Done Deal: Ostigard ready for Genoa return from Rennes
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio, a deal has been reached and he will be in Italy on Sunday for his medical tests.
Their first choice had been Jay Idzes, but Venezia were reportedly asking for €10m to sell, which made Genoa turn back towards Ostigard instead.

The Norway international had already worn the Grifone jersey for six months in 2022 when he was on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.
He made 15 appearances for the club, scoring one goal and receiving two red cards.
Ostigard remained in Serie A after that, as Brighton sold him to Napoli for €5.5m and he helped them win the Serie A title before moving on to Stade Rennes in 2024.
The central defender spent the last six months on loan at TSG Hoffenheim in Germany.
Between Genoa and Napoli, he has made 46 Serie A appearances during his playing career and will now return to Italian football for the 2025-26 campaign.

Three Real Madrid Stars Nominated for 2025 Ballon d'Or
The shortlist for the 2025 Ballon d'Or has officially been unveiled by France Football, and three Real Madrid players have made the cut: Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, and Jude Bellingham. All three are being recognized for their campaigns in what was otherwise an underwhelming year for Los Blancos. From Paris Saint-Germain, a staggering nine players have been nominated, including Ousmane Dembélé and Achraf Hakimi, on the back of PSG's treble-winning season. Notably absent from the list is Rodri, who won the 2024 Ballon d'Or but missed much of the recent season through injury. 🚨 BREAKING: Toronto complete $8m deal for Colorado star Djordje Mihailovic
Toronto FC have made a significant move in their bid to replace departing stars Lorenzo Insigne and Federico Bernardeschi, as they have completed a deal for Colorado Rapids star Djordje Mihailovic, reportedly splashing $8m plus on the American attacker. Mihailovic has scored 40 goals and 21 assists in 187 MLS games across stints with Chicago, Montréal, and Colorado, but has emerged as one of the best attacking players in the league since making his return from Europe in 2024. The Florida native will put pen to paper on a deal that keeps him in Toronto through 2027, but a long-term contract is said to be in the works already, as they reportedly see him as 'the face of a new era' after successive seasons without making the MLS Cup Playoffs. MLS only instituted a 'cash for player' transfer market in the winter of 2025 — Mihailovic's move would be the second most expensive intraleague cash transfer in MLS history. 📸 Omar Vega - 2025 Getty Images
