Off-White's IB Kamara, designer Torishéju Dumi receive honorary doctorates from Central Saint Martins
IB Kamara, 'a British multi-hyphenate creative based in London' and a Central Saint Martins alum, currently serves as creative director for Off-White, editor-in-chief of Dazed, and a consulting stylist with numerous brands including Chanel and Kenzo.
Mentored by the late Barry Kamen, Kamara has worked as costume stylist on Sampha's short film 'Process', directed by Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar, and in 2017, he styled a Stella McCartney campaign for the brand's #StellaBy collaboration. He has also styled editorials, campaigns and runway shows for brands including Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Nike and Ferragamo.
Meanwhile Torishéju Dumi 'one of the industry's most promising young talents' is a graduate of University of the Arts London. She worked at Celine during Phoebe Philo 's tenure and at Ann Demeulemeester. A graduate of Lee Alexander McQueen 's Sarabande Foundation, Torishéju launched her signature label in 2022. She released her first collection, Mami Wata, in 2023 and made her Paris Fashion Week debut with her Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
In all, the 12 recipients of this year's UAL honorary awards included influential creatives and artists across fields including fashion, theatre, video game development, sustainability, cosmetic science, curation, fine art, education and activism.

Ozzy Osbourne's funeral cortege to make final trip through Birmingham
The final farewell for the Prince of Darkness takes place today, as Ozzy Osbourne's funeral cortege will make its way through the British rocker's hometown of Birmingham. Thousands of fans will get a chance to pay their respects to the Black Sabbath singer and heavy metal pioneer as the procession travels along the city centre's Broad Street from 2pm CET today. The hearse will then make its way to the Black Sabbath Bridge and bench, where thousands have already come together to leave flowers in tribute to the artist. 'We're going to pay our last respects and homage to one of the greatest living legends of Birmingham,' said Lord Mayor of Birmingham Zafar Iqbal. 'He put Birmingham on the map. He put Aston on the map.' Iqbal added that it was important to the city to give the star "a fitting, dignified tribute ahead of a private family funeral". There has also been a book of condolences open at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, alongside the Ozzy Osbourne Working Class Hero exhibition. Fans (including Iqbal) have been queuing extensively for the chance to write in the book. Speaking about today's tribute with the BBC, Iqbal said about the fans that the 'love they showed Ozzy and his family was immense', and that he was grateful to the Osbourne family for funding all of the associated costs and enabling the event to go ahead. The city council said for those not able to make the event, the live stream of the Black Sabbath bench will continue to be viewed online. Ozzy died at the age of 76 on 22 July, shortly after he took to the stage for the Back To The Beginning farewell gig in Birmingham on 5 July. Osbourne and his Black Sabbath bandmates Terence "Geezer" Butler, Tony Iommi and Bill Ward were awarded the Freedom of the City in June, before the Back To The Beginning show, honouring their "significance to the cultural and musical identity of Birmingham". Ozzy's cause of death has not yet been revealed, but the rocker was dealing with numerous health issues, including Parkinson's Disease. His "final bow" gig with his Sabbath bandmates at Villa Park raised about £140m (€160m) for charity. A film documenting the gig is currently in production and is set to hit theatres next year.

BFC teases City Wide Celebration details with big names and four-city focus
This will include the launch of ' At Home With'. Presented by London Fashion Week (LFW) principal partner 1664 Blanc, it will feature a nationwide series of talks and panel discussions 'spotlighting the cultural and geographic roots of some of Britain's most celebrated designers'. These will (so far) include Barbour, Kazna Asker, Matty Bovan, Nadine Merabi, Patrick McDowell, SS Daley, Talia Byre and The Winter House, as At Home With 'celebrates the impact of British fashion beyond London, championing regional talent and engaging local communities'. Through the series, 1664 Blanc said it 'continues its commitment to championing emerging designers and making LFW more accessible to a broader audience, both in the capital and nationwide'. Meanwhile, the series 'supports a new strategic direction' set out by BFC CEO Laura Weir ' to decentralise British fashion from London and spotlight creative excellence across the UK'. The programme also aims to complement the recent announcement of the BFC Fashion Assembly, a pilot initiative conceived by Sarah Mower, BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent, which received strong industry support. The Fashion Assembly is a creative education programme that will be rolled out in schools nationwide from 2026. Together, CWC and the Fashion Assembly 'represent a bold, joined-up approach to redefining the national narrative of British fashion, rooted in place, purpose, and potential'. The CWC programme kicks off in Liverpool (6 September, 15:00-17:00) featuring SS Daley, Patrick McDowell and Talia Byre (moderator) taking place at the Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, Liverpool One. It then moves on to Manchester (13 September, 13:00-15:00) featuring Nadine Merabi, The Winter House, Matty Bovan and Kazna Asker, moderated by Emma Davidson, Dazed's fashion director of Editorial and Partnerships, at the Orient Stage, Trafford Centre. London (21 September, 12:30-13.30) still has details to be confirmed but so far we know Aaron Esh and Labrum will appear, moderated by Hetty Mahlich at 180 The Strand. Finally, Newcastle (30 September 18:30-20:00) will feature Barbour, moderated by Paul Toner, deputy editor of 10 and 10 Men, at Fenwick Newcastle, Eldon Square.
