Two Doors Down's shock return confirmed as BBC reveal fresh details

TELLY bosses have confirmed that hit sitcom Two Doors Down is coming back for a Christmas special.
The comedy favourite was shelved after the last series following the tragic death of co-creator Simon Carlye.

But The Scottish Sun exclusively revealed in March that the sitcom would be making a shock comeback to be screened over the festive period.
Now the BBC has confirmed the residents of Latimer Crescent will be back on screens in December.
The whole gang will congregate at Beth (Arabella Weir) and Eric's (Alex Norton) house to celebrate Christmas 2025.
The neighbours are all back, including sweary Christine (Elaine C Smith), Cathy (Doon Mackichan) and Colin (Jonathan Watson).
Meanwhile, Alan (played by Grado aka Graeme Stevely) and Michelle (Joy McAvoy), plus Beth and Eric's son Ian (Jamie Quinn) and his fiancé Gordon (Kieran Hodgson) complete the neighbourly group.
Gregor Sharp, who has written the new special, says: 'It's really exciting to be revisiting Latimer Crescent with all the regular cast for this new episode.
"Christmas is a time for getting together with friends and family and then becoming low level irritated by them so it feels like they're the perfect group to celebrate the season with.'
Two Doors Down started as a one-off special in 2013.
Created and written by Simon and Gregor, there have been seven series and three previous Christmas specials of the hugely popular show.
BBC Director of Comedy Jon Petrie added: 'There's something comforting about having the neighbours round for Christmas, even if they bring minor chaos.
Two Doors Down star in unearthed Kids Say Funniest Things clip on anniversary
"Gregor and the gang bring the warm laughs, sly digs and brilliantly petty moments that make Two Doors Down such a cracking comedy.
"Expect it to sparkle on BBC iPlayer and BBC One faster than Cathy can pop a prosecco.'
And Josh Cole, Head of Comedy at BBC Studios Productions, and Steven Canny, Executive Producer, say: 'We're so pleased to be returning to Latimer Crescent and can't wait for the audience to be back in Beth and Eric's for another tortuous Christmas.
"Gregor and Simon created a brilliantly funny show that has an outstanding cast of memorable and lovable characters and we're hugely looking forward to seeing them torment each other again.'
Louise Thornton, BBC Scotland's Head of Commissioning, meanwhile said: 'I'm delighted to be working with our network comedy colleagues to bring Two Doors Down back to our screens for a festive special.
"It holds a very special place in the heart of our audiences and we're looking forward to seeing what Christmas treats will be unwrapped with our friends at Latimer Crescent.'

