Chart-topping music star accused of lying about her age

Daily Mail2 days ago
Nicki Minaj 's ongoing feud with R&B singer SZA has taken another ugly turn.
After the pair exchanged insults on X (formerly Twitter) this week, Minaj, 42, took things further by accusing SZA, 35, of lying about her age.
In a since-deleted post, the Super Bass rapper said that SZA is in her 'mid forties' before demanding to see her birth certificate.
Despite swiftly deleting the post, it didn't stop fans from screenshotting it and sharing it all over social media.
'You really can't make this up….. SZA's barely mid-30's and Nicki's pushing 50,' commented one.
'A woman in her almost mid 40's…trying to shame another woman for being mid 40's when she's not…' wrote a second.
'Nicki is too old to be doing all this s**t. I hope SZA doesn't give her the attention,' a third commented.
Another posted, 'Girl I was shocked when I knew that [SZA's] 35yo. I thought she was like 25 or something. Your a** is just jealous.'
There's currently no evidence to support Nicki's baseless claims that SZA is being dishonest about her age.
Minaj is currently embroiled in a feud with Top Dawg Entertainment label president, Terrence 'Punch' Henderson, who happens to be SZA's manager.
After Minaj attacked Henderson in a scathing post on X, SZA cryptically posted, 'Mercury retrograde … don't take the bait lol silly goose.'
While Minaj wasn't mentioned in SZA's post, Minaj assumed that the comment was aimed at her, and then proceeded to attack SZA's career, talent, and appearance in a series of scathing social media posts this week.
In one vicious post, Minaj wrote, 'Wait. Does Sza think she's more successful than me? Lol y'all catch me up pls.'
She continued, 'SZA, if every song you've ever done vanished right now the music business wouldn't even miss you. I've been to countries that never heard of you. I know you're not THAT stupid are you?'
Minaj is well known for her nasty feuds with other female artists.
Over the years, the Anaconda hitmaker has beefed with Cardi B, Mariah Carey, Remy Ma, Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Kim, Iggy Azalea, and Miley Cyrus.
Meanwhile, SZA isn't the first hitmaker to be accused of lying about her age.
Over the years, there's been an ongoing conspiracy theory that Beyonce had shaved a couple of years off her real age.
However, DailyMail.com previously checked public records, which confirmed that Beyonce is indeed the age that she publicly claims to be.
Minaj recently revealed that she's thought about quitting the music industry many times despite all of her success.
The hitmaker is one of the world's best-selling music artists and is the best-selling female rapper of all time, with over 100million records sold.
But she admitted that the inevitable criticism that comes with being in the spotlight has got to her over the years.
Speaking to Vogue Italia, Nicki said: 'I've heard every possible criticism about me. I've thought about quitting so many times.
'I'm glad I didn't. I hope my story can be an inspiration, and push kids, adults, anyone, not to give up.'
Nicki is mother to a four-year-old boy - whose name she has not made public - with her husband, Kenneth 'Zoo' Petty.
The star told how she delayed becoming a mother for the sake of her career and providing for her family members.
She said: 'As a woman, I put off becoming a mother. A lot of women in the industry, especially older than me, never had children. Some don't regret it, but others do. I put it off.
'And I didn't go to every Thanksgiving, every Christmas, or birthday party because I had to work to support my family. I think the price was not having a 'normal' life.
'Things are different now, because I can give my son things I never had, but there are things I want to make sure he has, and I still need to figure out how to give them to him.
'When we go out, for example, I have to worry that someone will take his picture.'

