Prince Harry's latest move branded 'ironic' after sharing hopes to reconcile with Royals

A reported decision by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to launch their own household has been branded an ironic, but vital step towards some form of public rehabilitation, especially in the UK.
It was reported last week that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had decided to create their own version of the 'royal' household as they continue their fresh start in the USA.
This development involves a reshuffle of their core team to resemble the Royal staffing hierarchy, which was familiar to Harry during his time as a senior Royal.
The revamped 11-strong squad will be led by communications ace Meredith Kendall Maines and operate independently from their non-profit venture, Archewell.
Speculation ties this shift to Prince Harry's desire to heal fractured ties with the Royal Family, as aired in his revealing interview with the BBC's Nada Tawfik earlier in the year.
In that interview, he told Tawfik: "There have been so many disagreements, differences, between me and some of my family.
"This current situation that has been now ongoing for five years with regard to human life and safety is the sticking point. It is the only thing that's left. Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book.
"Of course they will never forgive me for lots of things. But you know, there is... I would love reconciliation with my family. I've always, you know, there's no point in continuing to fight anymore."
Alongside expressing a wish to reconcile with his family, Prince Harry has been making regular trips back to the UK, most notably to visit King Charles following his cancer diagnosis last year.
In addition, the Invictus Games, founded by Harry, will be returning to the UK in 2027, taking place in Birmingham.
Alongside the return of the Invictus Games to British soil, Harry is also on the cusp of launching his own commercial venture.
This has led to speculation that these moves are part of a strategy to improve his image in the UK ahead of the event in two years' time, particularly after a YouGov poll revealed only 27 percent of Britons hold a positive view of him.
It has been suggested that Harry may have been inspired by the redemption experienced by Queen Camilla in the early-2000s, which has seen her become one of the most cherished members of the Royal Family.
Commenting on the decision to launch a 'royal' style household, expert Charlotte Griffiths suggests that this could be a response to Harry's desire to replicate the structure he has lost.
In the Mail, she wrote: "How ironic that Harry now favours the rigid hierarchical structure of the kind he has consistently railed against since 'escaping' Kensington Palace.
"Sometimes the grass isn't always greener, even if it is a manicured seven-acre lawn in exclusive Montecito. After all, a royal household is all he's ever known."
The potential for reconciliation between Harry and the rest of the Royal Family has been a topic of much speculation, with Channel 5's documentary 'Harry: Can He Ever Be Forgiven?' delving into the matter.
Royal commentator Countess Julie Montagu shared her thoughts in the documentary, suggesting that Harry must initiate the healing process.
Ms. Montagu commented: "The public wants to forgive, but it needs to start with Harry. Number one, stop any kind of interview where you're mentioning any member of your family - end of story.
"And then number two, if you really want to make that reconciliation, whether that's private or public, start that. Once that reconciliation begins, then the public can be made aware of that."
While Prince Harry might be considering how to mend fences, other Royal experts, like Jennie Bond, have voiced concerns that his rift with Prince William could be permanent.
Speaking to the Mirror, Jennie discussed the possibility that William may never bridge the gap with Harry.
She said: "William may remain estranged from his brother forever, even though this would be a very sad state of affairs.
"But, if he does, I think he will continue to regard Harry simply as irrelevant to his life and to this country. And I don't think he would trouble himself with taking away either of their titles."

Glastonbury ticket sales cut for 2025 to ease overcrowding, says Emily Eavis
The music festival, which usually has capacity for 210,000 people, is returning later this month, with British pop band The 1975, folk star Neil Young and his band the Chrome Hearts, and US pop singer Olivia Rodrigo topping the bill. In an appearance on the Sidetracked podcast Eavis, 45, outlined the changes that have been made to this year's festival and said music area Shangri-La is 'going full trees and green space' which is 'completely the opposite to anything they've done in the past'. She also revealed that the festival has managed to buy some land that sits 'just on the outside of the site', which will be used for crew members. She added: 'We've also sold a few thousand less tickets, so it will be interesting just to see how that affects the dynamics on site.' The first group of tickets for the event sold out in 30 minutes last November, with the second lot selling out in fewer than 40. Eavis said times have changed, adding: 'There were years where you just couldn't sell out, you just couldn't give them (the tickets) away.' Glastonbury is running from June 25 to June 29 this year with performances from the likes of US rapper Doechii, UK singer Raye and veteran rocker Sir Rod Stewart, who will be playing during the coveted legends slot. Also performing is Irish rap trio Kneecap, US star Gracie Abrams and alternative pop singer Charli XCX. The line-up features a number of acts listed as TBA, as well as a mysterious act called Patchwork, who will take to the Pyramid Stage on Saturday. Careful not to draw speculation as to who the act could be, Eavis said: 'I've been working on Patchwork for a long time.' She also said that planning for their appearance had taken about a year for 'logistical' reasons. Also at the festival, presenters Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw will take to the BBC Introducing stage on June 26 for a live episode of Sidetracked.

