Tour Bus Skids On NSE, 36 Indian Tourists, Driver Unharmed

IPOH, June 19 (Bernama) -- Thirty-six Indian nationals and a local driver escaped unhurt after the tour bus they were travelling in skidded and crashed at KM 396.2 of the North-South Expressway (NSE) northbound near Muallim this afternoon.
Muallim police chief Supt Mohd Hasni Mohd Nasir said the incident occurred at 3.39 pm, and all victims, including the 41-year-old driver, escaped without any injuries.
According to him, preliminary investigations revealed that the bus was en route from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh when it lost control and veered to the right side of the road.

Kedah KPDN director Muhammad Nizam Jamaludin said the woman, in her 40s, was arrested based on a public tip-off and intelligence gathered by Alor Setar KPDN enforcement personnel. 'During initial observations, a pickup truck was seen filling up diesel before heading to the back of the petrol station where the vehicle owner was changing out local registration plates for foreign registration plates.

KOTA BHARU, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Army (TDM) detained 10 Myanmar nationals attempting to cross Sungai Golok illegally into Malaysia from Thailand. A statement from TDM's 2nd Infantry Division today said the undocumented migrants (PATI) comprised four men and six women, aged between 19 and 35, with some of them carrying Myanmar identification documents and passports. 'Several personal items, including mobile phones and cash in Malaysian, Myanmar and Thai currencies, were also confiscated.