Jake Paul blasted for showing 'disrespect' after Oleksandr Usyk fight

The 'Problem Child' stormed the ring and faced off with Usyk immediately after the Ukrainian's destructive win over Daniel Dubois at Wembley Jake Paul has faced a lot of backlash after he faced with Oleksandr Usyk immediately after the Ukrainian's destructive win over Daniel Dubois. ‌ Usyk and Dubois went head-to-head for a second time on Saturday night in front of over 90,000 fans at Wembley Stadium. After winning the initial encounter two years ago, the Ukrainian settled the score once and for all after securing a vicious fifth round knockout. ‌ With the pair clashing for the undisputed heavyweight title at a huge venue, it was inevitable that many big names were going to be ringside. Paul was sitting front row for the event and was constantly booed by fans every time he appeared on the big screen. The 'Problem Child' quickly grabbed the headlines after he once again called for a fight with Anthony Joshua. ‌ He told DAZN: "Yeah 100 per cent it's going to happen. We're going to do the unthinkable and create one of the biggest fights in the history of boxing. It's not even about it being realistic or not, it's gonna happen so fasten your seatbelts. And when I knock him out I'll go down in the history books forever." His trip to the UK would not be complete without facing off with Usyk - who he has called out multiple times over the last few months. The pair faced off in the ring immediately after the Ukrainian's win over Dubois. Neither man blinked in what was a tense and chilling stare down. Eventually, the pair shook hands and went their separate ways. In a post uploaded to X - formerly known as Twitter - Paul posted the video, captioning it: "Congrats to one of the greatest heavyweights of all time @usykaa on a huge win. I respect you a lot. Now we do an MMA match for the world @MostVpromotions." ‌ As expected, the footage quickly went viral online - with Usyk himself was quick to comment on the face off with the YouTuber-turned-boxer. "Jake Paul came to the ring for a face-off. I'm ready to fight with Jake Paul in MMA rules. I'm ready but I need to rest," he said. While it was maybe all fun and games, boxing fans were quick to flood the comments section, expressing their anger towards Paul. "Letting him in the same ring as Usyk is an insult," one fan wrote. A second commented: "It should never be sanctioned, Usyk will murder the YouTuber!" A third replied: "Please don't disrespect us and Usyk like this," while another posted: "This is absolutely ridiculous. Get Jake Paul out of there." A fifth replied: "Embarrassing shouldn't even be allowed in the same ring as Usyk." Paul - who signed with the PFL two years ago - is yet to make his MMA debut. Back in May, the American stunned the boxing world after he called out Usyk for a fight in the octagon. "Yeah, I want to be like Holly (Holm) here and test my skills in the cage," The Problem Child said, referencing the American boxer and MMA star. "That's something I'm super, super interested in, and I think it would be a very, very big spectacle. Nate Diaz is still ducking, but we would need to find the right opponent. [Oleksandr] Usyk, maybe." ‌ Paul's business partner Nakisa Bidarian then weighed in on the comments and raised expectations that a stunning bout between the two stars could take place. "Usyk has called out Jake multiple times in MMA," he added. "They've been in touch with us behind the scenes saying they want to do that fight in 2026. So it's something that we definitely want to pursue." When is Jake Paul's next fight? After defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr last month, Paul is set to fight once more before the year is out. The American can now fight for a world title after he was placed in the WBC's cruiserweight rankings following his win over the Mexican. The 28-year-old's manager revealed his business partner is keen on fighting for a world title 'as soon as possible'. However, he admits it is likely it won't happen next, given the current standings at 200lbs. "Absolutely [he will fight again this year]. November or December," Bidarian told Ariel Helwani when asked about Paul's next steps. "I'm seeing him tonight for dinner, and we will have a conversation [about his next opponent]. The only possibility right now is that Jake wants to fight for a belt as soon as possible. "I have to talk to him, I think it's tough this year [to box for a world title]. Badou Jack is who he wants to fight more than anyone, and he has a mandatory rematch with the guy he just beat [Noel Mikaelian] for the WBC. I don't know if this year is possible [for the title fight], but we'll see."

Kelly Clarkson's daughter River Rose, 11, melts hearts with surprise duet alongside mom at Vegas show

Kelly Clarkson 's daughter, River Rose, joined the star on stage for a surprise performance during her Las Vegas residency on Friday. The Stronger singer, 43, and the 11-year-old thrilled fans while performing a duet at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The sweet mother-daughter duo sang Clarkson's 'Heartbeat Song' while wearing matching bedazzled t-shirts and bell bottom pants in a video shared on X. Kelly — who emotionally postponed the opening shows of her residency at the last minute — and River were seen swaying together while holding microphones. At one point the proud mom hugged her daughter, whom she shares with ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, 48, along with son Remington Alexander Blackstock, 9. The fan who posted the clip revealed that Clarkson told the audience before the duet: 'So my daughter River Rose said to me, "I wanna sing tonight!"' 'So my daughter River Rose said to me, I wanna sing tonight!' #StudioSessions #KellyInVegas — Brett (@chismism) July 19, 2025 Clarkson and her daughter previously performed the song together during a Las Vegas concert in August 2023. At the time the singer noted that River had been 'jamming out to the song since she was a baby.' She added that her daughter 'loves this song so much.' Clarkson officially kicked off her much-awaited Vegas residency last Friday - just one week after angering fans by canceling shows last minute. Along with performing hits for the crowd, the star also apologized for canceling the opening two shows of her residency. In a TikTok video taken by a concertgoer, Clarkson expressed, 'Man, I'm so sorry if some of y'all had [tickets to] last weekend's shows. 'I'm so sorry. We can't help our bodies sometimes, and that happens, but thank you for showing up. We're so excited.' Kelly previously took to Instagram just 90 minutes before her first scheduled show and explained she was 'devastated' to postpone the concerts following grueling rehearsals. Clarkson penned to her fans in a statement: 'We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans.' 'I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow's opening at Caesars.' Kelly said that both the 'prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice' and that she wants 'the shows to be perfect for y'all.' She added, 'I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.' 'The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong.' In conclusion, the star wrote, 'I can't wait to be back next weekend and show y'all what we've been working on.' Only a few hours before the shock announcement, Clarkson had uploaded behind-the-scenes photos of herself preparing for the residency with the caption, 'TONIGHT!!' Fans were left 'bummed' over the sudden cancelation while others offered words of support to the Because of You singer in the comment section. One penned, 'Totally bummed that we flew all the way to Vegas only to find out that the show was cancelled 1 1/2 hours prior to show time. So so sad!!' and another added, 'I'm outside the doors,' followed by crying face emojis. The performer announced her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace earlier this year in February. It came after she hosted a residency at Planet Hollywood Resort from 2023-2024. This year's residency had been slated to kick off on Fourth of July followed by another performance the next day. Clarkson is currently co-parenting with ex-husband Blackstock. She and the talent exec were married for nearly seven years before she filed for divorce in June 2020, which was finalized in 2022.
