Luxury hotel offering Elemis spa treatment with a free £101 beauty gift

Those in need of a relaxing staycation might find this to be the perfect deal
For those in need of a spa escape that doesn't break the bank, a luxurious staycation could be just the ticket. With Macdonald Hotels and Resorts, those in need of a bit of me-time can enjoy a fancy spa stay for less this summer.
The brand's new Timeless Summer Spa Day is available at 16 of its spa locations across the UK, so it's possible to travel wide or stay close to home for that all-important relaxing break. Picture a charming hotel nestled in the most beautiful corners of the UK, jam-packed with everything needed to switch off, unwind, and recharge from busy lives filled with work, families, and the everyday stresses of modern life.
The day of self-care includes a luxurious 55-minute ELEMIS 'Couture Touch' Spa Treatment, which combines a bespoke facial with a deep-tissue massage. A full skin consultation is also included, along with expert skincare advice to help keep that glow going.
The spa experience doesn't need to end when the day is done, either, as the special gift of the ELEMIS Refine and Rebalance Kit in a stylish wash bag, valued at £101, lets the rejuvenation and relaxation continue at home. The gift bag includes the ELEMIS Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF30, ELEMIS Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash & Facial Pads, and ELEMIS Ultra Smart Pro-Collagen Complex Serum, all wrapped up in a lovely wash bag travellers can use time and time again.
As mentioned, all 16 of Macdonald Hotels and Resorts' spa locations are hosting the experience. Among them is the Bath Spa Hotel in Bath, a gorgeous historic location in a peaceful corner of Bath with landscaped gardens and 2AA Rosette food where travellers can soak up the vibes of the Roman spa town.
For those who want to escape into nature, there's also the Forest Hills resort in the Trossachs National Park in Scotland. Surrounded by sparkling lochs, towering mountains and gorgeous scenery, it's an ideal place to take a break from reality and enjoy all that Scotland has to offer.
While there are plenty more locations to choose from, Macdonald Hotels and Resorts isn't the only brand offering spa services. For example, Center Parcs has its Aqua Sana Forest Spas, which offer nature-inspired spa experiences in the heart of the forest.
It's possible to just visit for the day to use the spa facilities, or to extend to an overnight break with two full days in luxurious relaxation. There are also plenty of spa day deals on offer from Wowcher, such as this stay for two at the 4* Cambridge Belfry Spa which includes breakfast, dining credit, and health club access over a one- or two-night visit.
However, the Macdonald Hotels and Resorts have plenty of great reviews on TripAdvisor. One visitor to the Bath Spa Hotel wrote: 'My massage was amazing... The spa facilities were great, as it was sunny we loved having lots of space in the outdoor lounge area. The pool temperature was HOT! So nice!'
Another Bath Spa visitor wrote: 'The hotel is beautiful and very well maintained, our rooms were bright, airy and very clean, the bed was also extremely comfy. The food was delicious and the staff throughout the hotel were so friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel so welcome. They were all exceptional. You can walk into the city centre from the hotel as well which is a bonus.'
Some people had a mixed experience, such as this Bath visitor who wrote: "After getting changed we went to the pool areas which were clean but inside did lack seating for everyone but luckily it was a sunny day so we sat outside. Both pools were clean and lovely, heated outdoor pool was a nice touch."
Someone who stayed at the Trossachs location wrote: 'The spa was great. The massage was really good, Caroline was kneading bread with my muscles, amazing. The room was excellent, the bed very comfy and the service was great too. I'll definitely come back if I have the chance.'

Spending a day foraging for wild treats is enjoyable for all ages and totally free. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up But you must avoid private land, and always respect the countryside. Here's what to look for . . . BERRY NICE: It is the start of blackberry season — they can be used to make delicious jams and crumbles, or eaten on their own with cream and a dusting of sugar. You will find brambles along hedgerows, on the side of country roads and even in wasteland. Just watch out for the prickly branches and pick berries that are dark purple for the best taste. Elderberries are also ready for picking now. Find Elder trees in woodland or hedgerows with the berries hanging in little clusters. The dark purple berries can be used to make cordials or jams. NOT SO WEEDY: Many plants that are considered weeds found in gardens and woodland areas can actually be eaten. The Woodland Trust says that greater plantain can be eaten at this time of year. Look for its small oval leaves with veins running down it. Blanch, then sautee with butter for the best taste. Young dandelion leaves can be picked, washed and added to salads. Nettle leaves are also packed with vitamins and minerals. Use gloves to avoid being stung and pick the tips for the best flavour. You can wash and use with hot water for a health-boosting tea or try rustling up a delicious soup. I get $60 meals for FREE by foraging - I scored oysters and clams during my last trip FEELING FRUITY: Crab apples trees are found across Britain with apples ready for picking from now until autumn. The fruit turns red or orange when ripe. The Woodland Trust recommends using the apples for a glowing jelly that is delicious on bread or to accompany meat. The Cornish hotel overlooking a Georgian harbour and it's right by the beach

THE newly refurbished Pier House is posted in a listed building brimming with character. With its prime seafront location, it's a great spot to explore the Cornish coast. 6 6 Here's everything you need to know about what to eat at the restaurant, what to get up to during your stay, and how much the rooms cost. Where is the Pier House Hotel? The hotel is in Charlestown, Cornwall. The town has a historically rich Georgian harbour. Many of the rooms provide a coastal view onlooking the famed tall ships that have appeared in Poldark and other television series. The inn is located just a 7 minute drive from St. Austell train station, and a short walk away from the town centre. What is the hotel like? This luxurious guest house with a stellar restaurant is in a pretty Cornish village. The interior has the same rustic coastal vibes as the exterior. It's full of nautical colour schemes and maritime decor with a contemporary twist, and many of the rooms have seaside views. What are the rooms like? We stayed in Room 20, which offered views over the harbour and sea. It is the biggest boudoir with a dressing area upstairs, alongside a huge bathroom full of Elemis products. 6 6 The air-conditioned room had dry robes and a beach bag which proved handy for a picnic on the beach. The inn provides 4 types of room including the Superior Sea View rooms, the Harbor View room, the Classic room and the Classic Cabin. What is there to eat and drink there? When we arrived, we grabbed a coffee and sat on the terrace - a wonderful sun spot and a great place for people-watching. Dinner is served in the restaurant and the menu is extensive. Starters included rose harissa hummus and goats' cheese parfait. Choices for the main event were dressed crab, fish and chips and honey-glazed pork belly. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the restaurant had a laid-back vibe. The kids' menu was good too, and my daughter was particularly happy with her ice cream sundae. 6 What else is there to do at the hotel? The Pier House re-opened in June after a fire destroyed much of the building. It has been beautifully restored. We made the most of our time on the beach, wandering around the harbour and checking out the gift shops. The Eden Project is three miles away and the Lost Gardens of Heligan near Mevagissey is a brilliant family-friendly day out. The Pier House is found along the South West Coast path, making it a great spot for an active break. Is the hotel family friendly? Yes, the hotel is marketed as family friendly, with the request that children be under supervision of an adult at all times. The Inn is also dog friendly, welcoming well behaved dogs into select rooms with an extra charge of £15 per night. They ask that you get in contact before booking to confirm you will be assigned the correct room. How much are the rooms? Double rooms start at £135 per night including breakfast. Book here. Is there access for guests with disabilities? Most rooms must be accessed by a significant number of steps, however if you wish to speak to the hotel about accessibility, they suggest you get in contact. Looking for a place to stay?
