Nicola Peltz and her in-laws closer than ever amid tense Beckham family rift
Much has been made of the tense fallout between Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham against his family. The couple married in a lavish ceremony in 2022 under happier times, with all of 26-year-old Brooklyn's family present and correct at the nuptials.
But soon after, rumours began to emerge of a rift between the couple and his famous parents; the former footballer David Beckham, 50, and former Spice Girls singer Victoria Beckham, 51. More recently, family dramas reached a new peak as speculation erupted that Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, had fallen out with his brothers Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20 - while many fans noticed the couple seemingly snubbed David's 50th birthday celebrations.
While the dramatic fallout continues to generate headlines, some fans have questioned how Nicola gets on with her other in-laws. As the daughter of billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz, 83, and his model wife Claudia Heffner Peltz, 70, the Transformer star is one of eight siblings.
She is the sister of brothers Matthew, 40, Will, 39, Brad, 35, Diesel, 27, twins Zachary and Gregory, 22, and a sister named Brittany, 31. With her brothers and sister also enjoying high-profile romances, it is claimed that Nicola gets along much better with her side of the family than with the Beckham clan.
Here we look at Nicola and Brooklyn's friendships with some of her extended family.
Will Peltz and fiancée Kenya Jones
TV and film fans may recognise Nicola's older brother Will, 39, who has starred in big and small screen dramas including Men, Women & Children, Entourage, and Euphoria. Where there has been no drama, however, is between Will, his fiancée, and his younger sister.
He has been in a relationship with American fashion model Kenya Kinski-Jones since 2011 - and in recent weeks they became engaged. They shared the happy news on social media, with Kenya writing: "Just engaged. My whole heart for my whole life," with Nicola enthusiastically adding: "Best news ever!"
It is believed Nicola - who has a matching tattoo with Will which reads "family" in Hebrew - and Kenya are very close friends. They attended The Daily Front Row Fashion Los Angeles Awards in 2016 and have holidayed together, along with Brooklyn and Will in 2022.
In 2024, when Kenya's father Quincy Jones died at the age of 91, Nicola was one to offer her condolences. In an emotional Instagram post, she wrote: "Quincy, my heart is shattered I can't comprehend saying goodbye to you so I won't, I will say see you later."
Nicola continued: "You were truly a gift from God. The legacy you have left here on earth is not only your musical genius that has touched the hearts of millions of people, but the most beautiful children that you raised - the Jones family, my family - I am so beyond grateful to know them. Quincy, I can't believe I got lucky enough in this life to grow up knowing your love, wisdom, laughter and light. The twinkle in your eye perfectly matched your smile and lit up this world. Your humour was unmatched, and you made me laugh more than anything. I miss laughing with you.
"I love you so much q I will miss you every single day and everyday I will be reminded of your beauty through your unbelievable children. I promise to look out for Kenya for the rest of my life. She is my chosen sister and has your magic running through her. Love always your pita."
Zach Peltz and girlfriend Aislinn Carnes
Nicola's youngest brothers are twins Zach and Gregory and while they are professional ice hockey players, they generally keep themselves out of the spotlight. However, some details of Zach's private life - and his closeness to Nicola - have been revealed.
He is in a loving romance with Instagram model Aislinn - with the pair occasionally posting loved-up snaps together. The pair shared a photo of their NYE kiss in 2023 and another snap showed them with their arms around each other.
Their posts draw attention from the Peltz family who like the snaps and offer rare comments. In one post shared at Thanksgiving, Nicola responded with a string of heart eyed emojis to a photo of her brother and his girlfriend snuggled together.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports: "Brooklyn is fond of Zach and Aislinn as the four have previously spent time together in fun-filled images."
Bradley Peltz and former flame Selena Gomez
Fans looking for proof that Nicola is able to balance her family loyalties with close friendships - the evidence they seek is in her continued friendship with pop singer and actress Selena Gomez. While the Only Murders In The Building star is now engaged to music producer Benny Blanco, she was previously linked to former ice hockey player Bradley, 35.
Brooklyn is also close to Selena, and the trio has been known to spend time together socially. Selena even celebrated Thanksgiving with Brooklyn and Nicola one year, with fans noting that Brad was also present at the celebrations.
The Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast previously delved into the speculation about Selena and Brad back when rumours of a romance were ablaze.
One fan claimed: "Streets saying Selena Gomez dating Brad Peltz omg." And another commented: "Selena is dating Brad Peltz?" - while fans also noted how frequently the pair were liking each other's social media posts.
Selena began her relationship with Benny in 2023 and became engaged at the end of last year. Nicola and Selena also follow each other on Instagram.
Matthew Peltz and Hallie Dunn
Nicola's oldest brother, Matthew, has been married to his wife, Hallie Dunn, since 2018, and the couple welcomed a son in 2020. The couple keep themselves largely out of the spotlight, but it is believed Nicola is close to them and loves being an aunt to toddler nephew Asher Lion.
