David Beckham reveals he took secret fishing trip away with youngest sons Cruz and Romeo to celebrate his 50th in pointed social media post - and there's no sign of Brooklyn AGAIN

Daily Mail05-05-2025

has revealed he took his sons Cruz and Romeo away on a secret camping and fishing trip without their brother Brooklyn last week.
The former pro footballer, who turned 50 last week, revealed that he planned the holiday six months ago with his sons and shared an insight into the trip.
While David did not reveal whether Brooklyn, 26, had been originally asked on the boys trip - he chose not to attend the holiday or any other birthday events.
It was exclusively reported over the weekend that their son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, failed to attend any of the events hosted by the family, with the reason behind their fallout revealed here by Mail+.
In what appeared to be a pointed jibe at Brooklyn's absence, David wrote 'dinner for three', as the family tucked into a freshly-caught dinner of scallops and lobster.
The father of four revealed that they had caught their dinner just three hours earlier on the technology-free trip where their mobile phones were banned.
Beaming beside his less than impressed sons, David wrote: 'Last time boys were allowed to use their phones. Not so happy about it.'
In another shot, David held up a net full of scallops which he said were ready to be cooked on the fire.
Sharing photos of them having dinner, proud dad David showed his sons preparing the seafood before cooking it on a BBQ outside.
Clearly impressed with the results, he said: 'Doesn't get any fresher than this.'
As well as revealing what they ate, David also posted videos of their very basic accommodation.
He joked that his son Romeo wasn't happy with their lodging, which was a far cry from their selection of multi million pound properties.
As well as the lads trip, Brooklyn also missed out on David's early celebrations in Miami last month as well as parties in the Cotswolds, France and London this week.
On Saturday, the family celebrated with A-list pals including Tom Cruise and David's former teammates at three Michelin-star Core in Kensington, West London.
But as the party continued at the restaurant into the early hours, neighbours complained leading to a visit from two council officers at 3:35am.
An onlooker told The Sun: 'David's party really went off and the longer time went on, the louder the music seemed to get.
'Some neighbours weren't very happy when it was still so loud at 2am and leaned out windows to see where the racket was from.'
Kensington and Chelsea Council told MailOnline that advice was given to minimise disruption and onlookers revealed that the music stopped immediately.
They said: 'We have a very responsive and professional team who investigate noise complaints and take action where necessary.
'Usually, and in this case, that means issuing some advice at a location, so disruption is kept to a minimum for residents living nearby.'
Representatives for the Beckhams have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.
Meanwhile Romeo Beckham stepped up in older brother Brooklyn's absence as he delivered a speech at the Saturday night dinner.
David and wife Victoria were joined by three of their children, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and 13-year-old Harper - however their eldest, Brooklyn, 25, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, were absent from all of the events.
And in Brooklyn's absence Romeo, as the second oldest child, made sure to make his dad's birthday special and delivered the speech to the Manchester United stars closest friends and family.
Romeo could be seen clutching several cue cards in his hand as he arrived at the London venue on Saturday and was also seen holding a key role at Wednesday night's bash, held at the Beckham family's Cotswolds home, with a snap showing him proudly carrying candlelit cupcakes to the table.
Romeo reportedly told guests: 'Good evening everyone. I would like to start by thanking you all for being here tonight. I know without many of you in here tonight he wouldn't be half of the man he is today. But to the man of the moment...'
Victoria, 50, has shared an insight into David's lavish celebrations by sharing a gallery of photographs on her Instagram page on Sunday evening.
Gushing over the almost week-long celebration, Victoria told her followers she has been 'creating special memories with family and friends'.
The week kicked off with an intimate dinner at their Cotswolds pile on Wednesday evening, where they dined with close family and partners.
A glimpse at the night shows the Beckham clan dressed up in their finery to honour the big day, with dashing David sporting a sharp black tuxedo.
Fashion designer Victoria wore one of her own brand dresses, a strappy silk navy slip dress that touched the floor as she posed beside her beloved husband.
The couple, who have been married since 1999, posed for one photo perched on the bonnet of a vintage 1972 Fiat 500.
The car may have been an early birthday present for the footballing legend, who previously drove around Italy with his sons in one of the cars last year.
The couple were joined by three of their children, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and 13-year-old Harper - however their eldest, Brooklyn, 25, was absent from all of the events.
While each of her three youngest children were tagged in the caption of the social media photo album, she skipped Brooklyn despite usually writing something along the lines of 'missing you @brooklynbeckham' on previous occasions.
David reposted many of his wife's photos, and, perhaps tellingly, wrote in one caption: 'I love you all, thank you for making my birthday so memorable,' also failing to mention his eldest son.
It was revealed exclusively by Mail+ this weekend that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, had skipped all of the events hosted by the family, leaving his parents heartbroken over the decision.
The attending members of the family gathered together from some seriously stylish snaps in the grounds of their £12million manor.
Harper wore a similar dress to her mother, while her two brothers mimicked David in sharp suits for the swanky occasion.
David's mother and father, Sandra and Ted, joined the family for another group snap against the stunning backdrop of the countryside evening.
A rare snap from inside the incredible home showed the family sat down around a huge dinner table together, with David and Victoria leaning over to share a kiss.

