Hailey Bieber's 'must have' £5 nappy cream 'beats' Metanium for nappy rash relief
If you've been hunting high and low in pharmacies or Boots for Metanium's iconic yellow Nappy Rash Ointment, you've probably noticed the shelves looking bare. That's because the product has now been discontinued — a blow for parents who swear by it.
The brand has reportedly struggled to get hold of one of the ointment's key ingredient, titanium dioxide, meaning supplies have dropped to almost nothing. So unless you're willing to spend hundreds of pounds to get a few tubs on eBay, you'll need to switch to a new cream for at least the meantime.
New mum Hailey Bieber, who gave birth to son Jack last summer, may just have the recommendation you've been looking for. The model recently took to Instagram Stories to share her pregnancy and postpartum must-haves, highlighting the baby products she 'couldn't live without.' One standout was Weleda Baby Calendula Nappy Cream, now £5.30— her trusted choice for keeping little ones rash-free.
Packed with organic calendula, chamomile and sweet almond oil, it calms delicate skin while skipping any harsh additives. With zinc oxide and lanolin to form a breathable shield against moisture and irritation, it's gentle enough for newborns and perfect for sensitive skin.
Though the cream doesn't have the same key ingredients as Metanium, so it isn't fully comparable, looking at the reviews, it seems a fair few yellow ointment users have happily made the swap to this Weleda buy.
One writes: "Best nappy cream!!! As soon as I switch to anything else, a little rash will come up. This is the best and won't be trying anything else! The consistency is lovely, spreads on easily with a very gentle fragrance."
A second pens: "Best nappy rash cream I've ever used, beats that yellow stuff that stains everything."
"I used to use a different brand of nappy cream.. however after trying the weleda i have found my new go to cream. Great for my toddlers skin and has prevented any further nappy rashes. Amazing product," says another.
A fourth adds: "It has always cleared up a nappy rash straight away. However I do use it for every nappy change as it keeps my baby nice and soft and clear. I actually have started using it in all his creases (behind legs and arms) and has cleared up his eczema despite trying lots of eczema products that have never seemed to do the job. 10/10 product."
A fifth gives a slightly more balanced review, noting: "The cream itself smells amazing and is easy to apply, but unfortunately, when it comes to a nappy rash, it doesn't seem quite as effective as other brands I've tried."
Perfectly sized for popping in a changing bag, it's gentle yet effective at shielding delicate skin from nappy rash and dryness.
It creates a light, breathable barrier that helps protect your baby's skin from irritants and friction. Enriched with provitamin B5, it locks in moisture to keep skin soft, nourished, and hydrated.
This lightweight cream, enriched with aloe vera and shea butter, is ideal for everyday use, helping to soothe mild rashes or dryness while protecting delicate or eczema-prone skin.

Boots shoppers 'can't believe how good No7 cream' is and it's only £10
The No7 product is currently available for £10 as part of Boots' weekly sale Boots customers have been praising a beauty product that helps to "transform" tired and dull skin into something silky and noticeably moisturised. Users say they've received compliments on their complexion, and currently, their 'secret weapon' costs just £10. Usually priced at £17.95, the No7 HydraLuminous+ Day Gel arrives in a 50ml jar and is reduced for the weekly £10 Tuesday offer. Boots claims the gel delivers "72 hours of deep hydration" and seeks to make "skin look bouncier, plumper and more radiant in one week". The health and beauty chain wrote online that the gel features a "powerhouse complex" of ingredients, including hyaluronic acid. Despite providing these intensive results, Boots and No7 maintain that the gel is suitable for those with delicate skin types. On the Boots website, it explained: " HydraLuminous+ Day Gel instantly floods the skin with moisture for intense hydration and a healthy-looking glow, leaving you with refreshed and re-energised skin. This ultra-lightweight gel-cream melts into the skin to leave it feeling smoother in just one application." People can get alternative day creams elsewhere, such as the L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler Renew Anti Ageing Cream from Superdrug (50ml, £14.99 - down from £29.99). Also, there is the CeraVe Moisturising Cream (for Face & Body) that includes hyaluronic acid on sale for £12.79 on Amazon, reports the Mirror. However, plenty of Boots customers have been "using [the No7 product] religiously" and are witnessing the results. One said: "Lovely product makes my skin feel very soft. Absorbs really well." Another wrote: "This is one of my favourite day creams I have bought, it dries so quickly and make my skin look so healthy and glowy. My skin is usually quite dry and dull but this cream really transforms it, I love it!". A third commented: "After years of trying lots of