Tamzin Outhwaite makes dating app confession after split from toyboy ex

Tamzin Outhwaite has opened up about her experience with dating apps as she expands her search for love - but there could be one major flaw in her approach to online dating Tamzin Outhwaite is swiping for love - revealing she has signed up to a dating app. The 54-year-old soap icon has been single since last year after she split from toyboy fitness instructor boyfriend Tom Child. ‌ The star, famous for playing Mel Owen on the BBC show from 1998 until 2019, was previously married to Miranda star Tom Ellis, 46, from 2006 until 2014. The couple divorced amid explosive claims he had cheated - sparking the end of the relationship. ‌ The former husband and wife share two daughters together - while he welcomed another daughter with wife Meaghan Oppenheimer in 2023, and he has an older daughter from a prior relationship. Tamzin enjoyed a relationship with Tom Child from 2017 to the summer of 2024 - getting together after meeting at a yoga class. ‌ Tom Child is 20 years younger than the soap actress, and while the relationship is over, the former couple are said to still be friends. But now Tamzin has revealed she is ready for love again following her 2024 break up. And she has admitted she has turned to technology to try and find love via the algorithm and through swiping right - and left. But she also confessed she forgets she is signed up to the dating app - so some men may be waiting to match. ‌ Opening up to The Sun, she said: 'I'm single, I've tried the dating apps. I'm on one now but I keep forgetting to check it. I just can't imagine actually going on the date and going back to the small talk. It will happen one day but I'm certainly not waiting for it." She continued: 'I've been single for over a year now and I'm loving it too much. I owe it to myself to be single, because I haven't been single for this long, ever." She added: "I have always been in relationships. I actually like being on my own, it's really nice.' ‌ Last month, Tamzin opened up about the close friendship she had formed with Tom Child following their split last year and after seven happy years together. She told Hello Magazine: "He's still one of my best friends, and I adore him. But I had to say: ''I don't want to share a bed. I'm in a phase where I need to be on my own'." And last year, Tamzin opened up to the Mirror about her single status, having then recently broken up with the fitness hunk. She said: 'I'm happy single. There's a lot on! Life is really busy, throwing a relationship into that is a whole other thing. ‌ "Freedom fills up my cup, freedom to do as you please is a lovely thing. That makes me happy.' Tamzin, who took part in the Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special last year, said she is on a quest to challenge herself, build on things that make her happy and 'fill up my own cup' She was paired with Nikita Kuzmin for the Christmas Special - and shared that some of her friends tried to warn her off taking part in the cursed show. She revealed: "Some people have said to me 'oh you should do it' and other people have said 'definitely don't' - but these aren't people who have done it! 'These are actor friends of mine that are like, 'Why? Don't do it, it's going to be a nightmare' but actually this is a little taster for me. It's making me kind of think it wouldn't necessarily be a nightmare. My body might be able to hold up.' Sharing her joy for dance, she said at the time: "In my head, when I'm dancing I think I look like Nadiya (Bychkova). And then I catch myself in the mirror and I'm like, 'oh dear'. In my head it looks and feels really beautiful - I'm trying to be graceful but that's not in my comfort zone.'

Liam Gallagher's 'new measure to avoid feuding with brother Noel REVEALED' amid the once warring pair's Oasis tour reunion

Liam and Noel Gallagher 's mum Peggy is reportedly keeping her once feuding sons in check amid their Oasis reunion tour. Liam, 52, and Noel, 58, are said to been ' kept apart' in 'military style operation' when not on stage, but now their beloved mother, 81, is also on hand to help avoid a bust up. The warring siblings' fractious relationship came to a head in 2009, after a backstage fight in Paris led to Noel leaving the iconic Britpop band and they have been embroiled in a very public feud ever since. But Liam is said to be 'loving' spending time with his mum, to whom he is very close, and her presence is helping him 'keep his head down' and stay in the 'best mindset'. Proud Peggy is also reportedly ecstatic ahead of all her sons on stage at Wembley next week, with eldest Paul, 59, performing a DJ set ahead of the main show. A source told The Sun: 'Liam is incredibly close to Peggy and has loved spending time with her during the tour. [She] has always stayed out of their disagreements and just wants the best for her sons.' Liam (L) and Noel (R) Gallagher's mum Peggy is reportedly keeping her once feuding sons in check amid their Oasis reunion tour 'Liam has been keeping his head down and concentrating on the tour. His main priority is staying in the best mindset possible.' MailOnline have contacted Oasis' reps for comment. But despite managing to put their difference aside to get back on stage, they have reportedly required separate dressing rooms and transport to avoid a clash and resulting 'PR and financial nightmare'. A source told The Mirror: 'They will not be in each other's pockets and effectively be separate entities that come together for necessary promotional work and the gigs. Other than that they will be apart for much of this reunion. 'Rehearsals will be the first time that they will be together for a significant amount of time working again. The atmosphere is sure to be electric, but also a little edgy.' In 2019, Peggy told her youngest son Liam that he was going to bury the hatchet with his brother the following year, firmly declaring: 'And that's it.'ll. Since Oasis' split in 2009, Peggy is said to have continually urged her sons to put aside their differences - telling Noel and Liam that putting an end to their feud would have been the 'best 80th birthday present'. Earlier this month Liam and Noel's estranged father hit out at his sons by saying they 'don't know f***ing music'. Irish-born Thomas Augustin Gallagher hasn't seen the Oasis duo for years, who've never forgiven him for how they treated their mother when they were boys. Since the duo reunited a video has come to light of Thomas - who goes by Tommy - dismissing his sons' illustrious career. In the 2018 video, TikToker Jack Burke was filming in Manchester when Tommy walked past and intervened, saying: 'Have you heard of the band Oasis? I'm their father. Noel and Liam Gallagher.' When Jack asked for his name, he said: 'Thomas Augustus Gallagher' - pulling his passport out of his pocket to show to Jack. As Jack walks off, Tommy retorts: '[Them] guys talking about music, they wouldn't f***ing know music if it f***ing bit them.' In the comments section of the video, one follower claimed that Tommy is a regular where she works and often boasts about being their father. She claimed: 'He always comes in the pub I work in telling us all.' MailOnline has contacted Liam and Noel's representatives for comment. Tommy and Peggy divorced in 1986 after being separated for a number of years, with Peggy moving out of their family home in Burnage with their sons after Tommy's drinking and gambling problem spiralled into violent outbursts. Noel was 19 and Liam 14 at the time. Speaking about the split, Peggy previously said: 'I left him a knife and a fork and a spoon. And I think I left him too much.' Noel and Liam cut ties with their father when they moved out, with Liam opening about his childhood in a 2018 interview with The Telegraph. He said: 'I was about seven when my mam left my dad. He was out all the time, fighting, beating my mam up, beating Noel and Paul up. Never touched me, though. 'Then, one night, while he was out, my mam got her brothers round, got all our gear in a truck, left him a mattress, and we went off to our new house.' Meanwhile, Noel confessed the abuse he suffered at the hands of his 'violent, alcoholic' father made him worry about what sort of parent he would be. Speaking on Radio 4's Desert Island Discs in 2015, he revealed he developed a stammer as a result of the beatings he got from his father, and said he didn't want to repeat the mistakes which scarred his 'horrific' childhood.

