy, 40, is currently performing the Australian leg of her Lifetimes Tour, playing a series of shows in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Sydney. "Tour liffffffeeee side quest tid bits," she captioned the post, which showed Katy inhaling helium from a balloon, posing with her tour dancers and holding the key to Oklahoma City. One clip, taken in Katy's hotel room at Capella Sydney, showed Daisy Dove hiding behind a curtain and singing as her mum filmed the special moment. 'The part where Daisy was playing behind the curtains warmed my heart,' one fan wrote in the comments section. ‌ Rumours that Katy is newly single intensified when the Road hitmaker made a telling comment on stage during a recent performance. The mum-of-one was performing the third of her Sydney concerts on Tuesday night when she was handed a packet of Tim Tam chocolate biscuits. Katy was in the middle of performing of her 2008 heartbreak anthem I'm Still Breathing when she opened the packet and ate one of the treats. "This song is about a breakup, and this Tim Tam saved me," the pop icon told the crowd during the brief interlude. "Thank you," she continued, before resuming her performance whilst kneeling down and offering biscuits to the front row audience members. Her remark about enduring a 'breakup' has only fuelled recent rumours that Katy and Orlando are encountering some difficulties.
