Siddique hails from Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore and has won international Tekken competitions after learning to play as an eight-year-old in gaming arcades in Pakistan. He was already a well-known name in local gaming circles by his teenage years.
Pakistan has recently taken strides in the gaming arena, particularly in Tekken. In March, a Pakistani team delivered a historic victory in Seoul during a special Tekken 8 event, ending South Korea's long-standing dominance in competitive Tekken esports.
For years, South Korea had been the leading force in the scene until Siddique began rising to prominence by winning major international tournaments.
In July 2023, he was part of the Pakistani trio that clinched the Nations Cup in Riyadh, the first-ever country-based Tekken tournament, where Pakistan remained unbeaten throughout.
In August 2023, Siddique became the first professional gamer to win the Tekken 7 title four times, and also triumphed at the Uprising Korea 2023 tournament in Seoul.
Over the years, Siddique has secured multiple EVO titles, including EVO Las Vegas (2019, 2023, 2024) and EVO Japan (2019, 2023), cementing his legacy as one of the greatest in Tekken history.

RIYADH: Few achieve their dreams by the age of 16. Yet, fresh from high school, Ibrahim Albassam has already achieved a key life goal, leveling up to go from a gaming fan to an electronic sports professional, joining Twisted Minds as a pro player. While millions around the globe battle it out daily in 'EA Sports FC 25,' only the best of the best get to cross the white line and go for glory as a professional player. As in real football, goals win games in 'EA Sports FC 25,' and Albassam knows how to hit the back of the net, but progressing to a pro was a steep learning curve as he balanced his studies with his newfound career. 'Balancing my life as a student and with competitive e-sports was a critical part of my early journey,' he explained. 'I always made it a priority to stay focused on my studies and exams, while also dedicating time daily for practise and improvement. That discipline helped shape my mindset as a player, learning how to manage pressure, stay consistent, and remain committed to both education and gaming. 'I truly believe that when you're passionate about something, you'll always find the time to pursue it and succeed. During that time, I practiced consistently for one to two hours each day to stay sharp and improve my performance.' Albassam began his e-sports journey through the School eLeague. His talent quickly stood out leading him to represent the Eastern Province in the 'EA Sports FC 25' tournament, where he delivered strong performances. After winning first place in the School eLeague Championship, he was signed by Twisted Minds, one of the Kingdom's leading e-sports organizations. 'The School eLeague was my first step into the professional scene and served as the gateway for me to join one of the top teams in Saudi Arabia, Twisted Minds and represent them in the Saudi eLeague 'EA FC 25' tournament,' explains Albassam. 'The biggest difference I noticed was the level of intensity and seriousness. In the Saudi eLeague, you're facing top-tier players from every club, each with their own achievements and experience. 'It's a much more competitive environment, which forces you to grow, learn, and elevate your game quickly. On top of that, representing a team like Twisted Minds adds even more motivation to perform, win, and continue developing as a professional.' Albassam's success is one of many examples of the Saudi Esports Federation's success in investing in grassroots development, creating pathways for talent to progress, compete at the highest level and represent Saudi Arabia in the global e-sports scene. The Schools eLeague, organized by the Saudi Esports Federation in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has become a hotbed for talent and a platform for aspiring players to learn, develop and showcase their abilities with opportunities to take the leap into careers in e-sports. Albassam is grateful for the opportunities available to young players in the Kingdom and for the support of his family who were initially unsure about his ambitions but were quickly convinced that e-sports is a significant focus area for Saudi Arabia, with young players like him at the forefront of its progression. 'At first, my family had some concerns about me pursuing a professional career in gaming, which is understandable, as they hadn't seen or experienced the opportunities in esports the way our generation has,' Albassam explained. 'Over time, they began to recognize the potential of this industry and how a passion for gaming can evolve into a legitimate and promising career path, especially with the level of support e-sports is receiving here in the Kingdom. Pakistan beat West Indies 2-1 to win T20I series as injury rules out Fakhar Zaman for ODIs
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan beat the West Indies 2-1 to register yet another T20I series victory over the hosts, with the Green Shirts suffering a setback as injury ruled out left-handed batter Fakhar Zaman from the upcoming ODI series. Hassan Nawaz scored 15 runs from seven balls. In response, West Indies were able to score 176/6 at the end of 20 overs, falling 13 runs short of the target. Alick Athanaze scored 60 off 40 balls while Sherfane Rutherford made 51 from 35 balls to give the West Indies a chance. There was some setback for Pakistan after Zaman was ruled out of the West Indies third T20I and upcoming ODI series when he suffered a hamstring injury, the PCB said. According to the PCB, Zaman picked up the injury during the 19th over of the second T20I against the West Indies while chasing the ball in the outfield. The board said upon medical assessment, it was determined to be a mild strain. It said the aggressive batter had been provided immediate treatment by the team's medical staff. 'Fakhar will return to Pakistan on the evening of August 4 and will continue his rehabilitation under the supervision of the PCB medical team at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore,' the PCB said. Zaman has not fare impressively in the West Indies series, managing scores of 28 and 20 during the first two T20Is. The batter got off to good starts but managed to convert his innings into half-centuries or decisive knocks. The batter is a crucial white-ball cricketer for Pakistan, who has gotten them off to dangerous starts in ODIs and T20 formats. Zaman was ruled out of this year's Champions Trophy tournament after he suffered an oblique injury while in pursuit of a cover drive as Pakistan played against New Zealand in their opening match of the tournament. Pakistan and the West Indies kicked off their T20I series last week. After winning the opening match against the hosts, the Green Shirts lost the second match at the last ball before winning the last encounter to take the series home 2-1. Both teams will play a three-match ODI series starting from August 8 and ending on August 12. All three matches will take place in Trinidad.
