Five terrorists killed in K-P's Hangu, say police
At least five terrorists were killed during a security operation in Hangu's Zargari area on Saturday, local officials said. The joint operation was carried out by police and other law enforcement agencies after receiving intelligence about terrorists present in the area, Express News reported.
A fierce exchange of gunfire took place, during which Hangu District Police Officer (DPO) Mohammad Khalid Khan and Doaba SHO Nabi Khan were injured, along with one officer from the security forces.
DPO was reported to be in stable condition. He was initially moved to Kohat and is expected to be airlifted to Peshawar. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Kohat Abbas Majid Marwat accompanied him. Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed contacted the injured officers to inquire after their health.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a telephonic conversation with DPO, who was injured during an operation against the Indian-sponsored proxy 'Fitna Al-Hindustan.' He inquired about his condition and commended his bravery and leadership.
'Under your command, the police team displayed immense courage and eliminated five terrorists of Fitna Al-Hindustan,' he said. He lauded the entire Hangu police team for their successful operation and described their action as a significant blow to terrorism.
Naqvi also offered prayers for the swift recovery of DPO and SHO, who was also injured in the operation. 'You are the pride of the nation. We are proud of you,' he added.

Security forces killed four terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Kalat district of Balochistan, the military's media wing said on Sunday. Security forces killed four terrorists in a counter-terrorism operation in the Pahrod area of Balochistan province on Saturday night, intelligence sources said on Sunday. The operation targeted operatives of a group identified by authorities as 'Fitna-e-Hindustan', which has been connected to a series of recent attacks in the province. Weapons and a flag belonging to the group were seized from the terrorists during the raid. A clearance operation is ongoing to secure the region. 'Terrorists and facilitators of Fitna-e-Hindustan will be made an example,' said intelligence sources, referring to ongoing counter-terrorism efforts. Earlier, in Kalat district, at least three passengers were killed and seven injured after a passenger coach travelling from Karachi to Quetta came under fire near Niemurgh Cross. In another attack Terrorists belonging to Fitna al-Hindustan abducted and executed nine passengers after removing them from buses in Loralai district.

That heartbeat still echoes in every Kashmiri home, every wounded soul, and every mother who waits for her martyred son's dream to be fulfilled." He described the day as a moment to remember the collective will of the people of Jammu & Kashmir, who — even before the Partition was fully realized — envisioned their future aligned with Pakistan, bound by faith, culture, geography, and shared struggle. Altaf Ahmed Bhat strongly condemned the Indian government's persistent denial of this historical truth and its efforts to suppress Kashmiris through force, fear, and fabricated narratives. "India may erase articles, jail leaders, or silence voices, but it cannot erase the memory of 19 July, nor the truth that the people of Kashmir have never accepted Indian occupation - not then, not now," he added. He reiterated that Pakistan has always been the moral, emotional, and political backbone of Kashmir's freedom movement. He urged the leadership of Pakistan to further intensify its diplomatic and international outreach for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. Altaf Ahmed Bhat also paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs, prisoners, and families who have borne the brunt of India's brutal occupation for over seven decades.