Say can you see an American in the Love Island villa? Well, for the first time in show history, someone from across the pond is set to enter the iconic villa as a bombshell. ITV has revealed that Toni from Sin City (Las Vegas) is set to arrive in the villa and she will have the power to steal one of the boys straight away. It is set to make the live launch even more dramatic than ever - as promised by CEO of Love, Maya Jama. We stayed in King's Cross and it was gorgeous. It's so diverse. Literally people from everywhere.' American bombshell Toni entering Love Island villa. | ITV Addressing why she had signed up for the British version of the Love Island, Toni said: 'I've lived in three different states and I'm still single. It's time to try something new! 'I have some British friends and they're pretty charming. I think all Americans love a good accent. British men are just more polite, with better manners.' She told ITV that she is looking for: 'Someone that can make me laugh - I'm super outgoing. And someone that's quite active. Maybe one day we could start our own family together.' Love Island star spent over £2,000 on clothes before entering villa
EXCLUSIVE: Love Island star Shakira Khan has spent a huge amount of clothes, beauty products and other essentials to ensure she's villa-ready - and has opened up about her thoughts on sex in the villa Love Island's Shakira Khan, 22, has lit up the villa as the 12th series kicks off with the usual mix of drama, romance, and jaw-dropping twists. But before the cameras start rolling, Shakira's been busy preparing in true style - dropping over £2,000 on clothes, beauty must-haves, and other essentials to ensure she's villa-ready from day one. 'I wasn't messing about,' she tells us exclusively. 'I've got three suitcases packed with everything I might need. I even bought things last year just in case.' Clearly, this isn't Shakira's first rodeo when it comes to being camera-ready, and she's pulling out all the stops to make an impact. Away from the glitz and glamour, Shakira's real-life job is as a children's entertainer, specialising in kids' parties dressed as Disney princesses. Asked which princess she relates to most, she's quick to pick Princess Jasmine: 'She's rebellious, strong, knows what she wants, and she's adventurous - definitely Jasmine.' Her career has also seen her rubbing shoulders with some pretty high-profile clients. 'I've hosted parties for Premier League footballers, reality stars, and other big names,' Shakira admits. 'Can't say who, though - NDAs and all that! But trust me, we've seen some big houses.' Glow-boosting Liz Earle set that leaves skin 'dewy and refreshed' is slashed by £28 With ITV confirming they'll show any villa sex scenes this year, we couldn't resist asking Shakira about her stance on intimacy in the villa. 'I've talked to my mum and dad about it - it's a big no-no,' she says firmly. 'Personally, I wouldn't do it anyway. Eight weeks isn't that long for me.' Love Island fans, get ready. Shakira's arrival promises plenty of fun, fierce energy, and maybe a little bit of drama - but when it comes to love, she's playing it cool. But playing it cool could lead to heartbreak as a new bombshell arrives in tonight's episode. One Love Island star has already been dumped from the villa before the show even airs. Those tuning in this evening will see a cruel twist as one Islander is sent packing - just moments after arriving in the villa. It has been revealed that one girl will be sent packing this evening after the instant arrival of a bombshell. Just yesterday, it was announced that Toni - a VIP waitress who works in one of Las Vegas' fancy hotels - would be entering the villa. Asked what she was looking for, she said she needed "someone that can make me laugh - I'm super outgoing. And someone that's quite active. Maybe one day we could start our own family together. "It's time to try something new! I have some British friends and they're pretty charming. I think all Americans love a good accent. British men are just more polite, with better manners." Now, her arrival will mean that one of the initial Love Island stars will be axed within hours of arriving. With filming already underway, the person has been sent packing from the villa - with it set to air this evening during the launch show. "This girl will be sorely missed as was already proving to be a big character. The was absolutely gutted to leave. But the series has twists and turns at every stage and this isn't the usual dumping viewers might expect after a bombshell arrives," a source told The Sun. "Executive producer Mike Spencer-Hayter has promised drama for the tenth anniversary and this format point will not disappoint." Love Island 2025 begins tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
