When Alia Bhtt gave Rs 50 lakh each to her driver and domestic help to buy their own house

Alia Bhatt
made her debut with 'Student Of The Year' in 2012. While it's been 13 years in the business, Alia is one of the top stars in the business already. She's attained criticial acclaim and also a lot of success in terms of her growth and finances.
However, as per reports, Alia is also very generous and makes sure that even people around her, in her staff grow along with her.
Alia reportedly treats her close staff members, including her house help and driver, as part of her family. In 2019, she extended significant financial help to both. Reports say that she gave ₹50 lakh each to her driver and domestic help, hoping the funds would help them purchase new homes.
According to Spotboye.com, on her birthday in 2019, Alia gifted ₹50 lakh each to Sunil and Amol — two individuals who have stood by her side since 2012.
Viewing them as family, her thoughtful gesture reportedly enabled both to buy their own 1 BHK flats in Mumbai's Juhu and Khar areas.
However, not all recent news has been positive. Despite her generosity toward her staff, Alia faced a shocking betrayal when her former personal assistant, Vedika Prakash Shetty, allegedly misappropriated money from Bhatt's production house — Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt. Ltd. — as well as from the actress's personal accounts.
On work front, the actress will be seen next in YRF's spy universe film 'Alpha' with Sharvari. She's currently shooting for
Sanjay Leela Bhansali
's 'Love And War' with
Ranbir Kapoor

"YRF & Mohit Suri's Saiyaara has a historic opening for a debutant film with 21.25 crore in India on Day 1," the production banner said in a statement. Saiyaara Director Mohit Suri Reveals Why Aneet Padda Was Chosen: 'She Was Untouched By...'

Last Updated: Mohit Suri reveals why he cast Aneet Padda in Saiyaara, sharing that her natural look and authentic vibe stood out in an age of cosmetic alterations. Filmmaker Mohit Suri has opened up about the process of casting Big Girls Don't fame Aneet Padda in Saiyaara, where she stars opposite debutant Ahaan Panday. While the film is basking in audience love and raking in impressive box office numbers, Suri reveals that finding Aneet wasn't an easy task—it took nearly five months. In a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Mohit shared that the role demanded a young woman between 20 to 22 years old, someone untouched by cosmetic procedures—something he admitted was 'rare in today's age." 'That was a major requirement," he said. 'I didn't expect it to be such a bigger requirement. Not only that, I needed someone who felt real, someone who hadn't something to themselves. She had done some work before, and she was brilliant at it." Mohit said Aneet's authenticity made her perfect for the role of a middle-class Punjabi girl from Amritsar. 'She just fit right in," he said, adding, 'We often have the wrong idea of what small-town India is like—they're actually more conventionally 'out there' than we are. She had more to share with me than I had with her." Aneet reportedly auditioned for several filmmakers prior to Saiyaara, including Anurag Kashyap and Kunal Deshmukh. Even YRF's casting head Shanoo Sharma had vouched for her talent. 'That's when I knew she was good," Mohit said. As for her performance, Suri believes Aneet is 'predominantly a great actor," especially for the layered role she was entrusted with in the emotionally charged romantic drama. Meanwhile, Saiyaara has proved to be a sleeper hit at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected ₹24 crore on its second day (Saturday), taking its two-day total to ₹45 crore. It opened with ₹21 crore on Day 1, surpassing the collections of big-budget projects like Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, Akshay Kumar's Kesari Chapter 2, and Ajay Devgn's Raid 2. Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday's chemistry and Mohit Suri's signature emotional storytelling have clearly struck a chord with audiences across the country. Box Office: Saiyaara goes on an overdrive on Sunday; Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer collects Rs 30 crore on day 3

The Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda-led Saiyaara has gone on an overdrive at the box office on Sunday, as very early trends are indicating Sunday business in the range of Rs 29.00 crore to Rs 31.00 crore, with chances to go higher too depending on how the night shows perform. The film was literally running to packed houses all across the board, and the exhibitors too have gone ahead to allot more shows to this Mohit Suri-directed romantic saga. The YRF-produced film opened at Rs 21.25 crore on Friday, followed by a jump to Rs 24.50 crore on Saturday, and peaking with Rs 30 crore on Sunday. The three-day total of Saiyaara is estimated to stand at Rs 75.75 crore, and the film is headed to record a strong hold in collections on Monday, as a large chunk of cinema-going audience have pre-booked their tickets for the fourth day due to capacity issues on Sunday. While the business on day one and day two was dominated by the youth and masses, the family audience have embraced the film on the third day, which is a great sign for the trajectory in long run for the romantic saga. The music has become extremely popular, and the on-ground reports are getting strong by the day, which is an early indication of an unbelievable lifetime number in the long run. These numbers have come in for rank newcomers, and it's after a while since a newcomer film has set the box office on fire. Saiyaara has successfully established Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda as potential stars in the horizon, and right choices from hereon can give the Gen-Z a new generation of heroes. These numbers are beyond historic and probably the biggest for a feature film in the post-pandemic world in real terms, as a film devoid of star-power could just hit the Rs 300 crore club in India. This is certainly the beginning of a new era, with romantic films beginning to hit the marque. If the weekend numbers have shocked you, await the weekday results, as we await the magic to hit a new high in the coming few days. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates!
