Kourtney Kardashian shares images from daughter Penelope's lavish 13th birthday party in Italy

Daily Mail5 days ago
Kourtney Kardashian celebrated her eldest child Penelope Disick's 13th birthday on July 8 in Lake Como.
And on Sunday, she shared a group of photos from the newly minted teenager's party.
She gushed over her daughter in the comments and most assuredly made Penelope's eyes roll when she called her 'the coooolessssst.'
'My little lady is 13,' the Poosh founder's caption began. 'Being her mommy is one of the greatest things I have ever done.
'She inspires me to be a better person every day. I won't ever have the words for how much joy and love she brings to my life. She is the cooooolessssst,' Kourtney, 46, wrote.
The first photo of Penelope featured her in a highlighter yellow top and shorts with a cow print handbag over one shoulder.
The second photo was a scenic shot of the lake beyond some buildings.
In the third photo, Penelope wore a black-and-white striped top with a long, pink skirt.
She sat in a window seat and had a Fendi baguette handbag over one shoulder.
The fourth slide in Kourtney's post was a loop of Penelope sitting at a table with her loved ones blowing out the candles on her chocolate cake.
The rest of the post revealed pink and white balloons, 13 balloons and a video of fireworks over the lake.
The former Keeping Up With The Kardashians personality shares Penelope, as well as Mason, 15, and Reign, 10, with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.
She took to Instagram last week to highlight the special occasion and express her gratitude for motherhood.
'My daughter is 13 today,' she wrote over a photo of a floor covered in balloons. 'My heart is exploding with gratitude and love for her.'
Kardashian didn't specify exactly where they traveled, but scenic photos resembled Lake Como in Italy.
'I am so indescribably grateful for my sweet girl,' Kardashian wrote over a photo of a balcony view. 'She inspires me every day to be a better person.'
The mother-of-four, who also shares toddler Rocky with husband Travis Barker, also noted the trip was extra special for a sentimental reason.
'My parents spent their honeymoon here 47 years ago, so special to get to bring my daughter here,' she typed over another image featuring a Riviera.
It comes one month after Kourtney used social media to share that she was 'crying bc my baby girl is done with 6th grade.'
Last year Penelope celebrated her birthday by going on a three-day getaway with her friends.
Taking to Instagram afterward, Kourtney posted photos from the soiree and wrote in the caption, '9 girls (and a baby), 2 moms (shoutout @natalie5382), 3 days of casual, perfectly slowed down beach days to celebrate my little lady.
'Toe rings, sound baths, night swims, painting bikini boxes, frozen bananas, mamma mia and lots of frank ocean forever.'

He made the shocking rant in a video which he posted on Instagram for his 6.1million followers. He said: "Women, you are failing. "You are eradicating masculinity by making society hypersensitive. "Embrace your feminine energy: nurturing, caring, receiving, multiplying, cleaning, maintaining the home, which is the most precious place for us men. "Do not be afraid to be women, to allow yourselves to be led by a man who only wants to see you happy, because we do not know heaven without you. "Holding yourselves responsible for your energy is also a way of loving you. "Men, we are failing in the lack of commitment, putting our partners last, not keeping our word, and not prioritising habits to become admirable. "I understand that we are afraid to speak and truly express what we feel because they are trying to eradicate masculinity, since in certain cases of the past, feminine energy was suppressed, but many of us are here wanting to love you, take care of you, respect you, and provide for you. 8 8 "But you women must learn to honour masculinity." Woman dies at Tomorrowland days after devastating fire on main stage

A Canadian woman has died at Tomorrowland festival just days after the festival opened despite a huge fire destroying the main stage. Authorities in Antwerp are investigating the 35-year-old's death after she became unwell at the festival grounds on Friday night. A statement said emergency services resuscitated the woman, but that she later died in hospital. The public prosecutor's office in Antwerp said in a statement: 'The prosecutor's office immediately launched an investigation. Initial findings indicate strong evidence of a drug-related death. An autopsy and a thorough toxicology examination will provide definitive answers.' It is the second tragedy that has struck the festival in recent days, after its main stage was destroyed in a fire earlier in the week. Images shared on local news sites and social media showed flames and plumes of black smoke engulfing the stage and spreading to nearby woodland on Wednesday. Fireworks seemingly ready for performances were also seen exploding into the air as nearby residents were urged to close all windows and doors until the fire was contained. No members of the public were present at the time of the blaze, but 1,000 employees were on site. Dozens of emergency teams were seen rushing through the festival grounds just after 6pm on the day of the blaze in an attempt to extinguish the flames and evacuate those inside the grounds. The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed. Some of the world's most popular DJs are due to appear on the stage over the weekend, including Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Fisher, Swedish House Mafia and Steve Aoki. Organisers raced to build an alternative main stage, with the festival opening two hours later than planned on Friday. The Independent has contacted Tomorrowland for comment regarding the death of the woman. Festival spokesperson Debby Wilmsen told Brussels Morning: "She received first aid and was then transferred to the University Hospital of Antwerp. 'We were informed she passed away there. Our condolences go out to her family and friends. The Antwerp prosecutor's office is investigating the cause of death and will update further on this matter.'

The one-piece swimsuits that can be worn beyond the beach (tummy control a bonus)

Good news for those resistant to the itsy-bitsy bikini: the one-piece swimming costume is the fashion set's swimwear of choice this year. They've cropped up on recent catwalks, bringing boho to the beach at Chloé and riffing on a nautical mood at Chanel. Over on the high street, some of the best options play with tie-up details, pretty piping and texture; there are covetable crinkle styles at Arket and Hush, no doubt inspired by enduringly popular British brand Hunza G, which specialises in sculpting seersucker pieces. There are plenty of other independent UK swimwear labels to turn to, including cult favourite Asceno, sustainability-focused Away That Day and Ibiza-inspired purveyor of grown-up glamour Ôsalé. 'We're seeing a lot of earthy, sun-kissed tones like terracotta and chocolate, creamy neutrals, as well as deep ocean blues,' says Ôsalé founder Aliya Wilkinson. 'There's also been a noticeable rise in subtle shimmer and metallics, with fabrics that have a satin-like sheen or soft gold and bronze finishes that elevate the look without being too loud.' For Anouchka Houser, founder of Nounou, another British swimwear label to know, it's all about comfort. 'Trends come and go, but the most flattering swimsuit is always the one that makes you feel your best,' she says. 'Prioritise quality fabrics that are soft against the skin as you'll be wearing it for hours, so it should feel as good as it looks.' A perk of the one-piece is supportive coverage, which can be found in abundance at M&S, where some costumes offer a discreet 'tummy control' panel, as well as subtly padded cups and adjustable straps. Tactfully placed ruching can have similar effects – for options worth the investment, look to Nuria Ferrer and Prism. Another factor that makes it worth splashing out on a one-piece? It needn't be confined to your holidays. 'There's a growing trend for styling swimsuits beyond the beach,' says Wilkinson. 'A sleek one-piece can double up as a bodysuit and be worn with wide-leg trousers, high-waisted jeans or a linen maxi skirt.' Miniskirts, shorts… the options are endless. 'Add an oversized shirt or statement jewellery,' Wilkinson adds, 'and you have an easy summer outfit that works from poolside to dinner.' Wherever your holiday takes you, a swimming costume might just be the most versatile piece in your summer wardrobe.
