Jermaine Eluemunor claps back at critics, defends New York Giants' offensive line
The New York Giants have become a soft target and everyone loves punching down.
That's exactly what ESPN's Mike Greenberg and Damien Woody did on Thursday during an episode of Get Up, with each taking turns mocking the Giants and warning players to avoid the "disaster" of an organization.
Woody delivered a specific message to Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, urging him to steer clear of the Giants at all cost. Greenberg mirrored that message, taking aim at the team's offensive line and the Northeast weather.
"I'm all for people getting as much leverage as they possibly can," Greenberg said. "Matt Stafford can't seriously want to go to the Giants. I don't mean this as disrespectfully as that sounds, but ... You're going to a wind tunnel behind a terrible offensive line on a team that was just awful last year. Where the coach and the general manager's careers are basically hanging by a thread in that market.
"They're in a ridiculously competitive division. I'm all for trying to drum up leverage, but if you're Matt Stafford, [the Giants] can't possibly be right now anywhere near the top of your list, can it?"
That commentary, specifically about the offensive line, did not sit well with Giants right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor, who shot back at Greenberg on X and challenged him to come watch film.
"I'm not one to make excuses but before [OT Andrew Thomas] went down we were dogging some of the best DLs in the league, go watch the tape," Eluemunor wrote. "We can sit down and watch the tape together, my guy."
Like linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux, Eluemunor is fed up with outsiders taking potshots at the Giants. Unfortunately, this is going to persist until the team starts winning.

Dan Orlovsky thinks Shedeur Sanders is perfect fit for Kevin Stefanski's Browns offense

Don't be surprised if Shedeur Sanders ends up starting in Cleveland sooner than expected. ESPN's Dan Orlovsky said on 'Get Up' that Sanders is a 'perfect' fit for Kevin Stefanski's play-action-style offense which the Browns ran prior to Deshaun Watson's arrival in Cleveland. 'If this offense is going under Stefanski, at least rumors of what it was a couple of years ago, he's perfect for it,' Orlovsky said on 'Get Up' on Monday. 'He's perfect for the under center, play-action, control the line of scrimmage, see the defense — get from one, two, three, he's got to do it more quickly, but he's custom-made for that.' 3 Shedeur Sanders is perfect to run play action, according to ESPN's Dan Orlovsky. Getty Images Orlovsky sees Sanders as a more conventional, pro-style quarterback who lines up under center and uses the run game to his advantage as he methodically breaks down a defense, which is the opposite of quarterbacks who spread out defenses or run the option out of the backfield to utilize their legs. 'The way that he thinks, the way that he can see something on the board, take it to a walk-through, bring it to a practice that's [what you want to see],' Orlovsky said. The Browns ran play action on 25.5 percent of their pass plays (11th-most) in 2020 in Stefanski's first year as head coach, but that number that fell off a cliff to 18.3 percent in 2024 (10th-fewest) with Watson and Jameis Winston mostly behind center. Cleveland selected Sanders with the No. 144 pick despite having also drafted Dillon Gabriel No. 94 in the same draft, and the team also has veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett in the mix. 3 Dan Orlovsky explains what makes Shedeur Sanders perfect for Kevin Stefanski. ESPN Peter Schrager added that Sanders fell in the draft in part because he was only coached by his father, Deion Sanders, in high school and college, while also not having an agent or attending the NFL Combine. Only 13 teams carried three quarterbacks through their initial 53-man roster last season after training camp, so it will be a situation worth monitoring throughout the summer. Still, Orlovsky believes that the former Colorado star quarterback has a path to playing time despite being selected No. 144 overall by the Browns. Watson could potentially miss the whole season after undergoing multiple surgeries on his right Achilles tendon, leaving the team in search of a Week 1starter despite his $35.9 million cap hit. 3 Shedeur Sanders in a four-way quarterback battle. AP Pickett is set to make the most among the team's quarterbacks and is on a guaranteed deal this year, while Flacco has a cap hit of just $2.85 million and could a trade candidate if he doesn't win the job. Sanders and Gabriel likely will be batting in camp to stay off the practice squad.

