"I love you Paul Rudd," Cyrus declared, with the camera cutting to a touched Rudd.
At one point, Cyrus also told the celebrity-filled audience at Radio City: "Are y'all doing that Grammys thing where you guys are famous and s--- and you don't sing along, excuse my language?"

Culture called and we answered the phone last night at the 2025 Las Culturistas Culture Awards! Cohosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers gathered all of the titans in culture under one roof to award those worthy of the coveted trophies. The two comedians opened the show with a stirring rendition of Lady Gaga's "Abracadabra" and a hilarious opening monologue. The room seemed to be buzzing with anticipation as the awards were handed on during a televised broadcast on Bravo last night, which will be available on Peacock today. They managed to get so many of their notable nominees to attend, including the cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dylan Efron, Gabby Windey, Reneé Rapp, and Robyn with a Y (the Riddler's assistant). And Allison Janney was deservedly honored with the Lifetime of Culture Award and a stunning, moving tribute. Before the awards ceremony aired, Yang and Rogers promoted the show during TV interviews and handed out some of the awards. During their appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, they gave him the award for Best Future Podcaster (given that his show was recently canceled). Rogers appeared on Jenna Bush Hager's morning show, TODAY with Jenna & Friends, Yang made a surprise appearance to award her with the Cultch for TODAY Show Award for Excellence in the Morning. The boys have been gearing up for this moment and the night has finally come, so here are the best moments from last night's award show. It was an incredibly tight race, the carabiner had a great year and my money was on that, but Probably Your Grandma won out this year and sent a sweet message from heaven. Sasha Colby presents Best New Artist We're gagged by Gaggy. #cultureawards2025 #SashaColby #GabbyWindey Last night, RuPaul's Drag Race alum Sasha Colby gave out the award for Best New Artist because it just makes sense after her drag daughter, Chappell Roan, won Best New Artist at the Grammy Awards earlier this year. The award went to everyone's favorite Bachelorette turned lesbian and Traitors winner, Gabby Windey. She kissed her wife, Robby Hoffman, right before rushing up to the stage to accept her award. "This is not the first time a gay man has helped me win something, big shoutout to Dylan Efron," she joked during her acceptance speech. She went on to thank her wife, her agents, managers, and of course, the lesbians. Matt and Bowen perform Lady Gaga's "Abracadabra" We will never recover from Abracadabra. #cultureawards2025 #MattRogers #BowenYang #LadyGaga Rogers and Yang are no strangers to the stage, and they kicked off the show with an electrifying cover of Lady Gaga's "Abracadabra" complete with full choreography. Kristen Wiig presents the Allison Janney received the Lifetime of Culture Award Kristen Wiig's honoring Allison Janney at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards 🫶 #cultureawards2025 #KristenWiig #AllisonJanney At every award show, one of the biggest trophies of the night goes to someone who might not have gotten the awards or the recognition they deserved throughout their career. Although Janney does have an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and seven Emmys, she was honored with this year's Lifetime of Culture Award. She was introduced by her Palm Royale co-star, Kristen Wiig, and instead of a montage of all of her best work, they decided to do a moving tribute, which was essentially a choreographed interpretive dance that was inspired by all of her major movie and television career highlights. Dave Franco and Alison Brie present Best Batman Woman Who runs the world? You already know. #cultureawards2025 #AlisonBrie #DaveFranco #KristenWiig The audience was treated to another bit from Wiig when Alison Brie and Dave Franco presented the award for Best Batman Woman. Personally, I think it should have gone to Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman, but Robyn with a Y (the Riddler's assistant) took home the Cultch last night. Robyn (played by Kristen Wiig) accepted the award, making sure to note that her supervillain boss is a great manager. She shared what she does on a day to day basis and ended her speech saying, "I want to say thank you to this show, I don't know where I am or what this is." She added, "But this must have been started by women, for women, so a final thank you to the two ladies of Los Culturiscias." - YouTube The 2025 Las Culturistas Culture Awards ceremony is now streaming on . 'SNL' alum Bill Hader reveals the reason behind his absence during anniversary special
Actor Bill Hader revealed the real reason that he did not attend the star-studded prime time special celebrating the 50th anniversary of 'Saturday Night Live.' Hint: It wasn't scheduling conflicts as previously stated by his representative. During an appearance Monday on 'Late Night With Seth Meyers,' Hader said that comedian Andy Samberg called with an idea for a digital short about the anxiety everyone on 'SNL' goes through. The star behind characters like Stefon said he told Samberg that he wasn't sure he wanted to do that because he's anxious. Instead, Bowen Yang starred in the short film that aired during the special. 'And he was great,' Hader said. Hader and Meyers both joked that another reason he did not make an appearance during the 'SNL' special was because he had "anxiety-caused shingles." The host quipped that if he would have attended the show he would have had 'double shingles.' Hader was an 'SNL' cast member for eight seasons between 2005 to 2013. Since leaving the show, he has been open about his mental health during his time at Studio 8H. Meyers said that his co-star on 'SNL' had a 'relentless list of maladies.' 'The top-10 weirdest things that happened to any cast member I ever worked with were all Bill Hader,' he said. Hader went on to talk about how he lost his vision because of his anxiety in his first season on the show. It happened while he was waiting backstage with co-star Jason Sudeikis, stuntman Johnny Knoxville and singer Neil Young for their sketch 'Appalachian Emergency Room.' The sketch went on, with Sudeikis taking Hader's lines and moving Hader to his mark. '[Sudeikis] was very sweet,' Hader told Meyers. Hader co-created and starred in the HBO hit show 'Barry' after leaving 'SNL.' He will next voice the title role in "The Cat in the Hat," an animated film set to be released in February. Jane Etta Pitt, mother of Brad Pitt, dies
Brad Pitt has suffered a loss in the family. The "Fight Club" star's mother, Jane Etta Pitt, has died, according to an Instagram post by the actor's niece, Sydney Pitt. She honored "my sweet Grammy" in the social media tribute on Wednesday, Aug. 6. USA TODAY has reached out to representatives for Brad Pitt. "We were not ready for you to go yet but knowing you are finally free to sing, dance, and paint again makes it a tad easier," she wrote. "If you knew Grammy, you knew she had the biggest heart. She cared deeply for everyone and everything, no questions asked." Pitt also reflected on how there "was no limit to the love she gave, and everyone who met her felt it," adding, "I don't know how we move forward without her. But I know she's still here in every brushstroke, every kind gesture, every hummingbird. She was love in its purest form." In June, Brad Pitt gave a sweet shoutout to his mom on the "Today" show while promoting his movie "F1." "I've got to say hi to my mom because she watches you every morning," the actor said during an appearance with "Today" host Savannah Guthrie. "To Jane Pitt! Love you mom." Pitt also gave his mother a wave and blew her a kiss. This story is developing.
