An 18 year old man has died after a serious crash in Halifax.
The teenager was driving a Citroen C1when it collided with a grey BMW 330 just after 20:00 BST on Friday.
West Yorkshire Police said the BMW had been travelling on Hopwood Lane towards Queens Road when it was in collision with the Citroen, which was coming out of the lane from Gibraltar Road.
Two women from the BMW, both aged 25, were treated in hospital and initially arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
The force said one had now been released under investigation and the other had been released without charge.
The force renewed their appeal for witnesses to the incident.

TAUNTON, Mass. (WWLP) – Five people have been injured in a crash following a high-speed chase on Route 24 on Monday. Mass. man arrested following deadly crash in November The Massachusetts State Police state that on Monday at approximately 4:00 a.m., a trooper assigned to the Middleborough Barracks saw a white BMW X5 traveling south on Route 24 at an estimated speed of more than 100 mph. When the trooper initiated a traffic stop, the driver failed to stop and continued to speed up to escape police. As the driver continued to travel south on Route 24, the driver was observed reaching a speed of approximately 130 mph. The vehicle then lost control and crashed in Taunton a short time later. First aid was provided to the five occupants inside the BMW. They were taken to local hospitals in stable condition. The investigation remains ongoing, and the charges have yet to be announced. PORT ST. LUCIE − A second person has died following a May 26 – Memorial Day − crash involving two vehicles in western Port St. Lucie, according to Port St. Lucie Police. A preliminary investigation found a 2011 BMW convertible driven by John Latowski, 74, of Port St. Lucie, traveled south on Northwest Glades Cut Off Road while a 2023 Kia driven by Cierra Lloyd, 24, of Fort Pierce, traveled west on Northwest Commerce Center Drive. Police about 1:30 p.m. May 26 went to the scene. 'At this time, it appears that the Kia failed to yield the right of way to the BMW, which caused a crash,' police stated. Latowski and his wife, Joan Latowski, 72, who was a passenger in the BMW, were taken to HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce. Joan Latowski died at the hospital, while her husband succumbed to his injuries May 31 at the hospital, according to Port St. Lucie Police. The Latowskis both wore their seatbelts, said Sgt. Dominick Mesiti, police spokesperson. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of blackmail by officers investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Bradford. Mohammed Junaid Khan, 19, died after being injured in a knife fight involving a number of men in Loughrigg Street, in the West Bowling area of the city, on Friday.
