Salman
recently shared how physically demanding his character is in the movie.
Salman Khan talks about his role in Battle of Galwan
'It is physically demanding. Every year, every month, every day it gets more and more difficult. I have to give more time now. Earlier, I would manage it in one or two weeks, but now I'm running, kicking, punching, and doing all that stuff. This film demands that. For instance, in Sikandar, the action was different, the character was different. But this is physically difficult—especially shooting in Ladakh, at high altitudes and in cold water,' he told PTI.
Salman admitted he was initially excited about the concept but acknowledged the tough conditions ahead.
'I have 20 days in Ladakh and then seven to eight days in cold water. We will be shooting this month,' he added.
Salman is known for bringing his films to the big screen during Eid, but this time he admitted that Battle of Galwan will grace theatres in January.

The film also starred Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Sathyaraj, Jatin Sarna, Sanjay Kapoor, Prateik Babbar, and Kishore in key roles.

Who is Anmol Gagan Maan? AAP MLA resigns from her party, also quits politics
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Anmol Gagan Maan on Saturday tendered her resignation from the Punjab Vidhan Sabha and later announced her decision to quit politics, too. Maan sent her resignation to the Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan, without giving any reasons behind her decision. In a message on X, Maan wrote in Punjabi, 'My heart is heavy, but I have decided to leave politics. My resignation from the post of MLA to the Speaker should be accepted. My best wishes are with the party. I hope the Punjab government will live up to the expectations of the people.' There was no immediate reaction from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Party sources said Maan resigned a few days ago and the party had tried to persuade her to reconsider her decision, news agency PTI reported. According to a PTI report, the 35-year-old singer-turned-politician won her maiden election from the Kharar Assembly constituency in 2022. She had defeated Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) MLA Ranjit Sing Gill from the Kharar seat by a margin of 37,885 votes in the 2022 assembly polls. Hailing from Mansa district, Maan began her political career after the AAP in July 2020. According to her 2022 poll affidavit, Maan has studied till Class 12, the report said. Before taking a plunge into politics, Maan had made her name in the Punjabi music industry. She sang many songs like 'Suit', 'Ghaint Purpose', 'Sherni', 'Zamantan', 'Golden Girl', 'Royal Jatti', 'Red Fulkari' and 'Velly'. She later became AAP youth wing co-president and actively participated in the party's protest programmes and took on the then Congress regime before the assembly polls, the report said. She also sang a campaign song – 'Kejriwal hai' – for the Aam Aadmi Party before the 2022 assembly elections. Before the 2022 assembly polls, Maan had said that if AAP comes to power, the government would give the MSP on each crop 'within five minutes'. The opposition leaders used her video statement to target the AAP after it failed to fulfil the promise. She had accused administrative officers in Mohali of seeking bribes in her name in September 2024. She had levelled allegations against executive officers and tehsildars of Kharar of bringing disrespect to her. According to the PTI report, Maan also faced flak from her political rivals for the poor conditions of roads and the sewerage system at several places in her assembly constituency. She became a minister during the Bhagwant Mann government's first cabinet expansion in July 2022. She was among five MLAs who were given Cabinet berths. She was the second woman to become a cabinet minister in the Mann government. Her responsibilities included important portfolios like tourism and culture affairs, investment promotion, labour and removal of grievances, as report by PTI. However, the Bhagwant Mann government dropped four ministers, including Maan, from the Cabinet in September 2024. When she was a minister in June 2024, Maan tied the knot with advocate Shahbaaz Singh Sohi. They got married at a gurdwara in Mohali's Zirakpur with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and several AAP leaders attended the ceremony.

