Yahoo17-03-2025

The iHeartRadio Music Awards are almost here.
This year's edition will be hosted by LL Cool J, who is returning for the second time to host the show that will recognize the most-played artists and songs on iHeartRadio stations throughout 2024.
Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar are among those up for awards, with Mariah Carey, Nelly and Lady Gaga each set to receive special honors. Billie Eilish, GloRilla and Kenny Chesney are among the hitmakers who will perform during the telecast.
This year's ceremony will also pay tribute to Los Angeles after devastating wildfires impacted the area in January by driving donations to Fireaidla.org, the effort established in the disaster's aftermath to benefit short-term relief efforts and long-term initiatives to prevent future fires.
Here's everything you need to know about how to watch on the iHeartRadio Music Awards:
The awards will air live on FOX at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Monday, March 17. The event will be broadcast live across iHeartRadio stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio app.
Morgan Wallen and Swift lead the nominations with 10 each, with Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone and Sabrina Carpenter close behind with nine nods apiece.
Several other artists including Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Benson Boone, Shaboozey, SZA, Peso Pluma, Tyla, Usher and more all earned multiple nods across different categories.
Travis Kelce and Swift were nominated in the fan-voted category for favorite surprise guest, and Roan was nominated for favorite tour tradition for her 'Hot To Go' dance. Several other iHeartRadio Award categories are fan-voted, including favorite soundtrack, favorite tour style, best music video and best lyrics, among others.
Swift is set to receive a brand new award for Tour of the Century, which will recognize her record-breaking Eras Tour. The tour debuted exactly two years ago on the date of the telecast, a milestone that will be marked during the ceremony with an 'exclusive performance' from the Eras Tour's opening night, according to a news release.
Lady Gaga is scheduled to receive the Innovator Award, while Carey will be honored with the Icon Award and Nelly will receive the Landmark Award, honoring his decades-long career and impact.
Hip-hop legend and actor LL Cool J is set to return as host for the second time after making his hosting debut in 2022.
'Excited to be back on the iHeartRadio stage to host this year's awards,' he said in a statement. 'It's going to be a night to remember – big energy, iconic moments and special collaborations you won't want to miss.'
Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish, GloRilla, Gracie Abrams, Kenny Chesney, Muni Long and Nelly are all set to take the stage on Monday.

Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift Moving from ‘Vacation Mode' to Minicamp

Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift Moving from 'Vacation Mode' to Minicamp originally appeared on Athlon Sports. A shroud of uncertainty surrounded Travis Kelce following the Kansas City Chiefs' embarrassing loss in Super Bowl LIX. Many anticipated the future Hall of Fame tight end retiring from football had the Chiefs won and made history with a "three-peat." Advertisement Unfortunately, that was not the case and he declined to provide any clarity on his future postgame. It has since been revealed that he will suit up for one more season, taking on a farewell tour with the Chiefs. But part of his brief absence from the spotlight had to do simply with getting away. He and his girlfriend, pop music megastar Taylor Swift, wanted some time to escape together. Swift had just finished her worldwide Eras Tour and Kelce completed another grueling and lengthy season. The NFL's biggest power couple have gotten their time together, enjoying life without cameras or critics following their every step. The latest of their offseason fun came Wednesday night when the couple was seen heading to dinner, enjoying the night together in Florida. Advertisement Surely the two will be up for more adventures in the future, but the time of the offseason is winding down. Kelce is not in the grind of the season just yet, but the Chiefs have some key dates coming up on the calendar. Mandatory minicamp begins next week for Kansas City, just over a month out from training camp set to begin on July 21. Before too long, No. 87 will be back on the field for his final campaign. And with the relationship still going strong, fans should expect to see Swift watching from a luxury suite per usual, cheering on her beau with friends and family gathered around. Jodie Sweetin says Dave Coulier sent 'horrifying' 'Full House' AI image to costars: 'I didn't get it'

