Adam Sandler is back as the titular character, but this time he has assembled an incredible list of stars to join him. The movie landed on streaming on Friday (July 25) - just in time for the weekend.
Having dived in to watch it myself - counting the original as among my childhood favourites - I have decided to rank all of the celebrity appearances in the movie. The list goes from worst to best, based on my own enjoyment, and includes a very surprising number one!

Where was Wednesday filmed? Season 2 of Netflix show's filming locations revealed
Wednesday season 2 has now been released on Netflix and the new episodes were not shot in Romania. Wednesday, one of Netflix 's most successful shows to date, has made a triumphant return today with the first part of its second season. The show's stunning visuals and breathtaking sets have already sparked curiosity among fans about where the second season was filmed - a location completely different from the first season. The inaugural season of the supernatural series, starring Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, was fittingly shot in Romania, famously known as Dracula's homeland. However, due to various reported 'logistical challenges' during filming, Wednesday has since relocated. Tim Burton's gothic series, featuring stars such as Catherine Zeta-Jones and Fred Armisen, has returned for a second season in a drastically different setting, reports the Express. Where was Wednesday season 2 filmed? For the second season of the Netflix series, showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar reportedly chose Ireland, an obvious choice given its gothic castles and dark forests. While Cantacuzino Castle in Romania served as the famous Nevermore Academy in the first season, the production turned to Charleville Castle in County Offaly, central Ireland, for its new location. Dublin locals might also recognise Willow Hill Psychiatric Facility, where Tyler Galpin (played by Hunter Doohan) is being held, as it was filmed at Clonliffe College. Furthermore, Dublin's Trinity College was also cleverly transformed to resemble Newark Airport in the opening episode of season 2, whilst Wednesday's encounter with sinister serial killer the Kansas City Scalper (Haley Joel Osment) at his residence was filmed at a housing development in the County Wicklow town of Newcastle. County Wicklow's Ashford Studios also supplied numerous interior scenes for the programme, including Nevermore Academy's Founders Pyre and the internal shots of Willow Hill and Rotwood Cottage. Furthermore, Camp Jericho and Nevermore Cemetery were constructed at a stunning 18th century estate renowned for its gardens called Powerscourt House. The 2017 film Little Women and other acclaimed productions such as Laurence Olivier's Henry V and Excalibur have similarly been filmed on the estate's grounds. Acknowledging this cinematic achievement, Taoiseach Simon Harris marked the occasion by visiting the set. There, he held discussions with the programme's creators, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, alongside series director Tim Burton. The politician remarked: "I'm delighted to see Ireland continues to be chosen as a location to film series and movies which supports our economy, creates jobs, showcases our creative talents and promotes our country on a global stage. "Ireland has long been a home for MGM Television productions from the original Vikings in 2012, to Vikings: Valhalla, and now Wednesday," Lindsay Sloane, Head of MGM Television, added. "We have found resources in Ireland to be top notch and an incredibly skilled group of professionals and apprentices that help bring our productions to life." Sofia Carson's My Oxford Year hair hero revealed– the 'everywhere' balm behind her shine
Maybe she's born with it, or maybe it's Jones Road's multi-tasking hero... No spoilers, but if you've seen My Oxford Year, or at the very least some teasers of it on Netflix, you'll know two things: just how devastating the plot it, and just how incredible Sofia Carson looks. Playing the American post-grad student Anna De La Vega, Sofia, 32, has quickly shot up to style icon status thanks to the looks her character served. But away from her preppy knits and expansive winter jacket wardrobe, the actress shone in one other department that had nothing to do with her wardrobe: her hair. We spent the whole 1h53 minutes desperately Googling to find out exactly what was used on Sofia's hair on the set to give her that mirror-like shine, and we finally have the intel. Hair pro Rebekah Forecast, who did the make-up for My Oxford Year, quietly dropped a full list of everything she used on Sofia's hair, and we've pinpointed Jones Road's Everywhere Balm Hippie Stick, £36, as the product behind her shiny tresses. Think of it less as a secret weapon and more as a Swiss army knife. This slip-on-the-go multi-use balm can literally be used from forehead to heels (and yes, hair too). Another product that is definitely premium, but also gives premium results. The fact that Rebekah uses a range of fine sprays and volume-boosting products tells us that Sofia might actually have quite fine hair, which makes the styles she boasted for the Netflix movie all the more impressive. If even fine-haired girls can get shine and volume like that, without strands looking greasy, they're products we want for ourselves.

