Yash Dayal Gets Major Relief As Allahabad HC Stays Arrest Over Sexual Harassment Charges
Last Updated: Allahabad High Court has stayed the arrest of Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Yash Dayal, who is accused of sexually exploiting a woman for five years. In what has come as a major relief to Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer Yash Dayal, the Allahabad High Court on Tuesday stayed his arrest, in connection with an FIR lodged against him for allegedly exploiting a woman for five years. The FIR was registered against Yash on July 6 at Indirapuram police station in Ghaziabad under Section 69 of BNS, which deals with sexual intercourse by employing deceitful means. A bench of Justice Siddharth Varma and Anil Kumar granted Yash the relief till the next date of listing. After an FIR was filed against Yash, he moved to the Allahabad HC seeking a stay on his arrest. 'You could have been fooled for 1 day, 2 day, 3 day…but 5 years…you are entering into a relationship for 5 years…one can't be fooled for 5 years," the bench told the woman, granting a stay on Yash's arrest. Yash has been accused of exploiting the woman on the pretext of marriage. As per the complainant, the two had met around five years ago, and he had promised to marry her. The woman has claimed that Yash kept postponing her proposal to marry, and she later came to know that he was involved with other women too. Gopal Swaroop Chaturvedi, assisted by Gaurav Tripathi and Raghuvansh Mishra, appeared for Yash. The star RCB pacer also complained to the Prayagraj police, asking for an FIR against the woman.