Nicola shared a social media snap about the growing family not long after Asher arrived, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. She wrote online at the time: "Watching my big brother and his beautiful wife Hallie become new parents is incredible ,especially during this scary time. I hope all the new parents and babies are safe."
Nicola's other siblings, Brad, Diesel and Gregory, are very fame shy, but fans could expect Nicola and Brooklyn to be closer to them than they are to his family. While Nicola and Brooklyn wished his sister Harper Seven Beckham a happy birthday earlier this month, it has been noticed that they have unfollowed Cruz and Romeo, fuelling speculation that the rift between the family members may be terminal.

Nicola Peltz's 'distance and strain' triggers Brooklyn Beckham amid ongoing feud
Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham have been spotted looking 'distant' as they spent time onboard her father's yacht in France, according to a body language expert. The ongoing rift between Brooklyn Beckham and his family seems to be taking its toll. It comes as Nicola Peltz Beckham's recent appearance suggests the strain is becoming more evident according to a body language expert. Photos captured during a break on her father's yacht in St Tropez in France hint at 'distance' despite the couple's attempt to present a united front amid their hectic lives. Body language expert Judi James has observed signs of stress in Nicola, 30. The expert explained she finds this difficult to conceal, despite the couple's efforts to display solidarity. Speaking to the Mirror, Judi shared her insights: "With her distant, expressionless eye gaze and her hand either clutching Brooklyn's arm or encased in his hand, Nicola is looking like the tragic heroine here, perhaps wanting to suggest some vulnerability and strain behind her normally cool and confident exterior." Judi further commented: "This is a look that might make most caring husbands wary and trigger their protective side, which is what appears to have happened with Brooklyn here. While his wife walks along in her dramatic black fur tippet and with her hand placed on her bag to provide an emphatic and perhaps symbolic display of her wedding rings, Brooklyn looks more relaxed and dominant." She continued: "Clutching her hand in his with his, with the back of his hand showing fully and the wrist bent in a protective clasp. His mood looks confident and even rather upbeat here as though he enjoys being the strong guy in the relationship. His chest is splayed, his arms are held out and there's a smile brewing on his face." Speculations surrounding a rift within the Beckhams has continued to intensify recently, with Brooklyn and his younger siblings, Cruz and Romeo, reportedly unfollowing one another on social media. Initial reports suggested Brooklyn was the instigator, but it later emerged that he was 'blindsided' by claims that Romeo and Cruz had 'blocked' him, an act dubbed as the "Gen Z version of World War Three". Weeks prior to this, eyebrows were raised when Brooklyn was noticeably absent from both of his parents birthday bashes and did not acknowledge them. He also seemed to overlook his dad's much-anticipated knighthood, choosing instead to celebrate his father-in-law in a post. Brooklyn tied the knot with Nicola back in 2022. However, rumours about friction between Victoria Beckham and Nicola Peltz started to surface even then. This followed reports that Victoria felt slighted after Nicola chose a Valentino dress over one designed by her for the wedding. In a candid chat with Grazia US, she disclosed: "We connected to start designing the dress, and then a few days went by and I didn't hear anything. Victoria called my mom and said her atelier couldn't make it." Addressing rumours that she deliberately avoided wearing a design by her mother-in-law, she expressed feeling "hurt" to the publication. Nicola said: "It does hurt my feelings. I try not to let it, but it's just not the truth. It's just a bit of a bummer when you're like: 'Oh, people think that,' but it's just not true." The tension between Brooklyn and his family has reportedly escalated since, with recent social media activity from the Beckhams suggesting that the rift is far from healing.

Liam Payne left emotional over Building The Band star's admission in final TV project
Liam Payne's final telly project, Building The Band, is airing on Netflix, and one admission from a contestant left the late singer feeling emotional on the set Liam Payne was lost for words after a contestant on Building The Band revealed his link to the late singer. Former One Direction star Liam filmed the Netflix show last year, just weeks before he tragically died. The Polaroid musician tragically died aged just 31 in October last year, having fallen from the balcony of his third-floor hotel room in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He sustained injuries that were not compatible with life and was pronounced dead at the scene. But just weeks prior, Liam appeared in his element, working alongside his pal Nicole Scherzinger, who created his former band, and American chart-topper, Kelly Rowland, filming the show in Manchester, with his relatives even joining him for the process. A clip of the show sees the late musician left speechless when Australian contestant Mason Watts, who is part of the band Midnight Til Morning, revealed his unexpected connection to the band that Liam found fame in. "I just wanna say, Liam, when I was about 11 years old, my family won tickets from Australia," Mason said. He added: "My sisters were obsessed with you; they won flights for my whole family to sit front row at Madison Square Garden when I was a little kid. Ever since that moment, I wanted to be in a group. It's kind of a full-circle moment to be here with a group and be performing in front of you, so thank you, man." Shocked by the admission, Liam eventually said: "Thank you," before looking at the camera and sending a message to Mason's sisters. He said: "Hi sisters!" Mason went on to add: "Thank you man," with Liam adding: "Amazing, thank you so much." Fans watching the clip were also left emotional with one writing on social media: "That's so cool Mason, living your dream and performing for Liam Payne, what an amazing full circle moment!" A second asked: "Is he tearing up?," with one fan replying: "Yes he is, it means the world to him." Another fan commented: "I can't watch this. This breaks my heart into a million pieces. Life is so unfair. Liam is so kind. I met him back in the 1D days several times, and he was always one of the most appreciative and sweetest in the band. These promos for the show are making me so sad." "He was genuinely touched. I'm not into many celebs, but he was so clearly a salt of the earth kind of man, and it's gutting that he is gone," said another. Prior to the show airing last week, doubts had been raised about whether the show should move forward, but Nicole revealed that bosses had the blessing of Liam's relatives. She said: "Liam meant and means so much to all of us, and we were very obviously sensitive to the whole process. We ultimately left it in his family's hands and wanted to respect how they felt about everything and how to move forward. And his parents were there during the filming. They were amazing. It was so wonderful. "They were actually kind of sat right next to us through the whole process, and they've been with Liam and with us through this entire process. So to know that we had their blessing, to know that they were so proud of him on the show, they were like, 'Oh, yes, this is how we want everyone to remember Liam.'" Building The Band is available to stream on Netflix now.