Belfast eatery named ‘best restaurant in NI' and ranked among top 100 in UK awards

©Evening Standard The Muddlers Club in Belfast has been named one of the UK's 100 best restaurants – for the second year running. The restaurant in the Cathedral Quarter was placed number 76 on the list of the best places to dine in the UK in the National Restaurant Awards (NRAs). It was also named as the Best Restaurant in Northern Ireland. The Michelin starred restaurant led by chef Gareth McCaughey, is tucked away between Waring Street & Exchange Place in the city with a focus on modern dining using local produce. Meanwhile, The Ritz in London was named the UK's best restaurant at the National Restaurant Awards. Four months after executive chef John Williams steered the restaurant to two Michelin stars — many believed the accolade to be long overdue — the glamorous Mayfair dining room has climbed to the top of the list for the first time. Founded in 1906, the restaurant predates the title behind the awards, Restaurant magazine, by almost a century. It is arguably London's most glamorous place to dine and serves a menu of French haute cuisine, inspired in part by the dishes of the legendary Auguste Escoffier. It is also now the only one where men must wear a jacket and tie, while women are asked to arrive in evening wear. 'As a bastion of fine French food served in unashamedly refined surroundings, the Ritz stands alone in the UK,' said Restaurant editor Stefan Chomka. 'The top 100 restaurants list reflects the diverse nature of our eating out scene and the changing trends within it, whether they be less formality, more farm to fork menus, or embracing new cuisines, but it's also wonderful to see a restaurant unwavering in its focus finally get the recognition it merits. The Ritz is an exemplary restaurant.' Watch: Popular Belfast entry gets insta-worthy summer makeover In second place this year is Mark Birchall's Moor Hall in Lancashire, the most recent restaurant in the UK to be awarded three Michelin stars. In third place is the Ledbury, which was last year's winner. The list shows the continuation of the capital's dominance in the country's dining scene, with a total of 56 restaurants from London in the top 100 list. Other big London winners include Trinity (4), Bouchon Racine (5), Oma (6), Anglothai (7) and Dorian (10). The restaurateur of the year was named as David Carter, the man behind Oma, 2025's highest new entry, and Agora, the more casual restaurant below it, which is at 51. Restaurant group Super8's continued success is reflected in the list, with Mountain at number 11, Kiln at 13, and Brat at 54 — meaning only one of their operations, Smoking Goat, did not make the cut. Claude Bosi, meanwhile, achieved similar success with Bibendum re-entering the list at 39; his restaurant at the Peninsula hotel, Brooklands, made 20, and Chelsea's Josephine — formerly Josephine Bouchon — was announced at number 23. Bosi owns the latter with his wife Lucy. A restaurant now closed also features on the list: Lyle's, James Lowe's former restaurant in Shoreditch that ran for 11 years, sits in 21st place. Skye Gyngell, the Aussie chef behind Spring at Somerset House, was given the lifetime achievement award, recognising her contribution not just to the British culinary scene but also her work tapping into the confluence of food and culture, all the while overcoming a battle with rare skin cancer. The winners were announced at a lively ceremony at Magazine London in Greenwich on June 9. Victoria Beckham ready to 'fight back' as Nicola forms alliance with Meghan

Victoria Beckham is reportedly ready to 'fight back' as her son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz grow closer to Meghan Markle amid the bitter family feud Fashion designer Victoria Beckham has reportedly been left shaken over Nicola Peltz and Meghan Markle's budding friendship. The former Spice Girl is said to be ready to "fight back hard" as the bitter family feud rumbles on. Victoria and David Beckham have been left heartbroken over recent weeks as their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola continue to distance themselves from the family. Rumours of Beckham-Peltz fallout emerged in April when Brooklyn and Nicola snubbed David's 50th birthday celebrations and things have only got worse since. ‌ Amid the drama, Meghan Markle is reportedly eager to strengthen her bond with billionaire heiress Nicola, as she and Prince Harry aim to form a 'US Fab Four' with Nicola and Brooklyn. ‌ A source confided to Closer magazine about the burgeoning friendship: "The Sussexes are looking to really build on this friendship, and all of them see huge potential for it to evolve into a 'US Fab Four'." "Creating this new power alliance is a big slap in the face for David, Victoria and the royals – but the four have zero qualms or regrets about that because they all feel like they've been so badly wronged." Not only have Brooklyn and Nicola buddied up with Meghan and Harry, but the pair have also hired the same lawyer as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It's now been claimed that Victoria's patience has finally worn thin with her son and daughter-in-law and she is reportedly ready to fire back. "Vic is well aware of how well Nicola and Meghan have been getting on recently. It's more than a little annoying, but mostly she finds the whole situation quite sad. She's not going to take the bait - but if they want a war, she's ready to fight back. She won't tolerate their games, but ultimately, she's more concerned about rebuilding her relationship with Brooklyn." ‌ The insider goes on to tell Heat magazine that Victoria is "100% secure in herself" and is unbothered by Nicola and Meghan's possible "scheming" as she knows she is a powerful player in her own right." The Mirror has approached Victoria for comment on this story. Victoria isn't the only one in her family having a rocky time with the former royals. The relationship between David and Prince Harry is reportedly strained, with the Duke of Sussex having previously asked David to serve as an ambassador for the Invictus Games. ‌ However, it was alleged that Harry didn't see David at the Sydney event in 2018, and rumours circulated that Harry was keeping his friend at a distance due to Meghan's concerns about Victoria leaking stories about her. It was later reported that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola were guests at a dinner party at Meghan and Harry's Montecito mansion just days after Brooklyn missed his father David's 50th birthday celebrations in London. Sources claimed the invitation was "unexpected", but it was gratefully accepted by the couple who felt "battle-wounded" from the family feud with the Beckhams. Meanwhile, Victoria and David are said to have "shuddered in horror" over this "new friendship".
