Delays seen in small village due to car crash
The emergency services were seen in a small Buckinghamshire town following a single-vehicle car crash. On the morning of Monday, August 11, two off-duty Specials from Thames Valley Police independently came across the incident that had occurred in Waddesdon, just outside Aylesbury. A photo taken at the scene revealed that a Fiat Punto had crashed into an island in the area. A spokesperson from the force said: 'After ensuring that the police and SCAS [South Central Ambulance Service] had been called, they gave reassurance to the driver and worked together to keep traffic flowing, maintaining everyone's safety. 'This allowed the incident to be resolved quickly once on-duty Emergency Services arrived. 'Thanks also go to two members of the public who stopped to assist, including a former Special Constable who served the community 30 years ago.'