Women are NOT bitchy to each other at work, says Amanda Holden... It's just men setting us up
She famously got into a public spat with Sharon Osbourne and took a bitchy side-swipe at Holly Willoughby. But Amanda Holden insists that women don't fight among themselves – and office catfights are a myth promoted by men. The Britain's Got Talent judge, 54, said in an interview: 'The notion that women are bitchy to each other in the workplace is just men setting us up against each other... It's never the women.' She then added: 'I can't think of another woman who's upset me.' However, her comments in The Times are likely to come as news to Ms Osbourne and Ms Willoughby, with whom Ms Holden has rowed with very publicly in recent years. Ms Holden and Ms Osbourne began their war of words last year after The X Factor judge, 72, and Louis Walsh – appearing on Celebrity Big Brother – criticised Simon Cowell for his dress sense and claimed he 'didn't know how to keep friends'. Ms Holden immediately came out in support of Cowell, saying: 'I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon. 'He's the person who's given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn't have had. It's bitter and pathetic. 'It was like Cinderella with her two sisters in the background? Just stabby, stabby, stabby.' Ms Osbourne then hit back on social media: 'Unlike you, the brand of Sharon Osbourne is known worldwide. 'There are many countries that I could work in if I choose to. However, I don't have the ambition or time to do so and, unlike you, I don't work in radio or pantomime.' Afterwards Ms Holden described it as a 'storm in a teacup'. The presenter, who is one of television's highest-paid women, earning around £5 million a year, has also mocked former This Morning host Holly Willoughby. When Ms Willoughby, 44, returned to the show after Phillip Schofield's much-publicised departure, Ms Holden took a swipe at her first comments to camera. And in May, Amanda (pictured earlier this year) appeared to take another sly dig at the presenter live on air while she was presenting her Heart FM radio show 'Right, deep breath,' Ms Willoughby said, dressed in white, before asking the viewers at home: 'Firstly, are you OK? I hope so.' The next day, also dressed in white, Ms Holden appeared in an online video, saying: 'Hello, it is Tuesday, are you OK?' And in May she appeared to take another sly dig at the presenter live on air while she was presenting her Heart FM radio show. Responding to co-host Jamie Theakston's queries about whether her Netflix dating series Cheat: Unfinished Business was being renewed for a second run, Ms Holden said she didn't know. He then teased, 'What are they suggesting – are they getting Holly Willoughby?' to which Holden replied: 'No, they want a proper presenter.' A spokesman for Holden declined to comment. Not sure Holly and Sharon would agree! ...and try telling that to the office Queen Bee By Roger Dobson There's usually one found in every office: a tough-talking female boss with so-called 'Queen Bee syndrome'. But their lofty authority and disdain for their female co-workers does them no favours – particularly among other women. A study has found women at a lower level – the 'worker bees' – find female bosses arrogant, conceited and manipulative. While the authors of the study acknowledge this may be an unfair prejudice, they suggest the problem lies with women who are seen to be mimicking powerful men and taking on more masculine roles. Dubbing their research 'A Battle in the Hive', they say having this power – particularly in a male-dominated office – might lead them to criticise female subordinates more harshly to distance themselves from other women. But this only creates a negative buzz and sometimes outright hostility. 'We discovered many female subordinates believe their female managers are tough and manipulative, making it difficult to work with them,' the researchers from Istanbul Medipol University wrote in the journal Frontiers in Sociology. 'In workplaces where men predominate, female subordinates may perceive female managers as unsettlingly arrogant and conceited. 'Preference for male leaders, perceived difficulties with female managers (such as emotional reactivity) and the effect of social expectations were primary themes from our research.'