Earlier this month Katie cancelled her appearance at Barnsley Pride just days before the event. The TV personality was set to entertain her fans up north on Saturday as they were ready to celebrate their LGBTQIA+ community at the free event. But the organisers have confessed that they are 'genuinely disappointed' as Katie had to pull out due to 'unforeseen circumstances'. Taking to Facebook, officials penned: 'We sincerely apologise to all our visitors who are looking forward to joining us for our Barnsley Pride 2025 events. 'The entire team here at Funny Gals shares in this disappointment, and we deeply regret any inconvenience or disappointment caused.' There are still some very famous faces set to attend the event with RuPaul's Drag Race winner Vicki Vivacious, X Factor's Sammy Brooks, Tess Tickle, and Gladys Duffy all performing. And while the cancellation from Katie and Kerry made have 'disappointed' the organisers, fans were also left in a frenzy as they said the news 'ruined' the day. They penned: 'Oh no Saturday night ruined!'; 'Nooooo [crying emoji].' The reasons behind the cancellation are still unknown. In May Katie was reportedly 'forced to pull out of her highly-anticipated tell-all tour' with Kerr y. The pair's show An Evening with Katie and Kerry - On Tour is set to kick off in Ellesmere Port on Thursday, September 11 and conclude in Hull on October 22. But after 'trying everything to make it work,' Katie will have to sit out the mammoth 33-date run due to childcare issues. The model is mum to Harvey, 22, with ex Dwight Yorke, Junior, 19, and Princess 17, with ex-husband Peter Andre, and Jett, 11, and Bunny, 10, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler. A source told The Sun: 'Katie is gutted and tried everything she could to make it work but she has had to step away from the tour because she has childcare commitments and also a very busy schedule.' They added: 'She hates letting her fans down and hopes to be able to do something similar in the future. 'At the moment, it's unclear whether Kerry will continue without her or if the whole tour will be scrapped.' MailOnline has contacted Katie's representative for comment. The duo are set to share 'stories of their friendship, marriage and divorce, bankruptcy, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, the importance of family, their constant press attention and turning their lives around.'
