The Kansas City Chiefs will need significant contributions from members of their receiving corps in 2025 if they intend to get back to the Super Bowl, and veteran pass-catcher Skyy Moore may play more of a role in the team's offense than some fans might think.
After suffering a season-ending injury during Kansas City's 2024 campaign, Moore was spotted on the field at Chiefs OTAs this week and seemed to have added some muscle to his frame over the last few months.
Take a look at Moore's new physique in this picture, which was posted to Twitter by veteran sports radio host and reporter Darren Smith on Thursday:
Though Moore has struggled to find his footing in the NFL since he joined Kansas City as a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, he may be able to carve out a niche for himself as a rotational option in the passing game next season.
Stay tuned for updates on Moore's progress as the Chiefs' offseason program continues.

Former Cowboys HC shows up at Commanders' first day of minicamp

Former Cowboys HC shows up at Commanders' first day of minicamp Mini-camp, Day 1. That's Jason Garrett in blue. — Ben Standig (@BenStandig) June 10, 2025 The Cowboys weren't the only NFC East team to kick off their minicamp on Tuesday. The division rival Commanders also opened up the mandatory portion of their offseason program, and they hosted a very familiar face as one of their Day 1 guests. Former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett was in attendance in Ashburn, Va., at the invitation of current Washington head coach Dan Quinn. It's the second straight year that Quinn has welcomed Garrett to town during minicamp, according to Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports. Quinn "gets the benefit of veteran coaching perspective to check his blind spots," she noted on X, "Garrett gets perspective for his NBC broadcasts. Win-win." Garrett is now over five years removed from his tenure as Cowboys coach, having posted a 87-70 mark in the regular season and playoffs combined in nine-plus seasons in Dallas. He had also been the team's offensive coordinator for four years and played quarterback in the silver and blue for eight more. Yes, his visit with Quinn on Tuesday was much more in keeping with his current job as an NBC analyst, but it still must have been strange for Commanders players to look over during their practice and see the longtime enemy standing there wearing Cowboys colors. Most Washington players, anyway. A few will remember him from their own time in Dallas; Garrett coached Commanders wide receivers Noah Brown and Michael Gallup for multiple seasons, as well as defensive end Dorance Armstrong. And Garrett was a Cowboys teammate of Washington's current linebackers coach, Ken Norton, Jr., for the 1993 season that ended with both men earning a Super Bowl ring. Cooper DeJean spent time focusing on the nuances of CB positions with Patrick Surtain

Cooper DeJean spent time focusing on the nuances of CB positions with Patrick Surtain Eagles' dynamic defensive back Cooper DeJean has been focusing on the nuances of the cornerback position with NFL Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain this offseason. The Eagles drafted Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in the first two rounds of last April's NFL draft, and the results were championship worthy. Philadelphia was 2-2 entering the Week 5 bye, but lost one regular-season game after DeJean was inserted into the lineup in place of Avonte Maddox. The Eagles defeated the Chiefs in Super Bowl 59, and finished the year with both Mitchell and DeJean being finalists for the AP Defensive Rookie of the Year award. With James Bradberry and Darius Slay departing, DeJean will have an even more critical role in Vic Fangio's defense this season, and he's already returned to training. DeJean has spent the off-season working out with NFL Defensive Player of the Year Patrick Surtain. Recently, Lucas Evans of the Denver Post wrote a long-form article on Surtain and his dominance at the position. One of the tidbits featured Surtain coaching DeJean on one of the nuances of cornerback positions and the importance of hand placement. Surtain was named the 2024 NFL Defensive Player of the Year and became the first cornerback to win the award since Stephon Gilmore in 2019, while the former was just the second Bronco all-time to win the prize after linebacker Randy Gradishar did so in 1978. Surtain appeared in 16 regular-season games in 2024, recording 45 total tackles (34 solo) and 11 passes defended, including four interceptions, one of which he returned for a 100-yard pick-six in Week 5 versus the Raiders. The cornerback also added a forced fumble and a recovery during the season. DeJean logged 51 tackles (38 solo) as a rookie, including 0.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries across 16 regular-season games in 2024. DeJean's biggest and best moment came in Super Bowl LIX against the Chiefs, when he picked off Patrick Mahomes for a 38-yard interception return for a touchdown on his birthday.

Aaron Rodgers on picking Pittsburgh: "It starts with Mike Tomlin"

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers made his Steelers debut on Tuesday, during the first day of the team's mandatory minicamp. After practice, he met with Pittsburgh reporters for the first time. The first question posted by the team on social media was this: Why was Pittsburgh the right fit for him? 'I think it starts with Mike Tomlin,' Rodgers told reporters. 'I've been a fan of his for a long time. There's a few iconic franchises in the NFL. I played for one of them for 18 years. This is another one of those. There's something special about — obviously this area, so many great quarterbacks are from Pittsburgh. 'I feel like Pittsburgh has been a part of my career from the beginning, playing for Mike McCarthy for 13 years, having Tom Clements — or Tommy Clements, depending on how old you are — as my quarterback coach forever, Tom Capers, Kevin Greene, Darren Perry, Ben McAdoo, Frank Cignetti, Luke Getsy. I don't want to forget anybody, but a lot of 'Yinzers' in my life.' There will be more than a few Yinzers in his life going forward. He becomes the most important resident of the Steel City. And he arrives at a time when many are skeptical. Many will likely stay skeptical until Rodgers plays and wins some games with the third team of his career. Especially since the last two years with the non-iconic Jets were less than iconic for Rodgers.