Netflix's Wednesday viewers make same complaint as season two makes huge change
Wednesday Addams, played by lead Jenna Ortega, is back for another year at Nevermore Academy in the second season of the Netflix show, which has returned this week The new season of Wednesday has launched on Netflix this week but not everyone is impressed. Fans have waited close to three years for more episodes and some viewers have now complained over one aspect of the TV show's return. Jenna Ortega is back in the role of Wednesday Addams for the second season, which promises a "darker and more complex" journey for the Nevermore Academy student. It's teased that she has to navigate "old adversaries" whilst "plunged" in a "new bone-chilling supernatural mystery". Wednesday debuted on the streaming platform with its first season, which consisted of eight episodes, in 2022. Today, the first part of its second season was released, featuring four episodes. Part two, which will have the remaining four episodes of the season, is due to be released next month. A number of fans have expressed disappointment over the decision to divide the season into two parts. Wednesday follows in the footsteps of various other shows like Stranger Things and You, which have also released split seasons. One fan wrote on X: "The new season of Wednesday is not even complete? @Netflix you are a joke." Another said: "Why do they always have to split it into two parts?!" A third wrote: "So we waited this long for only 4 episodes? P***take." Someone else said: "The new season of #Wednesday is split in two parts? Seriously #Netflix. This is the worst business model. One episode a week or whole season at once. Those are the only acceptable options. You'll get crap numbers for this cause people will wait to binge. Not good enough." Another fan complained: "So we had to wait 3yrs for 4 new episodes to drop of #Wednesday on @netflix I fcking hate streaming." One viewer said following the release today: "Wtf is wrong with Netflix ?? Just 4 episodes ?? Really ????" Whilst someone wrote: "Why would Netflix split up season 2 of Wednesday into two parts? Why are we constantly doing stupid unnecessary releases like I just want to go back to a sense of normalcy. I'm about to stop giving a f*** and just watch shows on NBC and CBS. I can't do this anymore." Others suggested they will wait for the entire season. One wrote: "I'm not watching Wednesday until part two come out. I hate this parts s***." Another said: "Only 4 episodes of Wednesday .... imma just wait for part 2 this ridiculous." As previously reported by Deadline, whilst speaking about splitting seasons of its shows in January, Netflix's chief content officer Bela Bajaria said that some content had been split for "reasons" such as to avoid audiences waiting too long if the pandemic or strikes affected production, whilst others are "creator-driven," including if those behind a show felt that there was a "natural emotional break". Bela added: "So there's no set way, it depends on what's best for the show." Despite the complaints over the decision to split the second season, many fans have expressed excitement over the show's return. It's included viewers sharing compliments over the four episodes included in the first part. One person wrote: "Just finished first 4 episodes of #Wednesday S02 and trust me the show had become more interesting in this season, can't wait for the next episodes." They concluded: "Totally loved it. 10/10 from my side." Another said: "These 4 episodes of #Wednesday season 2 are amazing!!" Someone else commented earlier: "A fantastic start to Season 2! September feels [too] far away." A fourth wrote: "I've watched Wednesday, can't wait for part 2 next month!" The second season has also been met with a Rotten Tomatoes score of 84% from critics following almost 50 reviews, making it Certified Fresh - a title given to the "best-reviewed" content that fulfils certain requirements. The season also has a score of 83% from audiences. By comparison, the first season has 73% from critics and 85% from fans. Part one of Wednesday's second season is available on Netflix now. Part two, featuring the remaining four episodes, is scheduled to be released on September 3.
