A PARAGLIDER has been rushed to hospital after her "parachute collapsed" while landing.
The female paraglider crash landed on the Beer Head Coast Path in Devon and fell 10 feet onto the ground during the horrific scenes on Friday afternoon, a coastguard spokesperson said.

Emergency crews rushed the female paraglider to hospital after the shocking crash

They added that she landed on her back and was "in a lot of pain".
She was then quickly taken to hospital by ambulance services.
Beer Coastguard Rescue Team said: "Tasked to a female paragliding who had crashed landed falling the last 10 feet after her chute collapsed.
"She had landed on her back and was in a lot of pain.
"Initial casualty care provided by us until the paramedics arrived on scene.
"Lyme Regis Coastguard also tasked along with HART [Hazardous Area Response Team].
"Different extraction methods to get the casualty back to the ambulance were considered, it was decided to use the HART 6 wheeled polaris vehicle, this being the smoothest option.
"The casualty was transferred to ambulance for onward journey to hospital.
"We wish her a speedy recovery."

The aircraft is believed to have suffered a technical issue on the runway before colliding into a second small plane on the taxiway. A loud explosion was heard as a fire quickly spread across the tarmac and onto a grassy part of the airport. It is believed that at least four people were onboard the crashed aircraft at the time. No one was on the stationary plane, reports 8KPAX. The Kalispell Police Department, Flathead County Sheriff's Office and local firefighters all rushed to the tarmac after the crash. The first emergency call came in at 2:08pm. Investigations are ongoing into what caused the accident. The fire broke out just after 4pm today at a waste management facility on Cornets End Lane, Meriden Depot, Coventry. 1 A specialist high-volume water pumping unit was also sent to the scene Credit: West Midlands Fire Service Emergency crews rushed to the scene as thick smoke rose from the site. Around 60 firefighters, nine fire engines, two brigade response vehicles and a hydraulic aerial platform were deployed to tackle the flames, which were tearing through three quarters of the 80-metre by 40-metre building. A specialist high-volume water pumping unit was also sent to the scene. A spokesperson said: 'We were called to a significant fire involving a large building at a waste management facility in Meriden. "Crews are working hard to protect the rest of the building, and liaising closely with on-site staff to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.' As of 6pm, the incident was still ongoing.