"Don't settle for passing the ball and getting people involved" - Jay Williams urges Tyrese Haliburton to be more selfish vs. Thunder

"Don't settle for passing the ball and getting people involved" - Jay Williams urges Tyrese Haliburton to be more selfish vs. Thunder originally appeared on Basketball Network. Tyrese Haliburton has been the talk of the 2025 NBA playoffs because of his incredible shot-making late in games. With four improbable game-winners this postseason, many have started talking about Haliburton as one of the best clutch shooters in the league. Advertisement But while no one is questioning Haliburton's clutch gene, ESPN's Jay Williams called out the Indiana Pacers guard for waiting for crucial moments to unleash his offense. According to Williams, if the Pacers want to beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2025 NBA Finals, Haliburton must be aggressive from the start and maintain his appetite for scoring throughout the entire game. "Haliburton can close games, but champions open the game with intent and they set the tone; they don't just react to it… I need him to look at the rim at the beginning of the game," he said. The Pacers win when Hali scores big The Pacers are 32-3 this season, including 7-0 in the playoffs when Haliburton scores more than 20 points. Advertisement In Game 1 of the series against the Thunder, he only scored 14 points and took 13 shots. But the game-winning jumper overshadowed everything. "I know that they got one on the road, but you can make a case that if he didn't hit that game-winner after Game 1, we'd be talking about the same tone. He wasn't aggressive. And this Indiana team is better when he comes out and attacks; just don't settle for passing the ball and getting people involved," Williams said on ESPN's "Get Up" program. Going into the fourth quarter of Game 2, Haliburton only had five points on 2-7 shooting in 26 minutes of action. He scored 12 points in the first eight minutes of the final period to try to rally his team, but by then, the Thunder were already comfortably ahead, and his points were meaningless. Advertisement Related: Shaq still doesn't want to put Haliburton among the best clutch performers: "I'm not ready to be like, 'He's the next Reggie Miller" Now is the time to be selfish Meanwhile, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been the opposite. He scored 19 points in the first half of Game 1 and finished with 38. The 2025 NBA MVP had 15 points on 11 shots in the first half of Game 2 and was clearly the aggressor from start to finish. Through the first two games of the Finals series, Gilgeous-Alexander has already taken 51 field goal attempts, almost twice as many as Haliburton. But some of that has to do with the team's offensive philosophies. Advertisement While Gilgeous-Alexander is the focal point of the Thunder's offense, Indiana's randomness allows anybody on the floor to lead the team in scoring. Some nights, that's Pascal Siakam. Other times, Myles Turner, Aaron Nesmith and Andrew Nembhard have big scoring games, and Haliburton has been more than willing to let his teammates shine. Still, if there is a time to be selfish, it would be in the NBA Finals, especially given how much credit Haliburton deserves for the Pacers' unexpected run. Playmaking is great. Setting up teammates is amazing. Pushing the pace and always looking for an open man is what basketball is all about. But at this point in the season, the Pacers might need their star player to be more of a scorer. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Last season, the New York Giants had the worst record in the NFC (3-14) and were tied for the lowest win total in the NFL. Heading into the 2025 campaign, their journey to being a competitive squad again will not be an easy one. Still about three months away from their first official game, the Giants have time to prepare. They're going to need it, as the NFL schedule-makers did them no favors this year. Before a new season gets underway, the staff at PFF put together a list of the top five teams with the toughest schedules in 2025. The Giants not only made an appearance on this list but came in at the top spot. The toughest 2025 schedules, per PFF Power Rankings 👀 — PFF (@PFF) June 8, 2025 The biggest reason why New York finds themselves with the league's hardest schedule is the division they're in. Both the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders reached the conference championship last year, and are poised to get back. On top of that, the Dallas Cowboys made notable upgrades this offseason in hopes of getting back in the hunt. Head Coach Brian Daboll of the New York Giants walks onto the field before the start of their game against the Indianapolis Colts at MetLife Stadium. Seeing that these games account for nearly a third of their schedule, the Giants are between a rock and a hard place. Breaking down their schedule, the Giants' challenges start from Week 1. They open the year with a pair of divisional games on the road. First, New York will take on the Commanders in D.C. before heading to Texas to take on the Cowboys. Returning home would typically provide a boost for a team, but that might not be the case for the Giants. Their first game at MetLife comes in Week 3, where they'll play host to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Aside from the Chiefs, the Giants have to face multiple contenders in their non-divisional games. Some of their notable matchups include the LA Chargers (Week 4), San Francisco 49ers (Week 9), and Detroit Lions (Week 12). Though their schedule is not easy, the Giants have one thing going for them this season compared to 2024. That being stability at one of the most important positions. After ending the Daniel Jones experience mid-season, New York had multiple players go under center last year. The organization is hoping that isn't the case in 2025 following the signing of Russell Wilson. Led by a former Super Bowl-winning QB, the Giants will attempt to compete despite their loaded schedule.