creams for my dry skin, I randomly picked this up in Boots and it is the best thing I ever did! My skin has never looked better. It gives a lovely dewy (non greasy) glow to my face and everything looks and feels so much smoother." Some customers criticised it, including one who said: "It's a watery, sticky gel that makes my skin dry, sticky, and crepe. I have continued using it to give it the benefit of the doubt, but now I'm getting superficial spots." Another added: "I am usually a fan of No 7 Products but I am really disappointed with this product. I had high hopes for it but it left my skin feeling sticky, tacky, not a pleasant experience." Yet, the majority of feedback was positive and awarded five-star ratings. Someone who loved the gel said: "When I finally tried it out I was amazed by the instant results. My skin was dull and dry, and this made it look smoother and visibly hydrated. It looks so much healthier and less wrinkled, as it softens the lines around my eyes." Furthermore, one more customer shared with Boots shoppers: "Having just finished chemotherapy, my skin was ruined (I'd suffered really badly from 'chemo acne' and skin dryness). Since using this product, so many people have commented on how well I look and how good my skin looks (despite still undergoing some tough cancer treatment)." Many recommended pairing the HydraLuminous+ Day Gel with the matching Night Gel, which is also included in the £10 Tuesday offer. Ordinarily, purchasing both items would set customers back nearly £40, but this deal reduces the pair to just £20. Shoppers interested in the full range can see other items in the HydraLuminous+ collection online. At the time of writing, shoppers can take advantage of a 3 for 2 deal on selected No7 items - including certain HydraLuminous+ products. The £10 Tuesday deal ends when the clock hits midnight on August 12. Items can be ordered to be collected in store or delivered to your home.

Boots' 'magic' £10 No7 serum shoppers say makes under eyes 'look tighter'
Shoppers have dubbed the serum "amazing" and praised the "instant" results on fine lines and under eyes Boots shoppers are heaping praise on an "amazing" serum they say makes under-eyes 'look tighter.' The product is currently on offer as part of the retailer's weekly £10 Tuesday deal, which sees prices dropped on select products for one day only. The No7 Youthful Eye Serum 15ml from Boots is now £10, down from its original price of £19.95. The serum targets "key signs of ageing" and aims to give "younger looking eyes in four weeks." The full Boots product description reads: "The advanced formula with a blend of Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C and soft focus spheres instantly smooths, revitalises, revitalises and brightens to give the skin around the eyes a youthful radiance. In addition, an effective fusion of Vitamin A, Cassava and anti-ageing Peptides work day by day to visibly reduce wrinkles including crows feet, improve skin firmness and reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness." Alternatively, shoppers can snap up the BYOMA De-Puff and Brighten Eye Gel 20ML from Space NK for £13, or the L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Filler Eye Serum 20ml from Superdrug for £15.99. Elsewhere, Medik8 has the C-Tetra Eye Lipid Vitamin C Radiance Serum for £24. The No7 serum has racked up rave reviews online, earning an overall rating of 4.4 stars. Among the hundreds of reviews, one person said: "Magic cream. This was a lovely cream that had INSTANT results. It smoothed fine lines out." A second wrote: "Amazing. I've been using this eye serum for many years. It's the only product I've found that keeps the skin around my eyes well hydrated. Wouldn't be without it." A third shopper added: "Like most people, I'm a little bit sceptical when it comes to using new products that claim to make differences to the appearance of your skin. However, with this product I have noticed an improvement in the fine lines around my eyes. My skin certainly seems smoother and fine lines seem less obvious. The skin around my eyes seems brighter and more hydrated. I would definitely recommend this product and I will certainly be stocking up." However, some shoppers mentioned issues they'd found with the product and shared their thoughts. One wrote: "I've been using it twice daily for several weeks now and really do not see any difference, other than it does a good job of moisturising." A different person said: "I have a couple of fine lines under my eyes and this product did nothing for them, however the product is easy to apply, sinks in well unlike others I've tried and didn't cause any allergic reaction to my very sensitive skin and eyes." Despite this, many others continued to praise the serum. One happy shopper said: "Being a first time mom and having less sleeping time made my under eyes so bad. This is by far one of the best eye serums I have tried. It made my under eye skin looks tighter just overnight. It's like a miracle serum. Highly recommended!" Another added: "I use this with the Lift and Illuminate eye cream and it works by keeping my skin smooth and line-free."