Iulia Vantur shares the advice she received from Salman Khan ahead of her acting debut: 'He would have told me to act less'
Iulia Vantur is debuting as an actor in Deepak Tijori's short film. She values the script and working with Tijori. Salman Khan advised her to act less. Tijori recalls being typecast despite Mahesh Bhatt's help. He missed the role in Maine Pyar Kiya. Sooraj Barjatya chose Salman Khan for the role. Tijori accepted the decision maturely. Iulia Vantur is ready to make her on-screen acting debut with Echoes Of Us, a short film directed by Deepak Tijori . While she's already made a name for herself as a singer in India, this marks a new chapter in her creative journey. In a recent interview, Iulia offered insights into what drew her to the project, shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse into her working relationship with Tijori, and reflected on the subtle but significant acting advice she received from longtime supporter Salman Khan. During an appearance on Varinder Chawla's YouTube channel, Tijori admitted he wasn't sure if Iulia Vantur would agree to star in Echoes Of Us. Reacting to this, Iulia clarified that she was drawn to the strong script and called it an honour to work with Tijori, adding there was no reason to turn it down. Salman Khan's Advice When the conversation turned to Salman —who has often been linked to Iulia and also supported the film on social media—the host asked if she ever seeks acting advice from him. With a smile, Iulia quipped that Salman would probably just tell her to 'act less,' emphasizing his belief in subtlety over theatrics. Tijori chimed in during the conversation, noting that Salman Khan's approach to acting aligns with what Mahesh Bhatt also instills in his actors—that 'not acting' is often the hardest, yet most powerful, part of the craft. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Villas For Sale in Dubai Might Surprise You Dubai villas | search ads Get Deals Undo He explained that true skill lies in recognizing when a performance is going overboard and reining it in. Deepak Tijori on Craft and Collaboration Reflecting on his career, he admitted that accepting certain roles out of loyalty to friends had an adverse impact on his professional growth. He acknowledged being typecast by the industry and said that despite Mahesh Bhatt's efforts to help him break that image, commercial considerations ultimately won out. Tijori recalled that Mukesh Bhatt had once advised Mahesh against casting him in a lead role, citing it as a business-driven decision—something he understands and does not resent. Missed Opportunities The actor once shared that he was among the final two contenders for the role of Prem in Maine Pyar Kiya, alongside Salman Khan. While his audition was appreciated, director Sooraj Barjatya ultimately chose Salman, believing his screen image would better suit the romantic tone of the film. Although the decision was disappointing, Deepak accepted it with maturity, acknowledging that the choice made sense for the story they wanted to tell. He has maintained that he never held any resentment over the casting and understood the reasoning behind it.

There's whitewashing in rom-com films, it's all hunky-dory: Mohit Suri
Mumbai, Jul 19 (PTI) In love, there will be pain, says filmmaker Mohit Suri, who aims to explore the deeper, often uncomfortable truths of relationships in his films, including his latest 'Saiyaara". Suri, known for movies such as 'Aashiqui 2", 'Awarapan", and 'Malang", said he wants to push back against the idealised portrayal of love that is often seen in mainstream romance dramas. 'In love, there will be pain. There is a certain whitewashing in a rom-com where everything is hunky-dory. When there is separation in love, it hurts, and if it doesn't hurt, it's not love enough to let the person go. Maybe I put more spotlight on it. 'For me, love is not about dancing in the mountains and flowers. Even though I've done that in some context, like in 'Humari Adhuri Kahani', but not the dancing part. If love is not real, then it's not felt. I believe in it more than I fantasise about it, and that's why I try to make films about love," Suri told PTI in an interview. Released Friday, 'Saiyaara" is an intense love story of a young couple, played by Ahaan Panday, who makes his acting debut and Aneet Padda, known for featuring in web series 'Big Girls Don't Cry" and the Kajol-starrer film 'Salaam Venky". The film is backed by Yash Raj Films (YRF). 'The song was taking me back to the moment when I met Udita (Goswami, his wife). When I made this song, I was standing under a hoarding of another film that Udita did, called 'Paap'. 'I told a school friend that 'She's so beautiful, I want to marry this girl'. Now, today, 21 years later, I'm married to her and share two children," he said. Suri believes the music in his films is always born from the script, highlighting memorable tracks such as 'Agar Tum Mil Jao", 'Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein", 'Aadat", 'Tujhe Dekh Dekh", 'Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai", 'Chal Chale Apne Ghar", 'Haal-E-Dil", 'Sunn Raha Hai", 'Tum Hi Ho", 'Galliyan", 'Hamari Adhuri Kahani", and 'Phir Bhi Main Tumko Chahunga". 'The songs have always been situational. It's the film that inspired them. I find it so much easier when you have a script, a character, a situation. So, if the music of my film is good, it's because it's been inspired by the film." The director also praised the newcomers Ahaan and Aneet for their dedication towards the film and said they were apt choices for the lead roles. Suri said the two actors watched his previous films to understand the nuances the filmmaker brings to his storytelling. 'It's important to watch the films you're working on, the kind of person you're working with, because somewhere, something of yours bleeds into your film. So, what I like the most about these two was that they were film buffs before they became actors and not fashion icons and so-called influencers," Suri added. The director also expressed excitement over the sequel to his 2007 movie, 'Aawarapan". Suri's cousin, actor Emraan Hashmi, is returning for the follow-up, which will be directed by 'Filmistaan" fame Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt. 'They are making a sequel for it 18 years later. I don't think many film directors can have this luxury that a film that didn't do well at the box office years is being made into a sequel or remake," Suri said, adding that he would love to reunite with Hashmi when he has an apt script for him.