Dave Coulier is keeping that Uncle Joey spirit alive and well in the Full House cast group chat. Jodie Sweetin revealed that Coulier likes to liven things up via group text much like his character livened things up in the Tanner household during the beloved sitcom's run in the '90s. Most recently, the comedian shared an AI-generated photo of the cast as "goths," which Sweetin told PEOPLE was "horrifying" at first. "Like, aged-down goths. And for some reason, there was a Kourtney Kardashian lookalike in there who was supposed to be Becky," she added of the character played by Lori Loughlin. 'But me and the Olsen twins were the same age, except for Mary-Kate, who actually looked like she does today." Sweetin explained that the late Bob Saget, who played beloved patriarch Danny Tanner, was also in the image depicted as Geddy Lee, the lead singer of Rush. "It was just a very, very strange thing. Dave made a joke. I didn't get it," Sweetin said, adding that she eventually understood. "I was like, 'Oh, sorry actually, the joke was great.'" The reveal that the Full House cast keeps an active group chat alive came right before several cast members reunited for iHeartRadio's How Rude, Tanneritos! Wedding Special live event. Sweetin and her podcast cohost and castmate Andrea Barber hosted the Sunday event that saw former costars Loughlin, John Stamos, Scott Weinger, and Marla Sokoloff reflect on their time on the show. The event marked one of the handful of times the show's cast members have reunited since Saget died in 2022 from head trauma after accidentally hitting his head in a Grande Lakes, Fla., hotel room. Coulier was among the stars missing from the reunion, as were Sweetin's TV sisters, Candace Cameron Bure, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. While Coulier couldn't make the live event, he has made an appearance on the How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast before. In April, he opened up to Sweetin and Barber about learning that he'd beaten stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma and that his son, Luc, and daughter-in-law, Alex, had welcomed their first child together on the very same day. "I got the good news the day the baby was born," Coulier told his former castmates. "So I heard the news and I was so excited, and then Luc called us and he said, 'Hey, the baby just was born.' And so, I mean, it was an amazing day." Coulier noted that Luc and Alex welcomed a "healthy, great little baby" named Chance Lee. "He's 7 pounds, 6 ounces, and we will see him, I think, in 12 days," he added. "Because we're in Michigan and they're out in Sacramento."The comedian also recalled feeling like he'd accidentally "killed the moment" after delivering a real stinker of a joke in the family group chat following the announcement of Chance's birth. "I said to my son — everybody was teary-eyed and everything and [was] texting when the baby was born — and I said, 'I cannot wait to see that kid's expression on his face after he pulls my finger for the first time,'" Coulier recalled. "And there was just like, no one responded. It's like, 'Okay. I killed the moment.'" Thankfully, he explained that Luc messaged him back a few minutes later, telling him, "I just got that." Alex Rodriguez has bittersweet reaction to Pete Rose's Hall of Fame eligibility

Pete Rose may finally be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2028. December 2027 is the first time MLB's all-time hits leader will officially be considered for a plaque in Cooperstown after Major League Baseball announced last month that those on the game's ineligible list are taken off after they die. The Hall ruled in 1991 that it would follow MLB's ineligible list and not consider anyone on it. Now that Rose is off, he is eligible for induction through the Hall's Classic Era Committee, which does not meet for another 2½ years. If and when Rose gets in, he will not be there to celebrate it. He died in September at the age of 83. For Alex Rodriguez, who has a compelling Cooperstown case of his own, it's bittersweet. "It makes me happy and sad at the same time because Pete was such a friend, and I know that his heart ached a lot because he wasn't in," Rodriguez, who worked with Rose at FOX, said in a recent interview with Fox News Digital. "I wish more than anything that that could have been done while he was alive. "You know, I always say that eulogies should be done when you're living, not when you're dead, because some of the nicest things about people are never heard by the principal. But, you know, hopefully his family enjoys it, and I know that he's somewhere watching it. And I hope that he's happy and proud. We are, certainly." The former New York Yankees star, though, isn't focused on whether the argument for Rose would eventually help his own cause, considering his performance-enhancing drug involvement. "It's not my argument to fight. I'm just trying to do the best I can with my life and the back nine of my life and trying to do things the right way. I've learned from my mistakes. I've moved on. I hope to get in one day, but, again, I think I'll let other people fight that fight for me," he said. Rose admitted to gambling in 2004 after years of claiming his innocence. He died in September and predicted 10 days before his death he would not make the Hall of Fame until after he died, if at all. It was determined that Rose gambled on the Reds, only to win, while he was both a manager and a player. It was reported more recently, though, that Rose also gambled on baseball before he became a manager. He was ruled ineligible in 1989 and was never reinstated while he was alive despite numerous attempts.
